Great place to go for a late meal. The crowd was diverse(college kids/bikers/business men/more). Food was delicious and our beers were constantly refreshed. I had the reuben sandwich that was thicker than most and had amazingly flavorful sweet potato fries on the side. Ask for the sweet cinnamon butter for the fries. It rocks!

Good shepherds pie and sweet potato fries. Daily specials and happy hour too. Don’t come here expecting to count calories though!

Lanigan’s rocks! great beer selection wonderful atmosphere and very good food! I’ve been there many times(because I live in the neighborhood) and I’ve Never been disappointed. If you stop in you gotta try the lanigan’s sandwich it’s a little bit pricey but you won’t regret it!

Great food, atmosphere, and friendly servers. I haven’t had anything here that I didn’t like, but the Reuben and Shepherd’s Pie are my favorites.

Three men walk into a bar: a Frenchman, an Italian and an Irishman. Each orders one beer. Three flys fly into the bar and one fly lands in each man’s beer. The Italian man plucks the fly out of his beer, says«tutto e bene»(all is well)” and drinks the beer. The Frenchman shows his beer with the bug still inside it to the bartender and demands another beer. The Irishman yanks the bug out of the beer, grabs it by its wings, shakes it while yelling«Cough it up, you wee theivin’ bastard!» I couldn’t resist beginning this review of this great Irish Pub with an Irish joke. It’s amazing how many of them involve alcohol. Maybe that’s why a visit to a great Irish pub is so enjoyable. I stopped in here on a Thursday afternoon and first impressions were excellent. Everywhere you look is beautifully finished wood. The bar is gorgeous! The bartender greeted me quickly and gave me a menu and beer list. The beer list is not huge but the selections are well thought out. Between the bottles and the drafts there is something for everybody. Of course you can choose a Guinness or a fine craft IPA. If you have the IQ of a golf ball you can have a Bud Light! BTW– My bartender/server was great the entire visit with excellent customer service. I decided to order the Shepard’s pie($ 10.99) and I’m glad I did. The beef and vegetables were in excellent savory gravy and the mashed potatoes were fresh and flavorful. The portion size was just fine. It should be noted that the menu has both American and Irish fare. If I was craving a burger that would have been no problem. At this point I could have departed but I was having a great time chatting with some locals. As I enjoyed another adult libation or two I decided to try their fresh cut fries. I’m a sucker for them because when done right, they are worlds better than that junk you get from a frozen bag. These were done right and perfectly cooked. These folks get my highest compliment and that is I wish they were in my hometown!

Lanigan’s is a beautifully decorated Irish pub in downtown New Castle. Its menu is full of Irish specialties including Boxtys, Shepherd Pie and Pot Pies as well as other«pub» items such as burgers and sandwiches. The wait staff does its best to serve the customers but is poorly managed as is the case for the kitchen. We waited forever for our appetizers(almost 40 minutes) and then a longer time for our entrees. It almost seems like nobody is in charge. it’s a cute restaurant but frustrating to visit.

This is one of my favorite places to hang out with friends. They have a wide selection of brew on tap and good food to go with it. I highly recommend their sweet potato fries, mainly because you get an incredible whipped cinnamon butter. My wife actually craves this appetizer and I am happy to help her devour them. I normally get a burger here and they are large and have pretty good flavor. The décor is cool with lots of wood and dart boards on the wall. I have never had bad service and always leave full. Recommend.

I love Lanigan’s! My favorites are the Reuben with sweet potato fries and garlic mayo, and«The Lanigan» which is shaved prime rib on thick rye bread with mozzarella cheeze, onions, and mushrooms– sooo good! They also have great wings, you should try their«strawberry hot» flavor, it’s really different and delicious. Wings are 35 cents each on Mondays and Thursdays and they have $ 1 drafts that change from time to time. Always delicious! :-)
