The Cushing Center is a little known place that’s a «must see» for anyone visiting Yale! Where else can you see actual brains in jars? Well, that’s merely one of the attractions in this mysterious museum in the basement of the Yale medical library. The lighting is dark, and appropriately spooky. The walls are lined with shelves that carry a host of brains and specimens, highlighting various pathologies. There are many drawers and secret areas full of more exciting findings. The place is open to exploration, so when you visit, feel free to go wild! It’s a great place to bring a date or family, because it’s sure to peak everyone’s interest.
