This review is about Stacie Castle, the nutritionist in the practice.
I had an appointment scheduled with Ms. Castle recently and when I came in to the office, she asked for my insurance cards.
There was an apparent miscommunication about insurance, and Ms. Castle shook her head at me, spoke to me in a scolding manner, and embarassed me in front of the entire office staff and other patients in the waiting room. Worse yet, she attempted to discuss insurance information with me in front of all of these people, which is a blantant HIPPA violation.
Given her demeanor and unwillingness to participate in insurance that she has a contract with, I cannot see how patients are successful working with her. For some reason, the only reviews of Ms. Castle to be found online are the ones on her own website.
All of this happened because she realized that she would have to submit a claim to my primary insurance company for a denial letter, which she could then submit to my secondary insurance and receive her payment. Unwillingness to do so and especially demanding a fee out of pocket while threatening to not see a patient is the definition of insurance fraud. If she was unaware of this, she could have at least let me finish when I tried to explain it to her. In the middle of the reception area.
