I’ve been here twice now and both times the food was inedible and the service was lacking. The first time was a month or two after they opened and started serving from the full kitchen menu. We had a reservation and they said it was busier than usual and sat us in the bar, which was fine, but the poor bartender was overwhelmed(not her fault, she was very gracious) and the food(french dip) was just gross to put it plainly. I didn’t write a review then because they were new and I love the location and wanted them to make it. I tried them again last month for lunch and ordered chicken wings and they weren’t fully cooked, they were so bad tasting-how does a pub mess up chicken wings? They only had the bartender taking orders, no waitstaff. I don’t plan to return, as sad as that makes me. They need to hire more professionals in the kitchen and spend the money to have a waiter on staff during open hours. Many friends have had the same experience, all of whom are local and want to have a new place to eat in town. Please, pull it together, invest in your food and staff and create the place we all want to eat at.

I have been to this restaurant several times, and the food beer menu are great. However, wait time can be an issue, it seems as though their front of house is disorganized. Hopefully, this is just growing pains of being a new restaurant because the spot is really cool. New Hartford has needed a place like this for quite awhile.

Just in for my third visit over the past several months so this review is a combination of my 3 experiences. I have been holding off writing this as I was really hoping they would get it together and work out the kinks as the place clearly has tremendous potential. Unfortunately it’s still below average so my third visit was likely my last. The space is great — a little challenging to locate the first time but that’s not a big deal in the days of GPS. The main entrance has been open for several months now so it certainly easier to get in and out. 2 bars and the tap room is especially inviting. Plenty of dining space and just a cool overall vibe. Now for the bad news. First, service is lacking. Clearly an attitude and management issue. Everyone seems to be limping through their shifts moving at a snails pace and somewhat put off by having to deal with people. Interesting concept in the service industry. Second — the craft beer. Great concept and as an enthusiast I am in. The trick is actually having the beer you advertise and not having a beer list with half of the selections crossed off. This is every time. The selection looks great on paper but in reality is poor. Very few options and either the system pressure is off or the lines not properly cleaned resulting in low quality pours(overly carbonated). If you advertise as a craft beer joint, take pride in it knowing people will show up for that reason. Lastly — the food. Just not good. I’ve tried the burgers, chicken wrap, pastrami, steak sandwhich, some apps and it’s all unremarkable. No flavor, no zing, no excitement, no nothing — just very basic food. Place isn’t cheap which isn’t a big deal if the quality is there, but it’s not(dinner for 2 — blackstrap burger, chicken wrap and 2 beers each was $ 56 including tax and tip). I have been rooting for this place but it’s just not coming together — hopefully it changes for the better but I won’t be back without hearing it has.

Pretty nice place to stop by for a drink. Stopped with husband for a beer. They have a lot of local brewery beers and let us taste — that was awesome. Had a few appetizers I had fried calamari. It was very tasty, I love the sauce too. Not an over flowing dish but what was in there was good for the palette. Husband had wings — he thought they were great. I didn’t eat anything else so I can’t rate it a five star — wouldn’t be fair. Anyway, it’s worth stopping by for a drink. If you see Omar he’s really nice bar tender!

Great draft selection. I ordered the fried pickles; in my opinion, the chipotle aioli was a little too spicy and over powering, but the pickles were delicious alone. Six dill spears, breaded and perfectly crispy. The bartender Donna was very pleasant and helpful and the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable.

Sorry to say my third visit to Parrot Delaney’s was even more of a let down. It mostly like will be the last time I order food there. It was snowing out so not crowded at all. We Ordered calamari, wings, beer & glass of wine . Calamari was mostly over breaded, soggy peppers with ¼ of my order actually being soggy and over breaded, over cooked calamari which consisted of tiny pieces of squid. What a disappointment. Wings were skimpy and covered with a greasy cheese like substance. The food is over priced for the portion & especially the quality of the food. We left there ordered takeout from the Saybrook Fish house.

Unexpected and in the middle of no where. This was the original Ovation guitar factory where guitars were made right here for over half a century! Beautiful historical brick building repurposed. Great concept w the dining hall, exposed brick, hardwood, high ceilings & warm chilled vibe. Multiple rooms for dining, football, cocktails, or listening to live music. Great for groups. Both resturant & pub. Weekly menu theme specials, brunch, Sunday football, Bloody Mary Sunday’s. The web site offers an entertainment schedule & rotating craft beer menu. They serve a variety of local & national craft beers with a good selection but many had run out late on a busy Saturday night. Friendly bartenders. They also support charitable causes. If your even slightly less than local & dig live music– come check them out! Read up:

Beautiful restaurant. The food is off the charts overpriced for the quality — which is fair and the portions which are small. The staff didn’t acknowledge us when we arrived. Service was nonexistent. Had to ask multiple times for everything. Only a few other patrons there… no excuse. What a let down.

The Parrott Delaney Tavern is very functional as a community space. It’s atmosphere is a little something for everyone in town. I couldn’t be happier to see something bringing the adults of New Hartford together that isn’t Chatterley’s. The live music is awesome! The reason I give it four stars is because the food is pretty good – but not worth the price. I guess the atmosphere is what you’re paying for, but I find it hard to believe that this space in the back of an old factory is thaaaat high on rent. There are pretty mixed reviews on here’s so I’m trying to be fair, but being honest I wouldn’t spend this on food of this quality if I was eating in NYC. Luckily, the other restaurants in town aren’t much to compete with. Bottom line: if they knock a couple bucks off the entrées, coupled with the awesome beer selection, we’re looking at a pretty awesome new spot in New Hartford!

