This place is the worst, canceling my service after 1 year. Tons of missed pickups with customer service saying«we will open a work order and have a truck there tomorrow» Never happens… DONOTUSE these guys…

You’d think all residential trash removal services are the same, right? Uh no, they’re not. Before taking the name«Republic Services» this trash hauler served my neighborhood well for many years as Raritan Valley Disposal. Their services were good and their prices — although not cheap — were competitive. Well, no more. This now large company has apparently forgotten what local customer service is all about, and they now charge among the highest disposal fees around. I saved about $ 20 a month by switching to a reputable local trash hauler. To add insult to injury, they charged me a «container removal fee» of $ 21.03 and sent me a nasty letter threatening me with use of a collection agency if I did not pay. As you might guess, this last bill was actually the first and only instance of this bill I received. Any«lateness» was due to their lazy & inefficient billing practices. So if you tell them you want to discontinue service, they charge you if you keep the container, and they charge you if you have them remove it! It’s good to have that kind of deal, no? You have many choices of trash haulers in Central NJ. May I suggest you consider ANY of the other choices aside from this one? Unless of course you like paying more money and getting cheesy billing practices. Vote with your dollars, my friends.

I contracted Republic to remove and dispose of a large tube TV. Told they pick up 3rd Wed which is today 11⁄19. Made appt and had to pay in ADVANCE to secure pickup appt when I called on 11⁄17. Had to move TV to outside door night prior. This was done. Called 11⁄19 in am to confirm pickup. Was told on list and pickup by 4pm. It’s 6:20PM. I called them at 3.35pm to follow-up. Told they were running behind schedule, but office closes at 5pm. Said I was scheduled. When I asked what if they didn’t come, was told, you can send and email or leave a message. SERIOUSLY??? Oh, told they may come tomorrow. For $ 100? Poor customer service. No follow-up to indicate delays or issues. They were here as communities trash WAS picked up. Consider yourself warned before using them.
