I’ve been working out with my personal trainer from Active Wellness for about six months, and it has been fantastic! I’ve lost 30 pounds and I’m in better shape than I’ve ever been before. My trainer always makes sure that working out is fun, and comes up with new and different things we can do like hiking and going running at the beach. Through Active Wellness, I learned to lead a healthier lifestyle through both physical fitness and nutrition. Because of all the time and effort my trainer has put in to helping me, I feel confident about my ability to lose weight for the first time in my life. You can tell that at Active Wellness they genuinely care, and I’d recommend them to anyone looking to lose weight or get in shape.

I’ve been working with Drew and Christina for 6 months now and I’ve been so pleased to have them as my trainers. I attend bootcamp with them three times a week and at their recommendation do additional workouts 3 other days of the week(running, hiking, walking, swimming, weights/strength, etc.). I have seen such a change in my body– I’m leaner and stronger, I feel healthier, and I don’t get tired as easily. I’ve also noticed a change in my mental state– working out regularly has become part of my life and I feel better when I get a workout in. Drew and Christina are supportive, they have you set goals and then check in with you regularly to learn how you’re doing with the goals, how they can help, and whether the goals need to get harder or easier for you. They are totally non-judgmental, the studio is a safe space, and they bring smiles to every workout. Plus, the people who work with them are pleasant, interesting people, so even the conversation before and after the workouts is fun. I am so glad I braved one more bootcamp class after having tried a few duds at other studios. Drew and Christina do it right– I work harder and smarter with them than I ever have with other trainers. They take a personalized approach and are always there to recommend variations on movements to accommodate injuries or help you become familiar with the right form for a move. Christina and Drew are also very focused on balanced workouts, so unlike other bootcamps that put the majority of their emphasis on cardio or kickboxing, Drew and Christina carefully script workouts to include cardio, strength, isometric movements, explosive movements(jumping, etc.), flexibility, and balance. The regularly record your progress in each domain so that you can see yourself improving on measures other than your at-home scale. With their help, I’ve already lost more than 10 lbs, have significantly increased my strength, and feel more comfortable with complex workouts and strength training. I haven’t had a single bad experience in the last 6 months, and I can’t recommend them more strongly. You won’t regret joining!

Training with Active Wellness has changed how I feel about fitness! Christina and Drew make working out FUN and effective. They keep the bootcamp workouts motivating, challenging and interesting. I’m in the best shape of my life and have developed a strength I never thought I was capable of. I even ran my first 5K and 10K with the help of Christina. I can not recommend them enough — try Active Wellness, you won’t regret it!

I couldn’t agree more with the other comments. Christina listens and adapts training routines for each of her clients and is flexible while still being strongly goal oriented. Without her, I wouldn’t have lost 10 pounds in 10 weeks and felt fitter than I have in 10 years. Just go and sign up! Best decision I made in a while!
