GOSOMEWHEREELSE!!! I had heard a few good things about the pizza here but both times I have been the pizza is awful(e.g. Missing ingredients, stale cheese) and the service is a joke. Do not trust them. They state one price on the menu and when you arrive seem to pluck a new price from the top of their head(which is always a lot more than the menu). I wish I hadn’t bothered giving them a second chance.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. they delivered me a pizza with the cheese and pepperoni slid off and in the box. When I called them to tell them they said well what do you want us to do? I asked them to send me another pizza the guy said well if the any of that pizza is eaten(which it wasn’t) then we’re keeping the other pizza. The owner then calls back 20 minutes later and says, actually were not sending a pizza the delivery guy said he saw you trip and its your fault. At this point I’m just like you know what, the pizza is untouched, I just want my money back. Owner says he would give me my money back if j came to the restaurant with the uneaten pizza. Went to the restaurant and the Owner refuses to give me my money back. Don’t spend your money here! Foods not that great anyway.

Ordered delivery and there’s barely even any cheese at all! Not to mention that the pizza took over 51+ minutes to get here! Would not recommend!

Honestly it takes way too long for what it is. Nothing special. Went there twice. Took over 40 mins both times. If you’re starving to go alpha delta or empire. Maybe it’s because they are so busy but it’s not worth it.

It was pretty decent but I could have used a little more flavor on my white pizza. I also got a vegi and meat pizza which was good. I ordered delivery and they come to west haven which was convenient and fast. Also open very late!

They say the pizza in Connecticut is top notch but unless you go to the underground joints, you’re buying into the same bullshit that rates the shit. This is the crispiest, freshest, most hand made pizza I’ve had in America. If your pizza sucks it’s because you suck. BOMB spot open late. Small town large give.

Brick oven pizza is a joke! I placed an order on 11/10/2015, the brick oven special and requested it without peppers, onions and mushrooms. The person who took my order stated 35 minutes. An hour passes so I decide to call them. I was informed that the driver would be here in one to two minutes. After waiting outside I receive a call from the driver who informs me that he is in the parking lot. I was standing in the parking lot and informed him that I was outside. He then states«I’m on my way» about 5 minutes later he finally pulls into the parking lot and hands me the pizza. Their website states you get a free 2 liter with purchases over $ 20. I inform him that I was also supposed to receive a two liter. He states that it was not given to him and proceeds to get in his car. I ask, you aren’t going to check into that. He looks at the receipt and says, it’s not on here. I finally talk him into calling, however, he decides to speak to them in Turkish. So I don’t know what was states in the conversation. I proceed to my apt to find that the pizza that I ordered is not what I received. I then call and inform them of this error at which point I was informed that the person I was speaking with was not the person I placed he order with. I was placed on hold and connected with the individual I placed my order with and was informed that I had not requested to have anything removed. Furthermore, I was informed that the 2 liter was free. I then asked why I didn’t receive the two liter, by which I was informed again, it was free. So I guess when things are free you don’t really get them. Their service absolutely sucks and their customer service is even worse! Don’t order from these people!!! Again, don’t order from these people!!!

Not your typical pizza place. quaint restaurant with great choices for pizza, but not the same old run of the mill pizza joint. Great toppings and a nicely crispy crust. Also had one of the salads and it was quite big enough to share with someone.

while the food is decent, this establishment has the WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICEEVER. after my food arriving nearly an hour late, cold and incorrect i was then sworn at by a man claiming to be the owner. He informed me i was«lucky to get anything» and then hung up on me. I wouldn’t order from this place if it was the last pizza joint on earth and neither will anyone I know.

I wish I still had a picture of the Margherita pie that my friends and I received a few weeks ago. We’re all from either New York or New Jersey so we were expecting a pizza with fresh tomato sauce and mozzarella, you know, what a margherita is supposed to be. Instead we got a pie that was just disgusting. It had mozzarella as the first layer with diced tomatoes on top? Is this a New Haven style margherita or something? Plus the pizza was burnt. It was about 3 am so we were stuck getting pizza from here. $ 23!!! 23 bucks for the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Never again.

Good pizza, bad business. The parking lot smells like drugs. Expect raccoons hiding in the wood. The shady owner behind the counter providing a «good deal» by making you twice the amount you asked for and demanding more money, albeit saving you a dollar. The same owner is overworked and thus the quality of his service and patience with customers is far from professional, as he has been known to pick fights with customers. Worse, he will stock you on Facebook using the name of your credit card, state creepy facts about you to your face, and then check you out on the way out. In all, the pizza is not worth the experience.

