Had a wine gift basket made up. They allowed me to personalize the basket with wine glasses I had purchased from another store. They were very helpful with picking the wine for the basket. All the employees are very friendly. I was thrilled when I went back to pick up the basket, it was done beautifully! Great price also. So happy! I will definitely be back!

I used to come here all the time — new owners and they don’t carry the same items. Also was always abel to come in and ask opinions on what type of wine to get. New staff not that helpful. I miss the old lake success wine :(

I gave this place a few chances because of its proximity to my home and good Scotch selection. But these people running the joint seriously fail to grasp an understanding of the customer service people expect in this country. The teenage mutant ninja turtle working the register coldly eyeballed me like I had disturbed his nap. This store would do great if not for the crappy feeling you get when you enter.

I have been buying Wine from this store for a couple of months. I have typically had no problems or a sour experience until today. Having recently moved to this area from Pennsylvania I do not yet possess a New York driving license. As I went over to the checkout counter a grubby unshaved man with white hair probably in his 40s served me. He asked for my ID and as before I whipped out my drivers license. He slipped it back to me saying«we only take new york ids here». I said, this is a US state issued ID and I’ve been here tons of times before, to which he replied and I quote«yeah, and what the F*ck does that mean?» The bottom line is that whether or not there is a law that stipulates to solely possess new york ID to buy alcohol, he had no reason whatsoever to use obscenities or foul attitude for an exchange that took no less than 2minutes. I drove not two blocks from there and bought my wine with no obscenities or foul attitude thrown at me. I am unsure if this man is the owner or just an uncultured moron but rest assured I will be taking my business elsewhere henceforth. Also, it will be my moral responsibility to tell everyone I know from the New Hyde Park area NOT to be buying from the Lake Success Wine & Liquor store. Thank you for reading.

This liquor store has a expansive selection of wines from all over the world. The owner/employees know their wine and always offers a good pairing for any food you throw at them. The prices are decent and parking is a breeze. They also have liquors that you wouldn’t find in the smaller liquor stores.

Basic no frills liquor store. They have a good selection and the family who owns the place are knowledgable with their wines. Prices are comparable with other stores in the area

So they never really spent a lot of money to give you fancy carpeting and a pretentious soundtrack. Family owned wine/liquor store, large selection of Kosher wines, Scotches and Vodkas for some reason. Decent selection of Italians/Spanish/German wines. People working behind the counter, as well as floor employees are fluent in the wines they sell. Parking is super easy because you can park in the less-crowded lot in the rear.

Ugh. Yes Ugh. Thats my adjective to describe this place. I come here b/c I live close by and its close to Iavarone Bros, so it can be convenient. But thats where the goodness stops. They have a good selection of wines, and also a few to chose from in the fridge, but this place just feels like a warehouse, and its just impersonal and cold. Call me a weirdo, but I like to have an «experience» when I buy wine. But it is open on Sundays, so if you’re in the area and need some spirits, then try this place. Its no frills though.
