My favorite place to hang out in new haven. Service is great, food is bomb, and can’t beat their prices. Always a good time for all age groups

Waitress stole my wallet I’ll never return to this place again. Sad to because the food is good. But it’s employees are thieves. I will never be back!

Warm beer. Had a Samuel Adams draught was warm. Had a 469 sampler platter it was burnt. Would not recommend

This review is for the Garno’s Ham & Cheese grinder only. I wish the original Garno’s on Parnell still existed, because I hate the ugly, hole-in-the-wall location in New Haven. I guess they focus more on the«469 Sports n Spirts» bar part than anything else. But the grinders are still amazing — still perfectly crisped outside and doughy inside. Still gooey yummy. I hate stepping inside of this place – let me rephrase: i ABHOR the trashiness, the nasty truck-stop feel to it. But the ham n cheese grinder wrapped in foil as a to-go option in New Haven is worth shading your eyes to get. I know Mancino’s has good alternatives(and a cleaner, friendlier location), but there is something about Garno’s that keeps me coming back every time i’m in town. I’m salivating just thinking about it.
