samosas $ 0.75, with free optional chickpea topping + tamarind chutney, this is probably the cheapest thing you can order at the science hill carts(2 make a nice small meal) combos $ 5 includes rice + a choice of 4 curries(if veg), i think the meat options let you add the veg ones as sides commonly available: saag, aloo, chana masala, baigan bhartha, daal i wish the curries had more spice, but what can you do when it’s cart food? styrofoam containers

As far as food carts go, this place is second only to the Thai cart on Church, and that may only be because it’s a little too far away from me for a full-on obsession to develop. It usually parks right outside the Yale School of Management on Trumbull. There are many carts outside the School of Management, but keep your eyes on the prize. You can eat like a prince here for pauper prices. If I were a hobo, I’d take my first 75 cents and walk over and get myself a steaming hot samosa. With my next 75 cents, I’d get another one. Seriously, they’re incredible. Just the right amount of heat from who knows how many spices and perfect crispy-outside-smooth-and-potatoey-inside texture. Bigger items that come with rice like chicken briyani, chicken curry, and chicken tikka masala go for something like $ 5, and if I remember correctly, these either come with sides or sides are negligibly cheap, because I remember getting a big heaping of spinach spooned over my rice and feeling like I’d gotten a sweet deal. Everything is delicious. Really, my only complaint is the long hike, but I guess with the amount of food they give you, even that is probably a good thing.
