Almost gave this place a one star, but to be honest I did not see any bugs or visible signs of mold. The front desk attendant was friendly. Rooms felt incredibly sticky, as they air condition the rooms but not the rest of the hotel. I imagine there’s a lot of mold there, but as I said before, it was not visible. Very dated and uncomfortable. Stayed for one night with two dogs. I understand the cost of modernizing all of the rooms, but a lot could be done with temperature control, air flow and a deep cleaning. Hotel offered free WiFi, and the password was provided. When I went to connect my phone to WiFi, no password was required. Suspicious and insecure.

If dirty, disgusting and unsanitary conditions are what you’re looking for, this is the place for you. Don’t bother hanging a «Do Not Disturb» sign on your door because the staff will come in anyway and use the excuse of needing to drop off fresh towels, when in fact they are turning off the air conditioner wall unit and also turning off the TV. If lack of privacy or voyeurism is your thing, this is definitely the place for you! As a courtesy they use mismatched door jams that allow other guests passing by can look in your room due to the ill fitting door. If you don’t mind filth then is place is right up your alley! Urine stained mattresses that are sunk in the middle, pillows had matching stains including blood(I hope it was a nose bleed and nothing worse), the bathroom had dried urine behind the toilet, dried what I can only assume is vomit under the sink, rusted tub trimmed with mold. Oh, you’ll just love the thin, faded old towels, they exfoliate your body fabulously! If all this doesn’t quite entice you enough, let me add this as a bonus, crappy furniture that is falling apart and bowing in the middle as it supports the massive tube TV in your room with only one volume. All this can be yours for a fee of $ 86 a night! Right? What a bargain! Wait there’s more! For FREE you can get chastised by the owner/manager. If you plan to book this for a wedding party DON’T, gathering, talking or having fun of any kind is highly frond upon, even if it’s in the breakfast room away from other guests. All in all, if you want unsanitary conditions and crappy service this is the place for you! Look no further! Oh, I almost forgot! This place requires payment in full before you get a room key! I have never had that happen before, maybe this is a cover for the brothel out back. I just don’t get the charging of the room before you complete the check in. I hate to say it but, as big a hassle it is, I canceled my card so that this unscrupulous owner/manager couldn’t tack on extra charges to my card. FYI, we would never have stayed here if we had other options. We were in town because of a wedding and with it being Octoberfest there wasn’t a place in a 25 mile radius, yeah we checked. So, in closing if all this sounds good to you, please call and reserve your room at this dirty dive! The patchouli laced urine smell is always complimentary here.

I don’t understand how any could possibly give this place a good review. This hotel and the rooms are so dilapidated and questionable to say the least. I have stayed in hotels that cost less and are in better condition than this place. Staff? What staff? There is only the owner and his wife. I believe that in order to save money on their end, they have started to let things go in the hotel. We had to walk through saturated floors to get to our room. The room itself was falling apart. Even the towels were worn out and thin. The wallpaper in our rooms was peeling and the bathroom had mold and it looked like the ceiling was about to come down from water leakage. Our«designer» draperies were falling apart on the window side and the sun poked in through the holes. You could see through our room doors. How creepy is that? The furniture was completely falling apart in some of our rooms and there is a serious lack of outlets to charge and use your stuff. Our beds were not at all comfortable. some mattresses even had pee stains all over it. The pillows were old and flat and my box spring was being held together by a thread. This hotel has gone to pot. I would have happily paid $ 50 for a one night stop through here. Unfortunately, we had to spend almost three days here. $ 86 a night was a huge rip off. We have taken pictures but I have no idea how to post them. You would have to see them to believe it. Buyers beware! Their vending machine had zero items for purchase. The soda machine had an out of order sign on it that looked like it had been there forever. The water here smells like rotten eggs. If cozying up to spiders and roaches while watching an ancient TV, then this is the place for you. The owners are nice enough and just smile and apologize when you mention a problem. They really do not care. They just want your money. Wedding parties beware. You will be charged more than what they quote you. I was so disappointed with this hotel as well as grossed out. If you want a clean, cheap, simple room — this is your best bet for 20 miles. It’s a bit quaint, but they still have free wifi, and the beds are pretty dang comfy. Cute little continental breakfast in a nice sun room, too.

Great stop off I-70 with amazing staff & nice lodging. Located between St Louis & Columbia by 4 nice wineries. Rooms have everything you need & theres a nice garden patio area the owners keep beautiful.
