Firedog Food Truck

Serving up some of the most satisfying burgers and dogs in the area, Fire Dog is a must-​stop spot for anyone lucky enough to find this cart at a local carnival or event.
Food trucks are popping up all over the New Haven area and for good reason, it is quickly becoming one of Connecticut’s major culinary capitals. While Fire Dog might not exactly fall into the gourmet ranks of the Caseus Cheese Truck, it is a more than adequate place to score some serious sandwiches.
While their hot dogs are great (I recommend the «Dream Dog») the pulled pork sandwich is the real draw here. Served on a generous, doughy Portuguese roll and smothered in a sweet but very savory barbecue sauce, this sandwich is both very large and very yummy. This sandwich alone is what makes me give the truck five stars, as it is my favorite pulled pork sandwich in the state.
