Pleasant spot on Main, lots of outdoor seating and indoors as well. Service has been friendly for us, they’re attentive, informative and friendly. Food is pretty basic italian. Nothing crazy exotic, nor basic family style with ginormous portions. Just simple, middle of the road italian. Garlic bread was quite tasty, pasta well cooked and sauced. Most of the customers seemed to be enjoying their stay and we had a pleasant evening with town fireworks as desert. They have a private lot around back if the street is packed with diners and theater patrons.

Went there on a Thursday night at about 7PM. The place was empty inside with about three tables outside just groups of two. We sat down and after 5 minutes someone finally took our drink order. When the drinks finally came out we ordered clams casino, chicken parm, and lasagna immediately. It took 25 minutes for the clams casino, 30 for the house salads that had nothing but shredded lettuce and dressing on it, and 35 for the chicken parm+lasagna. Chicken parm tasted like a 16 year old had his first go at cooking a dish. No free refills and the wait staff was horrendous and not trained at all. Our waiter was not attentive. Bread was stale. Overall a horrible experience and will never be going back.

Went on a Tuesday afternoon and was seated in the BEAUTIFUL outdoor setting! They have a very extensive menu with all kinds of choices! The manager came out and introduced himself, overall a very friendly atmosphere. Food was great as well! Tried a salad, chicken, and pasta and all were great!

One of the worst dinning experiences I’ve had in a long time. The staff was rude, the meal took 45 minutes from the time of ordering to get to the table. Orders were missed. Apparently there are no free refills for soda or iced tea which is fine if that is your policy but you should ask the the patron if they would like another if their glass is empty. Also, if most everyone is drinking water you may want to refill their glass once or twice. The food was a disappointment for me but others in my party liked their dishes. The menu is tired and stale as the muzak they blared throughout the meal. Many of my party including myself will not be returning.

Tried take out for Valentine’s Day since I was sick. The website that’s listed on all the search results was not working, so we called and asked for their website. Obviously, we wanted to look at the menu before ordering. They said it «should be» a different website and if it wasn’t then they’d have to look into it. Well, that wasn’t it or it was down as well. How does a restaurant not know what their website is? So again, we called and asked for a menu emailed. The guy said he would«take a picture and send it.» Seriously? We never got it. Anyway, we decided to just call to and order typical entrees, Chicken Parm, Penne a la Vodka, and clams casino. Got the order home and realized that they didn’t give us the salads and they gave us the wrong pasta with the chicken. I didn’t like the clams and the rest was okay. Not great, but ok. The bread was not fresh either. Why does a customer have to jump through hoops just to figure out what our choices are? Bad service, okay meal, mistakes in order. We won’t bother going back.

Back to Tivoli for the second time — my wife’s tennis club gives her a gift certificate every year. Again they were off the mark mostly. We went on a Friday night about 6:30 pm and we were greated promptly by a nice young man and seated. The waitress was attentive this time, and after a short wait we had our drinks and bread. From there it went south. The bread was cold, and dry, bordering on stale. The waitress came by 15 minutes after we placed our order and asked me if I ordered an appetizer. She knew I did because I saw her write it on her pad. She told me she forgot to put it in, and she asked if I still wanted it, and when questioned on our main dish, admitted that they would be out shortly so I declined. The salads were poor — just lettuce with a teaspoon of shredded carrot. No tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons, cheese — nothing but lettuce and dressing. Really? The main dish was good — veal scallopini special, nice veal in wine sauce with a side of seasonal veggies — no complaint. So service — D+ Bread — D Salad — D Appetizer — Unknown Main course — A Lastly the manager was in the dining room frequently, never once stopped to ask us about our meal, even when he took our credit card and gift certificate. We won’t be back unless my wife gets another gift cert.

