Today I’m reviewing an 8 piece meal purchased at noon on a Saturday. If Unilocal had sad faces instead of stars, this place would get 5 sad faces. Alas, I’m only working with stars here, so it gets 1 star for their delicious sweet rolls. Every piece of chicken was dried out and old, the mashed potatoes tasted terrible, and the cole slaw was abysmal as well. We paid $ 13.99 for a very disappointing lunch. I really wanted to like this place, as I’d rather visit a small local business than a chain like KFC or Popeyes, but this establishment falls dramatically short. Fingers crossed I don’t get diarrhea.

Sometimes fried chicken & coleslaw is exactly what hits the spot! That was what we needed tonight, so:
Fried chicken — yummm. Crispy skin, not greasy at all. I don’t like my chicken spicy, so this was perfect for me.
Coleslaw — totally reminds me of KFC, in a really good way, the cabbage & carrot shreds are just bigger
Collard Greens — meaty, a little spicy, good!
Mac & Cheese — like a kid’s fave, velveeta-​y cheesy & squishy soft
Rolls — not as squishy as I’d prefer, a little on the sweet side, in a good way
Banana Pudding — nilla wafers softened to a comfort foody cake-​y consistency & banana flavored pudding. Yummy!
There’s no place to sit here, but everything is ready to go as soon as you walk in & order, so picking up dinner here is fast & easy. Next time I’d try the corn fritters, and peach cobbler or sweet potato pie too :).

We have seen this seemingly deceiving New York chicken sign along the roadway in Delaware for years and have always wondered about this spot.
We finally took a chance and were very happy we did. The afghan owned establishment is cooking up some mean chicken. It took a while for our 15 piece meal but it was definitely worth the wait knowing our meal was made fresh to order. The chicken skin is crazy crispy and the chicken meat is moist. The fried chicken is seasoned well and tastes great with hot sauce. We also got the fried which were battered and so crispy and tasty as well. Throw in some sweet and crisp corn nuggets and you have yourself a damn good meal.
Stop by this joint for legit fried chicken folks!

Greasy, amazing fried foods — including burgers and other non fried items. Just the thing you need sometimes when you have that craving for fried chicken, or mini sweet potato pies, onion rings or their AMAZING CORN BITES! A definite recommendation!
