Stopped in the other day on my lunch break. Ordered the Mac Supreme dog. Honestly, I was not impressed. Hot dog was bland & boring. And for a hefty price of $ 7.80(before tax), the value was seriously lacking. Needless to say, I won’t be back. I don’t get all the 5 Star reviews for Jordan’s Hot Dog’s & Mac — must be a bunch of whacked-out hipsters who frequent the joint. There are plenty of places you could get two tasty dogs for the price of one at Jordan’s.

They change your order at anytime, then make you feel guilty when the deliver driver arrives. Jordan uses the delivery service Zoomer, so Zoomer already paid Jordan for my order, and I’m supposed to pay Zoomer. Making it a complete headache if something was to happen to your order. The one time I want to pay cash, they decide to change my order without my permission. The total was to be $ 20, but for some reason they said their menu was wrong and«I made a mistake». How???

I have been to this place a couple of times. I really enjoy this husband and wife team. They really make a good dog or burger. I have yet to try the Mac and cheese with anything. But my husband and and it enjoy the dogs and burgers.

Omggg, mac n cheese on a hot dog? Took me right back to childhood. Only mama’s bowl of mac n weenies didn’t taste nearly as good. The bun was perfectly buttered and toasted. The dog is a ten incher so believe me, you won’t leave still hungry. The onion rings were some of the best I’ve ever had. I took my order to-go and it kept really well after the ten minute drive. Warm and friendly customer service!

Had lunch with my colleagues over Christmas break and ordered delivery. They were on time whixhbis impressive to say the least. What arrived was a perfectly well done dog with BBQ sauce bacon and cheddar. It was sooooooo good. The side of fries is a bit sparse compared to his competitors so that only gets 4 stars from moi(said in my Miss Piggy voice). Could’ve been more well done even. I definitely will order again at any rate.

Was in the area dropping off a buddy at Union Station when we decided to stop. We went for the basic dog with mustard and were both impressed at how tasty and flavorful the hot dogs were. The buns are perfectly toasted, crispy and chewy and the dog meat is split down the middle and griddle cooked to perfection. We both mentioned not having had a dog as good in a long time. I love hot dogs, Super Duper, Capital Grill, Blackies and even the Ikea hot dogs. Every dog has their own style and character; Jordan’s hot dogs are awesome in their own right. And the service was excellent too. Supporting small business owners is also a lot of fun and meaningful.

The first time this placed opened up I came here to try it out. The cashiers just stand there watching you while you order and eat your food. The food was bland and way too expensive for what you get.

This place is a new favorite. My friend was recently hired here and the owners seem to be great people too. The Mac dog changed my life.

Hot dogs are my favorite food. Jordan’s hot dogs were good. The chili was really good. My biggest disappointment is that they serve skinny long dogs. I think the hot dog is lost among the toppings and the bread. I would definitely be a repeat visitor if there were a regular short dog option available. Again, Jordan’s was good but skinny dogs(and lack of parking) was a turnoff.

This place rocks! I was so glad to find it. We really love eating in New Haven. There’s some really great places. We came and ate inside. No A/C and it was a little hot. The hot dogs were made to order. We ordered a mac dog and mac supreme dog. They were so delicious. The mac and cheese on top was so great and cheesy. I would eat just that all the time. The dogs were snappy. The buns were perfectly toasted. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I want to come back. The staff was also really nice and friendly.

I tried their chili dog with cheese. There was something unexpectedly sweet. Not sure if it was the chili or if the dogs were cooked on the same spot as something sweet on the grill, but it really threw me off. The mac n cheese was good, but reminded me of Amy’s Organic mac and cheese that you find in the freezer section.

GREATIDEA; Mac ona dog! the dog is awesome: a nice flatiron char, the bun is toasted perfectly, the mac is not too soft and wet, jalapenos and bacon are yum. This seems to be the perfect post bar-hopping spot, BUT they are not open that late. I went in at around noon and the crowd was minimal but everyone was drawn in by Unilocal or FB(grab the Unilocal coupon for the free Bacon BBQ Dog). I would have preferred the construction of the supreme to be a little different with possibly a layer of cheese melted on top to hold the mac on the bun. I can get to the point that you will need a fork on the back end to police up all the mac left behind. when in the Elm City, I will return.

