Unleashed Doggie Daycare

Our dog Finn McCool has been going to Unleashed for nearly six years, mostly as a boarder when we go on trips. Sometimes I just take him there for a day of fun. Finn loves Unleashed and rushes to the door when we get there. The video cams and Facebook photos help us miss him less when we go away. Chris the owner runs a tight ship and is so kind with the dogs. She seems to have a personal relationship with all of them. The facility is huge, clean and there a lots of options for the dogs.
Chris carefully screens the dogs for suitability, so you can be certain your dog will be safe. An advantage for us is that she takes big dogs which means our goofy Labradoodle is not surrounded by tiny dogs all day. He can robustly play to his hearts content.

Unbelievably disappointed and never again. If you want stress, or last minute drama, this is the place for you and your dog!
I have used Unleashed for 3 years now and had been happy with them when we went away or needed overnights here and there. But apparently today, 10 minutes after being dropped off by my husband, my dog suddenly became a problem and needed to go somewhere else. I have never used another boarding facility, and this place was harder to get into than an Upper West Side preschool. So despite the rigorous temperament testing Unleashed does, them knowing her and her being scheduled nearly 3 weeks in advance I somehow needed to immediately call around and email veterinary records to make other arrangements for her pick up because she suddenly wasn’t acting like herself. All this while on a what was to be a relaxing getaway out of state with a friend. Boy oh boy did my dog pick a bad time to develop a canine chemical imbalance or what?
I get it, you think they’re doing the right thing and protecting the other dogs… but I can honestly say with all all my being is that all my dog ever wants is to hang out and play with other dogs. If she reacted so strongly with fear and aggression for the first time in three years it kinda makes me wonder what went on there before?
So over all, the lesson here is that if your dog acts like a dog trying to get together in a large probably over crowded group they’re not welcome. You will spend an unnecessary amount of time and energy being frustrated and making last minute arrangements for your four legged friend. So do yourself a favor and skip the restraining policies and practices of ‘Unleashed’.

I took my dog there since I got him in march. They are amazing with him and very sweet. I recently moved and we miss unleashed as there is no place that meets out standards because unleashed was so good to our boy. The webcams are an added bonus!

Chris is an outstanding owner. From classes to day care and boarding this place is amazing. My viszla is a known member of their tribe, and beyond well taken care of. Not to mention reasonable rates, the best hours around, and friendly staff. I wish all doogie care was like this!

Unleashed is fantastic! Our dog, Laila, loves coming to stay and play with her friends (both two and four legged). She gets so excited as soon as we make the turn in the parking lot. The staff here are great, very friendly and you can tell they love dogs. Laila has been coming here since she was a puppy, and got her training here as well. She loves her «playdates» and she comes home happy (and exhausted).
The staff at Unleashed will not take every dog — overly aggressive dogs will be politely turned away, with an explanation to the owner. This happened to a friend of ours, whose dog would pick fights with other dogs. While this is unfortunate, we think it is a great policy and we have never had an issue with Laila coming home with bites or scratches.
When we are away, we watch the dogs play (and sleep — haha) via the webcams. We also love to see the pictures that get posted to Facebook.
We could not be happier with Unleashed, and would recommend them highly to any dog lover.

After the third or fourth time bringing my dog here and spending hundreds of dollars they tell me my dog is not welcomed back because he barks to much. Instead of calling me the first 300 $ stay they wait until the fourth to tell me that they have been keeping him «isolated» so he would quiet down. The prob with This is the reason I pay the prices they charge is because I thought my dog would be playing and receiving the attention that I was assured he’d get. I should have been told the first time. When I picked him up I now know why he is so anxious to leave. Also he came home with a rash on his stomach and ate like he was not fed properly. He hasn’t gone to the bathroom in 2 days and a visit to the vet is inevitable thanks «UN-​leashed» for taking my dog the first 3 wks and caging him. I could have boarded him in a pound for free if I wanted him isolated.

Unleashed is awesome! I bring my dog at least 1 – 2 times a month for day care and she loves it. The staff is very nice and they know my dog by name. The best part is my dog comes home exhausted from all the fun she has. I also enjoy the pictures Unleashed posts on their Facebook page of the dogs having a great time.

The folks that run this place are wonderful. They have had my 2 beagles, Sophie and Dixie both overnight and just for the day. My girls come home calm and happy. I feel very relaxed knowing they are taking care of my doggies.

I brought my pup to Unleashed for the first time yesterday. He had a ball running around and playing with all the other dogs. So much in fact that he fell asleep in the car on the way home. He usually can’t sit for more than 10 seconds while riding in the car. He proceeded to sleep from dinner (6:30) till his potty time before bed (10:30) and was still sleeping when I had to wake him this morning. Money well spent! Sure beats staying in his crate while we have other engagements. He will definitely be attending again.
