One of the best small music clubs in the state, and definitely the best in New Haven! Always a great time at PST with incredible bands playing almost every night. Mixed drinks are fantastic and there’s eight taps that rotate frequently with a constant flow of excellent beers.

Five stars for the chill Lake Tahoe/Northern California hangout vibe(thus the name Pacific Standard) the layers of cool are enhanced by its location in a Space that was a Rave club in the 1990s and a Skate shop before that. This place is friendly to hippies, weirdos, NYC club dragsters, artists whose art is on the walls by a rotating crop of locals, nice large cooler of self serve water, no funny looks if you want to eat takeout on the bar with your beer. A really great spot to approach if you have a band, do art, want to throw an event.

I don’t understand why this place has so many good reviews. Awful mixed drinks They use shot glasses to measure it out. They are very weak and expensive. The music is great but that’s the only good thing I can say about the place.

Shame this place was dead when we were there. Live band was good though and we had all to ourselves pretty much. Bar tender… real nice guy from West coast… made excellent drinks and nice guy to chat to. Would recommend when a little busier perhaps although bartender made good drinks and very cheap.

I’m really unsure how this place got so many positive reviews. While it is a nice venue to see live music and hear local bands, that’s where the positives end. I have been there multiple times and the service is always incredibly slow(the place is never full either). The bartender used a shot glass to measure out mixed drinks and while they have a list of «specialty cocktails» they make, when someone ordered a mojito they had to find a manager to make it and it took nearly 10 minutes. Even the beer selection is below average compared to all the other places on the same street. Save the money you pay for a cover here and go somewhere else for live music.

Great beer selection(a nice mix of West Coast classics and local CT beer). Chuck and Adam know their stuff and are great bartenders and music bookers.

Awesome new spot in New Haven to catch live music. It has lots of great brews on tap, a laid back vibe, and is spacious.

Awesome experience! Bartenders are quick, music is always good, beer is always cold. Fireball on chill. Good people and good aura. Will return!

Great beer selection. The owner is very chill. Live music sometimes happens, which is cool. Generally, this place is not filled with idiots and assholes. Hopefully, it can stay that way.

This place is quickly making a name for itself as one of the best places to catch live music in downtown New Haven. The owner is very sociable, the venue has decent size and nice décor. The beers are a little overpriced IMO, but staying true to its name, there’s a great selection of microbrews from the west coast. The fish tacos are also really good, and despite the fact that there isn’t a full kitchen, the food offerings are thoughtful and definitely better than typical bar food. I have high hopes for this place, and I appreciate the ambition of breathing life into the live music scene in New Haven!

Great beers and seriously the best grilled cheese I’ve ever eaten.(I had to up this from a 4 star to a 5 star review because of that grilled cheese). Really great space for live music. There’s plenty of room to dance, about a dozen spots at the bar, and a comfy lounge sofa/table area on the side. Also badass sound system. Super friendly staff.

I didn’t know it, but-my beloved New Haven night scene really needed this. A good authentic go– to– with a lot of heart behind it. A great music spot for some nightlife action& I like the tandem effect with Stella blues. I like my cities to be bustling with good music & brews. It’s nice to have a little scene. I love the details, the wood work, the brick, the floors all of it. It’s a ‘solid’ option when hanging in new haven. A dose of the west coast without having to buy a round trip ticket on jet blue(which wouldn’t be so bad either). The fish tacos are ridiculously delicious and the west coast drafts with some local fav’s create THE perfect pairing for any night. I went on their page and it boasts«Fish Tacos, Shrimp Tacos and 8 tasty beers on tap including Sierra Pale, Sierra Flip Side, Lagunitas IPA, Lagunitas Pils, Rogue Dead Guy Ale, Rogue Shakespeare Stout(nitro), Anchor Lager and New England Brew Co 668. Tons of bottles and Cans» and guess what? they aren’t lying. This place rules. I kind of want to keep it as mine. But I want it to stick around– so you can go too.