Let me preface my review by mentioning I normally do not like hot dogs, never have. My husband loves them. He had mentioned trying this restaurant yesterday and said even I would love their hot dogs. I was skeptical but the bacon bbq dog made me a believer. Now I can’t wait to go back. I also tried the new englander which was great as well. Friendly staff, great service, cute restaurant and best hot dogs!

As a lover of hot dogs and macaroni and cheese, Jordan’s caught my attention. It looked good on paper, but how does that combination actually taste? Amazing. I met my friend Ray who works down the street for lunch. If I worked down the street, I could see myself having lunch here at least twice a month. What can I say: I love hotdogs and mac!

Mac and cheese on a hot dog isn’t for me, but I’m glad there exists a restaurant where I can try something like that. They have several other interesting varieties of hot dogs available, one of which — the bacon BBQ — is absolutely delicious. This place would probably become a regular lunchtime stop for me if I lived in New Haven and didn’t have a cholesterol problem.

Today was the first time eating here. All food was fresh and crispy. A little on the expensive side but I’ll definitely come back. Would recommend to anyone.

Several months ago, I was really in the mood for some indulgence food, so I went to Jordan’s. I had read great reviews and was very excited about their creative menu! Before I got there, I had some issues with finding parking. This establishment is in a bustling location, so parking in this area varies. Upon entry to the store, I was cordially greeted by the cashier. She took my to-go order and I waited in the empty restaurant for my food. The ambiance is nice, the establishment was clean, and it offered an open atmosphere. I received my order and headed home. Upon opening my lunch, I saw that the dietary modifications I had requested were not acknowledged. I was rather disappointed in this outcome, especially because the cashier had repeated back my individualized order. Recommendations: –Upon receiving your to-go order, check your food to ensure its accuracy before departing. Verdict: There is potential in Jordan’s, although I’m not sure if I’d go out of my way again to dine here.

Jordan’s Hot Dogs and Mac is a relatively new joint(since 2012) that came to be from a cart to a brick and mortar establishment. After speaking to Tiffany(a co-owner), she mentioned that the joint is named after her son who has a special affinity for hot dogs with macaroni and cheese on top. From the outside, the place looks cozy and inviting(I was digging the store front paint job). Upon entering and seeing of photos of hot dogs plastering the walls, it was clear that this place was all about the dog! RATINGS:… John: 9/10, Me: 8.5÷10. John said, «We had our typical mustard, onion, sauce. It was a 10 inch dog. It was fantastic, split-top, grilled with a lot of flavor to the dog. The chili was good. When it first came out, I thought the onion on it was going to be overpowering(it was a nice raw onion), but it actually blended in with the mustard and chili combination. The bun was ugh, I guess it would be a split-top bun. Yes, split-top bun: buttered, grilled, held everything in nice. It was delicious. I’m going with a 9 on this dog, for overall on the whole thing… I just loved it. I thought it was great.» I said, «Alright, yeah, as Johnny said, we’re at Jordan’s. The place is pretty legit. I really like the atmosphere(first off). The store front is really an attractive little joint. It has about 8 or 9 tables. Great hospitality upon arrival. They were happy the Dawg Tour came down. We got the usual: the mustard, onion, sauce. I believe they are the 10 inch Hummels. John mentioned they were the split-top, cut right down the middle, then they put them on the griddle. I’ll tell you, they are fantastic and they’re not too greasy. So they really lock in the flavor. We did them with the mustard and onion and the onion was a little deceptive because it was large, large pieces. I think we both got a little nervous, but the onion was not overpowering and the mustard, while it looked nice(with a pattern), was my one gripe. Usually I am a spicy mustard fan, this was yellow, which is cool, but it was a little much for me. The bun was a beautiful masterpiece. That was a masterpiece, it really was and the flavors were perfect. This thing was toasted perfectly. You can tell, this place knows what they’re doing. So, if you are in the New Haven area, come down here, it’s on State Street(970), it’s really worth your time and for Jordan’s, I’m going with an 8.5. I enjoyed it and I recommend this place hands down.»
