Beautiful, large park that should be treasured for basically being 5 min from the city center of New Haven.
The dog park, tennis courts, basketball courts, and skate park butt up right at the corner of Westville Village making for a convenient visit. There’s also a City Seed farmer’s market at that corner of it 8 months out of the year.
Take a stroll or jog around the other parts, and remember what it’s like to be outside of the car.

Beautiful park. Pond, ducks, picnic, dog walk, skate park. Trails and wild life. Walked my dog there hundreds of times. Sometimes gone in winter and walked the dog and we were the only ones in the ice and snow. Very nice.

This is a beautiful, large park that people in downtown New Haven or East Rock probably don’t know about. They have trails, ponds, tennis courts, a dog run, softball and soccer fields, playgrounds, basketball courts, bocce courts, and a ranger’s station.
I really like the tennis courts which are very well maintained and have excellent lighting seasonally.
