The Castle Inn

I truly experienced a lot of fun right here with my buddies. The Fortress Inn using their appealing meals outstanding! Additionally its atmosphere along with a really pleasant employees. An ideal spot to relax.

Terrible service. Was there today during the new city Octoberfest/​street fair. tried ordering a Reuben and was told they were all out. Then continued to order a chicken wrap, French onion soup, kids chicken fingers and a turkey club. food took forever. Soup came out after waiting 35 minutes. Asked the waitress if the rest of the food was coming out soon keeping in mind me were not only hungry but had a small child with us. She said it should be soon, I said we’ve been waiting a very long time. She said she knew. 10 minutes later the food is brought out by a manager and someone else who might have also been management. No apology, no nothing. Seriously? 45 minutes for a wrap, 3 chicken tenders and a COLD turkey club? We won’t be back

6 of us came here at 8 on a weeknight. No other customers were in the dining room.
I ordered chicken wings (sauce on the side). When they were served, there were only midsections and there were no drumette sections of the wings. see picture). That was weird. Also cheap.
They’re only about six or seven entrées on the menu besides sandwiches salads and burgers. I asked the server if the beef stew was good and he smiled and said it was delicious, so I ordered it over noodles.
He returned to the table a few minutes later with the menu and apparently embarrassed because they were out of the beef stew. I ordered the Shepherd’s pie instead. This was very good but the sauce was a little sweet. I really like the mashed potato crust. That was the best part.
My wife had the chili and she thought it was very salty. The other couple we were with had fish and chips and they liked it. One person at the table had the signature salad. The salad exceeded her expectations. She liked that it was full of cranberries and nuts.
The bartender who served us was outstanding. He had a great attitude and was very friendly. The woman who brought the dishes to the table was also very friendly.
While there were positives, I felt the negatives overshadowed them. I don’t think we will return anytime soon. It wasn’t an exceptional experience. We were disappointed.

Been here twice and it’s a nice cozy place with welcoming staff. Food is fine and nice atmosphere.

We had the castle app lots of variety. Fish And chips were fresh and hot The owner is lovely We sat outside which is so pretty and he’s adding a rock water fountain across from fireplace

Friendly staff. Shepherd’s pie and steak were very good. Nice atmosphere and quiet as well. A gem of a place.

Great drink specials this summer. $ 4 all summer long for mixed, beer and wine. Plus the burgers are awesome! Perfect place e to watch the game. Plenty of large TVs around the bar.

Stopped by for a quick beer. Ended up trying some chili and it was great. The bartender, Anita is welcoming and very friendly. Will definitely stop by again when in the area…

Used to really enjoy this place. Seems they changed chefs and the food quality dropped. Outside patio is nice, staff is friendly.

After having met friends for drinks and a bite I visited again only to discover a beautiful back patio. It was very pleasant to sit out back and enjoy a Honkers Ale and some chili. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive.
Since I wrote the last paragraph I have become a «regular»…Tony, the chef is super, very friendly, and has said if it’s not on the menu, he will make it! Just ask! :-)

Sat at the bar for a few drinks with my buddies. Bartender was incredibly nice and attentive. Also very talkative but didn’t overstay his welcome. Others at the bar were also pleasant to be around. It’s a bit of an older crowd (30s, sorry I’m in my 20s) but it didn’t feel like I was out of place. I will definitely be back– I felt welcome at this «neighborhood-​style» bar where service and cleanliness still mean something!

Great place, waiters needs to be a bit more attentive to tables