Review in a few word: While the battle for the best pizza may be the source of much debate, the debate over the worst pizza is not. Brick Oven Pizza is the worst pizza in New Haven. Review in full: So far as pizza is concerned, New Haven is a tough town to break into. With heavy-hitters like Sally’s and Pepe’s consistently making best-of lists nationally and other worthy competitors hot on their heels it would seem foolish to open up shop with anything less than an A-game. But hey, you don’t always need a life changing slice. Sometimes you just want some pizza. Unfortunately for Brick Oven Pizza they fail to even bring their D game. The pizza here is abysmal. I’ve dropped in here a few times but my experience was best encapsulated in my last visit. I walked in the door to find the owner smoking inside the restaurant on the couch. He quickly scurried outside… I was willing to look past this. I just wanted a slice, not perfection. They had one ancient plain pie sitting around and offered to reheat. Nothing could save that slice. The quality(or lack thereof) is not limited to one experience. The pizza is consistently bland with no flavor coming from the sauce or cheese and the crust can only be described as burnt, dirty cardboard. I wish that this was hyperbole. While Brick Oven Pizza is clearly not aiming for the upper echelon of New Haven Pizza they aren’t even phoning it in. I’ve given them a few shots and they have consistently served garbage. I rarely get to say this but your money is better spent at Papa John’s

In the grit of the New Haven pizza, the old school, back of the classroom Brick Oven Pizza get lost in the mess. It is actually quite quality and good large pizza for reasonable prices that a college student should strive for. As such, they won’t have the foot traffic of the nearby Alpha Delta or stores on Broadway, but if you make it a block further definitely grab a slice here at Brick Oven for those days that you just need a solid slice or pie.

I order pickup here on a regular basis because it’s very good and very consistent. The online special of a large cheese for $ 9.95 is a steal! The wings are mediocre but I keep ordering them anyway because I’m usually VERY hungry when I order from here. It’s a good representation of New Haven style pizza: the crust is thin and properly charred on the ends. Sometimes I throw some dried oregano on the cheese pizza but it’s solid by itself. I even it it cold the next morning for breakfasts sometimes, but it also reheats well in the oven. It would be hyperbolic to say this pizza is life-changing but it’s certainly one of the top 5 pizza spots in New Haven in my book. Online ordering is quick and reliable as well!

I’ve eyed this place for so long. What lured me in was their endless amounts of wood logs stacked in front, on the side and inside their place. I ordered a small pizza. Pretty thin thin thin crust pizza. Not too flavorful. The owner Kadir was a nice guy.

Open late, $ 2.50/slice, greasier than the Gulf of Mexico after a BP oil spill, and tasty. If you’re expecting more, then you obviously came to the wrong place. Pizza snobs can go hang out at Pepe’s, oh wait, its not open(ok, but seriously, Pepe’s is great, but what do you do at 11 am?). Service is good, crust was a bit too crisp and burned at the edges, but the actual crust under the cheese portions was great. Sometimes you just need something greasy to satiate your hunger.

We ordered for a second time from here, both times delivered. The pizza is ok, they do burn it though… I won’t order here again, this last time the delivery man was very rude to my fiancé saying we are too far away to be delivered. First do not take the order in the first place if it’s too far, second don’t be an asshole about it when you get here, moral of the story no tip and no more service.

Perfectly crisp thin crust, fresh topping with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. I love this place. You call. Show up 10 minutes later and your pizza is done. Probably a longer wait if you are ordering more than one.

Open 24 hours? Decent New Haven pizza? Colorful owners? Can’t beat it. Heaven at 2 am on a Saturday… One of my favorite cheap, late-night spots. Ultra thin pizza cooked in a wood-burning oven. Sometimes slightly doughy/undercooked, but never bad. To be clear, it’s not on par with any of of the major players in town, and it’s definitely not a destination restaurant, but it is the perfect place to satisfy a craving in a no-frills location. The fact that New Haven has a low-end place that’s this good shows just how spoiled we are here in the pizza belt!

This review is for delivery. We were staying at the New Haven Hotel and they recommended this spot for delivery. In 20 minutes, the delivery guy showed up at our door with a hot cheese pizza, perfectly blackened at the edges of the crust, with tasty fresh ingredients and nice seasoning. We loved it and couldn’t believe how cheap and fast it came. Especially when it’s raining, why wait in line for Frank Pepe’s when you can eat Brick Oven in bed?!
