The Wishing Well Guesthouse

The Wishing Well Guesthouse is the best! This was my first bed and breakfast experience and I loved it! I can’t wait to go back! Jay was the best! He was so welcoming and friendly! We stayed in the blue room and it was perfect! It’s hidden behind a secret bookcase door which was super cool. The breakfast was delicious! Jay made the best blueberry pancakes but we were told we need to go back for the baileys French toast! I highly recommend the wishing well!

The Wishing Well is amazing. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast was Fresh and delicious.
Make sure to go out back and take the path to the water. Very nice and very quiet.
We stayed in the Blue room which is hidden behind a secret book case. It was very nice and cozy.
We will def be going back in the future!

I will definitely return to The Wishing Well Inn! Daniel was a pleasure to make the arrangements with and Jason made me feel extremely welcome when I arrived. My room was perfect — cozy, comfortable, and a quick trip to the coffee and breakfast the next morning. I really appreciated being able to make last minute arrangements at an affordable rate, and then be made to feel so welcome. Thank you!

Authentic historic farmhouse with a handful of guestrooms. Furnishings, floor planks, period doors and locks etc all have a huge helping of rustic charm. Read: Do not book in here if you like being pampered and spoiled and are a very regimented person who wants every little thing just so. DO book here if you like quirky historic housing and creeky rambling halls and stairs, and might not mind if your (screened) bathroom window doesn’t ever shut fully, for instance. I stayed in the Royal Room which is perfect for a single traveler but may be a bit tight for couples: little touches like the wooden, breakfast-​in-​bed tray make it feel really well-​planned-​out-​though do bring your own shampoo and conditioner, but they have soap and lotion, cotton balls and Qtips. Owner and staff super nice and friendly. (Not so, the jerk I ran into in the kitchen and said hi to and he ignored me; poor thing, storming off to his car alone to leave… guess he didn’t have as fun a night as I did!) Very cute back garden with lots of birdlife by the small parking lot. I couldn’t get the WiFi signal to work but, meh, I have 4G, and I wasn’t in my room much anyway. Also, I didn’t get the B part of my B&B, but maybe I misheard when I thought breakfast was until 11. Note: Guesthouse is gay friendly.

My husband and I stayed over the 4^th of July weekend (Fri-​Mon). This was our second stay. (1^st stay was Columbus Day weekend 2010). This stay we were in the Cathedral room and previously we were in the Blue Room. We love coming here. The owner, Dan, is nothing but gracious and accomodating. He got us reservations Saturday afternoon for Saturday night at one of the busiest restaurants in New Hope and THEN drove us there!!! We can’t say enough good things about the inn. Vickie the inn keeper was great. She put out a great breakfast. Everything from eggs and bacon to cereal, coffee and tea. Even though the inn isn’t IN town it’s still in walking distance. We walked into town every day. You do have the advantage of having The Raven accross the street. During the summer they have a great pool! We will be back in the fall!
