IHOP

Caught a cool brunch with friends before this storm hit. Located in New Carrollton, it’s a smaller spot than most IHOP.
Service: We had a cool waiter but I think he was overwhelmed helping us.(We were a group of 10) He took all the orders and forgot items, confused one meal and took madddddd long to come back to the table. He was working two sides of the resturant. No one helped him bring out the meals but after the 6^th time reminding him about items he forgot, a manager helped him bring out two hot cocoas.
Food: No bad but not off the chain. Presentation looked like they rushed although it took 30 minutes.
Overall it’s a ok run thru spot. From the looks at other reviews it is consistent in operation!

I would have gave them 4 Stars but there person who take the take out orders once you get there they take so long to see you so you can pay but anyways i order to go the lady who took my order over the phone was very polite and repeated my order just to make sure it was right At the time there where serving the red velvet pancakes which are delicious i mean they dont need syrup just add butter and there perfect with the cream cheese sauce my Boyfriend ordered The fajita chicken omelette which he said was also very good if you do go here make sure your not in a rush with the take out service. Note if they would make sure that someone is always at that post it would makes big difference

This was my 3^rd time coming to this ihop in the past 4yrs. We were greeted and seated fast but the experience after that just went down hill. Food was horrible! That part that makes it bad is that I asked for French fries and they clam they didn’t have any because they haven’t received a truck delivery, funny part is I somehow ended up with French fries lol. Tea was bad, lemonade was a first ticket to the ER with high sugar count. Long story is DONT COME HERE

One of the worst services I’ve had in my life! First of all when we were seated it took someone 5 minutes just to ask us for our drink order, then we we did receive our drinks it took another 30 minutes for anyone to even ask if someone had taken care of us which was obvious that no one had spoken to us since we still had the menus. Then once we were taken care of, by someone who wasn’t waiting in our section might I add, we waited an hour for food that never came, the manager even came over and said that the kitchen was backed up which was a lie as there were people who had come in after us getting there food right away. Long story short dont come here unless you expect crappy service for mediocre food.

I like this ihop it’s my favorite they have great customer service. I enjoy the meals I have here with my family.

I whipped my head around so fast, I could have given myself whiplash. Unfortunately, for me, the basketball player was not, in fact, waiting to be seated at this establishment.
It seems that this location simplifies the reservation process while providing some privacy for its patrons by assigning people random party reservation names. My party was assigned «Spongebob» and the group after us were under the name «Michael Jordan.»
Compared to other IHOPs in the area, my party’s wait time was relatively short. Once, seated, however, we were seemingly forgotten about. Oddly enough, random staffers kept asking if we wanted something to drink but were unable to take our food order.
Finally, our assigned waitress came and we rattled off a customized order. I wanted to try the buttermilk pancakes with chocolate chips in them, but I didn’t want both pancakes to have chocolate chips in case I didn’t like it. The waitress said she had to check to see if that was possible. Luckily, it was.
As for the food itself, it tasted okay. Nothing was particularly outstanding about it.
While I thought the place could look a little cleaner, my dining companion didn’t share my opinion.
Overall? This is not one of the places you go for the food. This is a place you go either just after church or late at night with large group of people.

OMG tried this location again, against my better judgement. My child wanted chocolate milk… none. She wanted the pancakes with bananas on top, I wanted bananas foster… no bananas. I wanted the cherry pepsi on the menu… none. I wanted sweetened ice tea… none. No butter. I was surprised that they had pancakes, sheesh. Oh yeah, silverware… none. Had to get up and swipe some from another table because the waitress never came back with them after I let her know that we didn’t have any. The food was so so.

It is about time I review this IHOP. They have excellent service. I usually don’t go here in the morning though. I am a night owl and sometimes I can only see my boyfriend at night, so this is our go-​to spot to eat!
Waiters are attentive and the manager checks on customers. It has a very homey atmosphere to me and the food is great.
Waiters have encouraged me to do the survey on the receipt to get free pancakes and tell me about events that happen on certain days in the restaurant. They also allow me to do my substitutions! I love pancakes and I love chicken and they have always been able to swap out my chicken and waffles for chicken and pancakes without grief! The staff & atmosphere really keeps me coming back.