My husband and I visited here a week ago on a Sunday for lunch and it was A+ for service and food. They did a nice job on the interior and the atmosphere was worth coming back for. We decided to take our son the following Sat. night since he just returned home from college for holiday break. We had a resy for dinner since we were told it can get busy with the band in house. We arrived early but went to the bar for a pre-dinner drink but notified the hostess we were there. The bar received A+ rating for service and drinks. About 15 minutes before our reservation, we were told by the hostess our table was ready. We brought our drinks to the table and was greeted promptly by our waitress. This was the ONLY time anything was prompt. While we had high expectations from our prior experience, this review is downhill from here. After our order was placed we waited 35 minutes before inquiring about our appetizer and bread(which the menu states comes with our meal selection. Also, we received a bread basket the Sun. before at lunch). We were informed the bread comes with the meal and that the kitchen was backed up with the appetizer. At this point, we had still not received our water which was parked 6 feet away from the table at the server station. I told my husband and son I would get the water but they wouldn’t allow me to do so. I could see that the servers were overburdened with customers so we gave the waitress a break and didn’t complain. Finally, we received our calamari appetizer but had to again ask for the bread. At this point the bread became a joke at our table and we were making bets which would come first… the bread or the entrée. Keep in mind we were getting our bar drinks on time and in order. Finally our meal arrived(before the bread and we had to ask again for it). I ordered the steak special(which I was wondering how it would be prepared since my server never asked how to cook it). It arrived cooked medium, which I was good with, but it was sliced ahead of time and the blood was pooling around the mashed squash; which was a bit disturbing. I had no butter for my baked potato and was told there was no sour cream. My husband and son ordered the Shepard’s pie which had no complaints. The portions were good and plentiful. When all was done, we were hoping for dessert but was told they didn’t have any. Our assessment for the night was that they were understaffed for the waitress and kitchen help. I’m not expecting many people to read down to the end of this critique but am hoping someone at Parrott Delaney will and understand we were hoping for better. Such a promising start to a dreadful end.

First and probably last visit. They sat a party of four at a table meant for two. Waited for drinks. Our salads arrived and 2 seconds later our dinners arrived. Meals were ok. Outside stairway was very dark(no lighting) and wet after a rain. I would not want to have to use them in the winter.

I went to the tavern about a month ago after a friend of ours said they have a great beer selection, and my husband and I are big beer advocates. After being seated, my family and I sat there for almost a half hour and was not even acknowledged. After we got up and proceeded to walk out, the owner stood there and didn’t even care that we were leaving. A manager then chased us and we told her what happened and she did nothing. They let us walk out the door. The interior of the tavern is lovely. But the bar is awkward. There’s a TV playing that you can barely see because of the glare, also no music. I am extremely disappointed with this place, and the service. My family and I won’t be Back and wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. If I could, I would give it zero stars because of how rude the staff and owner were.

Our first impression walking in was very positive. That stayed with us through out our meal. This is s gem. We ordered some basic apps. Some mango/chili sauced chicken wings. Surprisingly very good and we split a Philly Cheese that was also very good. Their beer selection is extensive. First time I tried a Nitro draught beer. This was an IPA that was really smooth and flavorful. The Guinness is perfect! All in all, this place is great! I’m coming back. Second and third time back with the same, excellent results. Their craft beer list changes frequently. Enough so that I can try a different craft beer every time I have a meal here. Something I really have fun with. The meals were all different from what was ordered during previous visits. Every entrée was as great as the last! I love the location, atmosphere and their waitstaff. It’s a great place to just relax, enjoy a very good meal and walk away satisfied.

Decided to try the new place around and boy was I not disappointed. The selection of local/craft brews is phenomenal. Ordered the calamari for an appetizer. delicious, not greasy and not overcooked as most places tend to do. I had the pot pie as well as sampled a few craft brews. The pot pie had a wonderful flaky crust that just made it perfect for a nice cool summer evening. The staff was extremely helpful and outgoing. I will be coming back for sure! Keep up the good work guys!

They served rotten, as in gone bad, «pastrami»(loosely used, as even if it were not spoiled, it would not have been very good pastrami) in my Pastrami Rueben. White wine was warm. Service was very good. Although, I must say after you’ve served spoiled food to someone it seems like you should do a little more than take the sandwich off the tab. Wouldn’t you think that a manager should have come to the table? Not much here worth eating… sandwiches, burgers, that’s about it. You’d also think that with that limited menu, they would really make sure that they were not serving spoiled food. Don’t waste your time or your money. The Ruben was $ 15. Yuck.

Limited menu. Really awful food. Mediocre service. Hard to find because of lack of signage. Can’t help but wonder why this place doesn’t have a website and why they don’t have live music on the weekend??? Great potential but totally mismanaged. D ont waste your time trying to find this place.

Kitchen now providing a partial menu of salads; sandwiches and pub favorites. Should be in full operation shortly. Great draft beer selection.
