I had the pleasure of working at this summer camp for nearly a decade. As a certified educator working in the public schools I can attest that Camp Birch Hill is an excellent opportunity for students to increase their social skills, learn how to collaborate, and most importantly, have FUN! So much emphasis and pressure has been placed on students today. To get into college it seems like you need to be taking ten AP classes and be part of 15 after-school activities. Camp Birch Hill gives students the opportunity to unwind and become themselves. The biggest differences I find between Camp Birch Hill and other camps are that campers make their own schedules and counselors don’t yell(except for safety concerns as «Safety Never Takes A Vacation»)! I have many friends that work and run other summer camps in New England and I have heard many stories of counselors yelling at kids for no reason other then a power trip. You won’t find this at Birch Hill. You can’t go wrong!