Maybe i’m frugal, but its a tad bit ‘expensive’ for pancakes that i can make at home. I did enjoy them though.

i normally order take out from this location & the food is pretty good! i haven’t had a chance to dine in yet but this location is pretty clean with friendly staff.

This is one of the worst ihop I have ever been too! And I love eating at ihop. I order a Philly cheesesteak and it was not good. They are not that busy but the service is a bit slow. Are waiter forgot about us for a while or barely even checked on are table. They only good thing I liked about this ihop was the pancake and there omelet. I don’t know if it was the cook or what but I will never order anything other than from the breakfast menu. Since it appears the rest of the menu, they can’t cook very well.

It’s pancakes can’t go wrong with pancakes!!!

The service was excellent for IHop. the waiter was very tenative and made sure we had everything we asked for. The food arrived in a timly manner and was very good.

This is the worst restaurant that I have been to in my entire life. Once we were seated we asked our waiter to give us 5 mins so that we decide what we wanted to eat. These 5 mins turned into a whole hour! In the meantime my male friend went to go to the bath room and reported that he had to stop an employee from walking out without washing their hands. TO make matters worse our waiter had not given us the proper menus so when he did come back an Hour later… we had to change our order because he failed to give us the proper selection. When the food did come out it was disgusting and poorly prepared. Then I went to the woman’s bathroom and yet again another employee did not wash her hands after coming out the stall. When I came out that same employee was serving food to customer!!! Disgusting… and guess what? To put the cherry on top when When we informed management he told us he knew the employees were not washing their hands!!! What???
I would NEVER recommend that anyone go here!

Ordered delivery through Foodlers 12:42; estimated delivery 2:50. Did not receive food until 4:30. zzzzzzzzzzzzz through the process. Ok they blamed a computer glitch. Methink Not. Stay away from whoever the third party is that deliveries 4 them.

The food is okay. The service is okay when you get a server that understands English. It’s clean. Nothing special or horrible about this location. I do wish my pancakes weren’t so dry and the food had more oomph. Even when it’s crowded, I’ve gotten decent service. Maybe it’s just me, but IHOP no matter where I go doesn’t taste as good as it did 5 years ago.

First trip was enough to make me make adjustments to when I go. First things first its 7:30 am ish when me and my roomate arrived, one person was at the counter there were three patrons seated eating, and the manager/​owner bringing out orders. She ordered first, in which he some how overcharged her and had already swiped her card. She did receive a complimentary drink when she addressed the manager or perhaps owner of the mishap yet he seemed reluctant. I ordered a international crêpe, with a cup of cranberry juice, and a extra utensil pack. When I received my order which took longer than normal, there was NO granola and NO yogurt (which btw they did not let me know of prior to ordering) so I had basically a thin pancake and fruit that clearly wasnt fresh (the bananas where loud and were already browning as though they had been sitting out). The cashier forgot my drink, which he went back and got, and also my utensil which he had to make another trip to get.
I have been a waitress and a cashier before, I understand its hard esp as the only one on duty, BUT he was way too distracted for my liking, If I return, as I advise others who see this, PLEASE be very observant and careful when you go and how many ppl are on duty, because if they are just opening and he’s screwing up, his mind is not in the cashier game.

I want to start off by saying we had great service! Filex, our server was very polite, prompt, and attentive. Thank you Filex…
The food, however, was less than par. My pancakes were burnt on one side, and my omelette was horribly overcooked and dry. My girlfriends eggs were overcooked also.
Had we not been in the rush that we were, and the restaurant had not been as busy as it was (10am on Sunday) we would have sent all of our food back. I am very disappointed.

Food is dull and unappetizing. Service is absolutely hit or miss… honestly most times misses. They get pretty busy during the weekends which only leads to more mistakes and poor service. If you’re looking for a late night meal (after midnight), it could work but during a time when there are more dining options, not worth the effort.
