This place was sooo good! The waffle cone was sweet and perfection! We stopped late and they were still so nice and the service was really fast! All in all total package!

We visited the mountains and made a stop here. Fantastic custard(hubby and I shared chocolate and cappuccino and the kid had vanilla with marshmallow) and very well priced. I wanted to try the chocolate peanut dipped cone but we left early sad the place wasn’t open. Next time! Oh and the staff is very friendly!

Driven by this place many times over the years and finally stopped in today and enjoyed some cool treats. They are fast and friendly and clean and they have a VERY nice menu with many ice cream/custard treats. We enjoyed many things, from a cone to banana splits to a strawberry shortcake and all were incredible! Prices are also VERY fair! Definitely look forward to going back again!

OHMY! Yummmmmy! It’s just an old school circus cart parked on the side of the road handing out deliciously creamy soft serve ice cream in any way you want it! We both felt like milkshakes so he got the chocolate one and I had a vanilla peanut butter(Reese’s peanut butter, mind you, I saw the jar!) shake. Smooth and creamy, not to liquidy yet not so thick you couldn’t drink with a straw, it was a perfect consistency and not one ice crystal was tasted. But you want to know the best part?! Drinking them both at the same time was even better! I hope we drive past this little jewel again, I want to try a sundae or maybe one of their freezes that they mix any kind of topping into it that you want.

We were CRAVING ice cream so we were on the hunt. On our way to the Kathy’s we drove past this place and decided to stop by to get our ice cream fix. So I was in the mood for custard. And like every other small mom and pop ice cream stands they have a menu that have way more options than space on the menu board. So of course I held up the line by reading through these options. They had everything, custard, ice cream, soft serve ice cream, toppings galore, regular cones, waffle cones, and pretzel cones??? Yeah, so I had to try the pretzel cone with custard. It was delicious. You got the sweet from the custard and the savory crunchy goodness with the cone. I’d have to say, in the 90+ degree heat, the pretzel cone had good water tight integrity. The only downside is that these things only come in one size. So if you want a super extra large pretzel cone, you are SOL. When we checked in to our hotel, we noticed that they have coupons. Check for 20% coupon with Apple Blossom Inn!

Love this place for desert after a post-hike dinner. Pretty impressive menu variety for such a small place. Never been disappointed.

OK, a small out of the way place but what good custard. We stumbled upon this place last year on a road trip and now the kids wont let me pass it by on any more trips through VA.

We headed out to Pack’s from Luray for an afternoon treat. It was a pretty drive through farmland and then over the ridge. They serve commercial soft serve ice cream — not custard. They have one of the machines that streams different color(and presumably different flavor) syrups while dispensing the soft serve. As noted by another reviewer, the soft serve was not that cold, and melted fast. Our youngest had a little trouble keeping up with the melting, older kids were able to eat fast enough to keep up. I had a malted shake, which was very good. Just like malted milk balls. Overall this is a cute place and everyone enjoyed their cones. That said, there must be a market in Luray or New Market for a shop that actually makes their own ice cream or custard.

Custard with fudge on it from this place is so good I am almost willing to drive the 2.5 hours from DC to get some! Anytime I am in Virginia I amke sure to go to this place. It is worth skipping dinner for!

We saw a crowd around this stand and made a stop on our road trip to pick up a cone of black raspberry swirled with vanilla frozen custard. It was our little snack stop after going to the Luray Caverns. It was consistently smooth and delicious! I’m withholding just one star because it was a bit too soft and melted very quickly. The lady said they are known for their shakes(including a peach one!) and sundaes, which many folks ordered and seemed to enjoy, but we wanted something lighter. They also have pretty creative concoctions including a pumpkin sundae with homemade pumpkin bread, which we also considered! I’ve uploaded photos of their menu so that you can peek at the other creations they had during our visit!
