Food is great. The service sucks. They never seem to get your order right and are extremely unorganized with taking orders /giving you what you actually ordered. Girl with the red hair is rude.

Creative place with food and a comic book store upstairs. the staff is always the best(the nicest people around) and the food is bangarang. Big portions and amazing quesadillas and wraps. usually get a chicken popper wrap or a peacemaker with broccoli bites. Awesome ice cream too. Would’ve given this place 5 stars but the service is a little slow. I’ve been late to before waiting for my food but if you’re not in a rush and you’re looking for lunch, dinner, or late night munchies after the bar, definitely gatta try this place. I’d suggest calling your order in though, it could be 20 – 30 min before your food’s ready.

I used to come here for ice cream with my housemates from grad school, and was in town this weekend, so I figured I’d hit up some of my favorite haunts + check out some new places while I was here! I was initially somewhat put off by the complete lack of acknowledgement for the first several minutes that I was standing at the counter, but I did eventually manage to flag the lady down to sample the green tea zen ice cream. There’s a $ 5 minimum for card, so I got a small($ 3.99) topped it with strawberries and pineapples(toppings are 50 cents each). Possibly a weird combination to some, but it was super good, and hit the spot for a great dessert! She eventually warmed up as I was paying, and told me that she’d been slammed with 10 different orders in the last 10 minutes, so she was sorry for the wait, for being short with me, and cutting me off. I [unfortunately] definitely know the feeling, so it’s cool. :O I got what I went in for and things calmed down for her, so all good on all fronts. This place is connected to a comic book store up on the second floor. I was going to take my ice cream up to look around, but I think they were having a Magic tournament up there(semi-deduced this from hearing someone say, «You have summoning sickness» as I was rounding the corner), so I decided to just finish my treat downstairs. :P They sell coffee, wraps, sandwiches, fries, chips + hummus, etc. here as well, and I’ve heard pretty good things about em’!

I’ve been here a couple times, they have a large selection of ice cream flavors. One complaint I have about the ice cream is that it is extremely hard when it is served, and it doesn’t seem to melt much as time goes by. One time I ordered sprinkles and they were stale. However, my biggest complaint about Sanctuary is that if you sit inside to eat, the smoke from the grill becomes unbearable very quickly, getting in your eyes and lungs. This wasn’t bad when they had an upstairs lounge a couple years ago, but you’re not allowed to hang out up there anymore. It’s a shame they got rid of it.
