Good food. Had a make your own sandwich. Stuff was fresh. It was pretty pricy though. At least for a restaurant in a rural area.

Came upon this café when driving through town while on a road trip. We were in need of breakfast and decided to give it a try. What a wonderful find it turned out to be! My spouse was thrilled to see Dutchfries on the menu, or as her mother used to call it, «Dutch eggs.» She hadn’t had that dish in years and was over the moon! She said it tasted as good as what she remembered her mother making her as a child. I had the two eggs with sausage and home fries. The sausage was not some ordinary breakfast sausage, it was fantastic! I think it might have been locally made. It was savory and delicious. The eggs and taters were good too! Ah, if only we didn’t live states away! This would be a regular on our weekly dining out list. Instead we’ll have to wait for another time when we make it up that way again.

The Squireside Café was a great choice for lunch. Their courteous waitstaff serve good, fresh food with a smile. I was impressed with the quality of the food and the attentiveness of our waitress. I really look forward to coming back to this café for breakfast, which I was told was served only until either 10 or 11 on weekdays, but served until 1 on Sunday’s. The Squireside has ample parking and a motel they own next door. They serve Turkey Hill ice cream and have an ice cream menu that looks decent(but I never save room for dessert!) My boyfriend and I both got nice meals and the check was a little over $ 20, so the quality of the food and the pricing is a fantastic match. We will be back, and we look forward to it!

If you’re into typical insipid Lancaster County menu from 1990 that comes out of the back of a Sysco truck, then this is the place for you. I ordered a grilled cheese with tomato. It came with two very thin slices of a near-white tomato. This is in Lancaster County… in August! There must be a dozen produce stands within a 3 mile radius selling beautiful, juicy, homegrown tomatoes and this place serves a white tomato? I just don’t get it. That indicates to me that the proprietors don’t care much about quality. We will never go back.

Being in the area for about 2.5 weeks, it became quickly apparent that the lunch options were limited for the New Holland area. Luckily someone suggested we go here and we have returned at least 3 times a week since. The menu is very large consisting of tons of sandwiches, great soup, various salads and vegetarian options. They have a bunch of ice cream flavors to choose from as well! The staff were all very welcoming and only once was the restaurant too busy to seat us immediately. The patio out back is a nice place to sit, if you can request it. If you’re in the area I definitely recommend stopping by here for lunch. Tons of options(I haven’t run out of things I want to try after more than 6 visits), all very fresh tasting ingredients and a lovely atmosphere. Try the Zesty Flatbread or the soup and half sandwich combo!

My girlfriend ran a marathon this weekend and we stayed at the Squire. well after getting screwed twice by the tourist traps paying 20 to 22 bucks per person for mediocre crap. we walked across a few feet to the café and had one of the most delightful breakfasts there. One of the best darn omelets that I’ve had the privilege of eating… the glazed french toast was really good too! Tourist traps? How bout a big fat No!!! Squire Café? Say yes yes yes! Side note service was a tad bit slow but it was Sunday and very crowded… But I would definitely go again!!!

I like to go here for lunch with a coworker during the week. I highly recommend the quesadilla burger and the breakfast sundae! Most of the time service is good and people are friendly. I think prices are a little on the high side personally.

I have frequented this place on many occasions with Family, Friends, and clients. This is the kind of place that if you didn’t know about it you would never know it was there. Its a small building that’s part of a small Motel. Also the service is fantastic — all the employees there are welcoming and fun to talk to. Food is fantastic. I have never been disappointed and the deserts are also amazing! My recommendation. Start out with a small bowl of Chili Then get there Turkey Ruben Sandwich with waffle fries. Finally rap it all up with a Brownie Sundae… Amazing