Bottom line: a nice restaurant for humans with a lovely shaded outdoor patio that welcomes dogs. We were out and about with our(fairly small) dog today and wanted a restaurant that allowed dogs in their outdoor areas. (the go-to website for dog-friendly restaurants) recommended Tivoli in New Milford, so we headed up there. We both ordered and enjoyed the Toscano salad(various greens, artichoke hearts, roasted peppers/mushrooms, olives and grilled chicken). The waiter was efficient and friendly, service was quite good, and the price was very appropriate. The waiter brought a huge bowl of very cold water for our dog, and she sat while we ate(I should say that she’s a very chill dog and pretty much rested throughout our lunch).

The last meal that I had here is the last meal that I will be having here. Inconsistent food, but consistently rude staff.

Food was pretty good but the service was terrible. Had to ask for the bread three times. The waitress just plain ignored us. I think maybe most of her tables were in another room. I felt the portions were very small for the price. I enjoyed eating outside. Nice atmosphere.

Probably one of the worst Italian wanna be places I’ve been to. Bad sauce totally bland, pasta over cooked, service poor even with no other customers at the time. We have tried atleast 4x here and complete failure every time. I’m totally confused by why people go here. What are you ordering that we should be? What’s with the human bird cage outside?

I’m not impressed with this restaurant at all. They brought us bread and butter first and the bread was the worst I’ve ever tasted in my life. Cold n dry. No reason to full my tummy with that kind of bread. Table was filthy. Not going back for sure.

Tivoli is worth a try. The waiter we had was great. He knew the menu well. I didn’t care for the bread. We ordered the calamari which was excellent; a salad with chicken on it and a large pizza. The traditional pizza was perfectly cooked and simple. Our son liked it. We would return.

The good was edible but the waitstaff was horrendous. The hostess was lovely. I felt bad for her. They should get new servers and the place would do much better.

WARNING!!! I made the mistake of bringing a client here. The snarky old waitress/hostess gave this regretful look that we were even born. Then proceeded to make it seem like a chore to seat us. Then it got worse the waitress didn’t know how to open a wine bottle? So I opened it for her. The salad came with a soft cheap provolone they called parmigian. Ugh and then the pizza came… big soggy crust and overloaded with cheap greasy cheese. Calling this Italian is offensive, it’s such shitty quality food. Almost as offensive as that birdcage, another New Milford zoning fail.

This place is awful. I came in with my friends to eat an hour before they closed. The doors were open, the open sign was on, and their was a sign with their hours on it. We walked in and there was nobody around to help us. So we waited around for a bit. We weren’t in a hurry. Eventually a waitress came out and asked us if she could help us as if she had no idea why we were there. We asked if we could be seated, and we were refused service. We didn’t want to make a fuss, plus who would want to give them money after that service. So we left. And now we’ll never go back. Can’t really comment on the food, of course. But I’m sure it’s just as bitter and awful as their staff.

A quaint restaurant with a view of the town square. The service was prompt and efficient. The waitress made great recommendations and the buss boy kept our table clear and water cups full. At the recommendation of the server I chose the mahi mahi which had a delicious lemon sauce. The fish was flakey and was fresh. My girlfriends penne primavera was well seasoned and the past was cooked perfectly. For desert, We had the crème Brule. While Good, it wasn’t the best I’ve had. Overall, pricing was decent, the staff was good, and so was the food.

Ordered the prosciutto pannini with fries. Which was good. I felt like the staff was snobby and constantly had a nasty skank face. It was terrible, the service which makes eating there again never an option

We had an excellent late lunch/early dinner! The service was fine, the food was great! We had the shrimp primavera, which had a delicate white wine buttery sauce and the penne pollo, except I sub. spaghetti for the penne. I’m glad there is no children’s menu, if there were children there, we probably would have left. I have grown, adult children, so yes, I did enjoy taking them to dinner, but to a FAMILY restaurant. We dine out frequently, and often order appetizers while deciding what to order as an entrée, so a «long» wait to some, is DINING to others. Being from the New Haven area, we have our share of fine Italian establishments, and I must say, Tivoli was a pleasure!

I have absolutely nothing good to say about this restaurant. I’m usually very understanding and forgiving, but after the 3rd time of being snubbed and not receiving service… we decided to throw in the towel. Don’t waste your time or money. Try PIccolina down the street instead.
