My buddy wanted to purchase a rifle that the owner of the shop had posted on Facebook. He called the shop and spoke to the owner Vic and specifically told him that we were driving from new haven all the way to New Milford and would not bother making the trip if the rifle was not available for sale. «Dick» whoops I mean Vic assured my friend that the rifle was available for purchase and suggested we make the 1 hour trip to the store so my buddy agreed. We get to the store which is literally the guy’s garage that was converted into a makeshift gun store. We walk in and see the rifle and right away I notice there’s a little, paper, hang tag on the trigger that states«for law enforcement only» right away a little bell goes off in my head and I know there’s obviously more to the story with this rifle that was obviously withheld from us when we conversed on the phone. My friend informs Vic that he would like to purchase the rifle to which Vic responds«Oh that rifle isn’t approved for sale yet in the state of Connecticut but if you want you can leave a $ 100.00 deposit in order to be guaranteed the rifle when it’s approved for sale by the state police». Needless to say my friend and I were less than thrilled with this response. Basically«Dick» I mean Vic blatantly lied to us so he could get us to drive all the way up to his«garage» and waste our time. This is the absolute epitome of terrible business practices. Nothing worse than blatantly omitting pertinent information. Little does Vic know he missed out on $ 2,000.00 in business cause the next day my friend and I drove to another firearms shop and he purchased a .308 saiga, a 5.56 saiga and a Remington 12 gauge shotgun. No Vic your response is an absolute fable you know damn well we were there for the vz58. There was not one mention of that abomination you call the«FM-14» rifle. I think your ego is bruised so your scrambling for any kind of defense to take the limelight off your blatant lies. Hey to be honest I could care less about your bad business practices cause I didn’t plan on purchasing anything from you in the first place. I just want people to know what kind of person they are dealing with if they choose to visit your«shop». I know it must sting knowing my buddy dropped $ 2,000.00 the next day at another gun shop. Actually my buddy was going to purchase a saiga from you but he was so turned off by your story telling he couldn’t bring himself to spend his hard earned money in your shop. It must suck to have one review of your business and have it be scathing…
