Small intimate restaurant– with personable service. Good food. All four diners enjoyed their meal. One ordered steak rare and it came medium well. He sent it back(something I’ve never done). They happily and fairly quickly replaced it with a properly cooked rare steak. I got the xtra size rack of ribs which compares with most rib places full rack size. If you like ‘fall off the bone’ ribs, this is a good place to go. While I prefer ‘not’ fall off, these were tasty. I’ll rate them as 8⁄10 which takes into account location. I’ve been to Texas and the Carolinas, and even a few places in NYC where Ribs are the signature plate, so it’s tough to compete in the ribs category. Dessert was good– I had the Chocolate Lava Cake that came with a little ice cream. The cake was perfectly sweetened(Not too much) which was a great compliment to the sweet ice cream and chocolate drizzle. Finally, I had unsweetened iced tea–(not hard to do right but so many restaurants get it wrong — probably ’cause they don’t sell enough and it gets stale) — it was excellent. I am very pleased with this place and recommend it, with this note: try to think in advance to make a reservation because it is small(I’d guess about 15 tables). We had reservations for Sunday at 6 and were seated right away.

Lived in the area for 10 years and never came. Now it’s my 3rd time and my son insists on celebrating his 18th birthday here. Food is consistently great, not good. It takes simple dishes with super fresh wonderful ingredients and they’re made with love. I’ve had chicken marsala 100 times, but here it’s made with care and attention to detail. Makes all the difference in the world, and the seafood is really fresh and satisfying. Just try it, you’ll be glad you did.

I ordered the Penne alla Vodka for lunch and it was absolutely fantastic! The sauce was one of the best sauces I’ve had in a long time. I really enjoyed their calamari too. They don’t have an online menu, but I called they were very helpful and friendly. Definitely will be going back here!

Nothing special and the service sucks. Don’t bother, plenty of other much more worthwhile options in the area.

This place is a hidden gem. It is a tiny cozy spot in New City that serves great Italian food. My family and I come here a few times a year and are never disappointed. They also have a decent wine selection, so if you are in to that you will not be disappointed. In the winter, whenever someone enters the whole place freezes up, which is the only downside of having a tiny place. Either way, you have to try it.

I have eaten here a few times each year since opening Was very god food. Nice feeling etc. small an local which is why it hurts to write this review. Food was lackluster last night with a teeny portion. Had shrimp parm. Teeny 5 shrimp covered in 2 thirds batter. Over tiny ziti. Almost embarrassing portion so thats why 1 less star. The other star off was for the terrible service. Upgrade waitress services and revisit their dishes and only then will I update my review. In the past it was better and I hope the next time I go will not be the last for my local bite

Like others I have lived in the area most of my life and eat out often but never went to Alfredo’s.But thanks to the«coupon» decided to go. Well the food was awesome and the family style salad was really good. The service was great(Gina)and the place has a cozy feeling. Speaking of that the place is SMALL. I think around ten tables. I would even suggest calling during the week. Been back several times and lovin it Rick

This is the BEST Italian restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life! Where do I start? The amazing bread with olive oil(I don’t know what they do to make it taste so amazing… but it is distinctively better tasting than any other Italian restaurant)… the gigantic complimentary salad… or the perfectly made Eggplant park that I always order? The service is also fast, and the staff are very friendly. This is a hidden treasure… it is a small restaurant, but boy do I wish they had one of these closer to where I live! Every time I visit this area, I beg to go to Alfredo’s.

What a pleasant surprise! Very fresh mixed green salad and house dressing served family-style. The chicken Francese was perhaps the best we have ever had. Service was great. Nice beautiful streetscape renovation on Main Street adds to the café ambience.

I have been to Alfredo’s a few times. I felt it was«okay» in the past. However, the other evening 5 of us were there for a birthday celebration. We arrived for a 6:30 reservation and, while we were seated immediately nobody seemed to notice us, and it took forever until our waitperson even asked us about drinks… When our food finally arrived, two of the meals were cold and part of another one was cold. We were disappointed since this was a birthday. The food tasted good, but considering how long it took to get it, and the fact that it was cold, we were pretty disappointed.

IT’S EASYTOMISSBUTDON’T! I have lived in New City forever but somehow I have never eaten at Alfredo’s. A friend suggested it for girls’ night out and it didn’t disappoint. Okay so it is in a strip mall on a busy street that is always under construction but is Raos in Harlem in a beautiful location? I think not! Once inside though, we were treated to great crusty bread, delicious family style salad, tasty well priced food, many choices and patient wait staff. It’s a winner!

This place blew my mind! The quality of the food here was crazy good and it was super cheap… I couldn’t believe it! We had the chicken alfredo, veal oscar, sausage with vodka sauce, the frachise trio, and the tilapia franchise. All were sinfully good… as we all sampled off each other’s plates. I didn’t give it a five star for two reasons… even though the food should be six stars!!! 1. We dined al fresco… surrounded by strip malls(it is New City after all) on a main road that is riddled with construction projects, pot holes, and orange barrels. However the construction chic ambiance paired with my glass of chianti and excellent food, made for a very surreal dining experience. 2. They also need more staff. Our waitress was very nice but they were definitely short staffed. So don’t expect to get in and out quick. Be patient though as it is definitely worth the wait! Can’t wait to come back… but with friends… not good for a date

It wasn’t truly an italian place, it wasn’t really bar food. This place could not decide what it wanted to be and the food reflected this. The nachos were good and plentiful, the chicken parm was very average.

I really hate to give this a great review, because it’s a small place and we want to be able to visit any time we want and not have to contend with a crowd. This is very selfish, but I have to admit that I’ve been there many times with various groups of friends and as a couple and have never had a problem. The service is just fine — they don’t rush you but seem to be there when they’re needed. The selection varies from Italian to ribs and are all delicious! The bread served with the olive oil is bottomless and delicious! Who classified this as mexican? That’s also good food, but you won’t get anything mexican style here!

first off, this is not a mexican place, so however that misinformation got here is just plain wrong. secondly, it’s mainly italian, with great f’n ribs! a tiny place thats very difficult to find, but well worth it. all 3 members of our party went away extremely satisfied and will all be back again. they even have a different twist on the dipping oil for their bread, very nice! do yourself a favor and try this great«mexican» joint!
