Absolutely excellent. I’ve been searching for Korean food as good as what you could find up in Fort Lee, closer to home, and I have finally found it. Another review said it is the Korean version of Chipotle and that is pretty accurate. I got the ‘I want KBG Bowl’ and it was so good I can’t stop thinking about it. Can’t wait to get some more!

One of my favorite places in all of New Brunswick. I’ve been coming here regularly since it first opened. Great tasting food especially of you’re looking for something different.

This girl with long ass hair needs to tie some hair. Was watching her assemble bowl while waiting for my bbt and her hair kept falling and she went back and forth with the bowl and touching her hair. Yuck. How unappetizing. I’ve eaten there sometime but, would recommend workers to keep the hair to themselves.

Must have: the bowl w bulgogi and every thing. Lots of food for a great price. The bulgogi is on point. The chicken was also really good.

Never order delivery from here. It took over 2 hours with a different person lying to me each time I called, about how the food is «on its way». Eventually someone informed me that the order had not even been prepared. Very infuriating, especially if you’ve been starving the whole time you had to deal with this terrible service.

This is another great place here in New Brunswick! Seriously they do such a good job on there style of Korean burrito bowls! I always have to stop here now when in town and grab a bite because it is literally that good! They have a great selection of meats, korean vegetables, sauces and other toppings to make your burrito or burrito bowl awesome! You also defiantly get your moneys worth here as well, tons of food! The place is sorta small so seating may be a challenge and the water cups are super small but other than that this place is great! It is a must stop if you like this style of Korean BBQ!

I ordered the LA Style burrito and my husband ordered the KBG style burrito as well as the K-town fries. I loved the LA burrito, it was full of flavor and the corn added a burst of flavor. I tried a few bites of my husband’s KBG and it was quite spicy after only 2 bites. If you are into spicy, I would suggest this! We didn’t enjoy the fries all that much as it was definitely too spicy. On top of the kimchi, they also added chili powder which had our mouths burning. There was also a bubble tea place inside which we also ordered from. It was quite convenient! I would stay away from their bathroom though as it was quite dirty. Also, the girl making the burrito forgot to wear gloves at the beginning, but after getting reminded by her coworker, finally put her gloves on.

Basically the Korean version of chiptole –fast and easy ordering –Ran out of bulgogi one time, I didn’t mind waiting for a fresh batch. Girl serving me was kind enough to give a bigger portion of meat for my wait. Remember to get a stamp card

Wings… crazy good! Beef mandoo… so good! Veggie mandoo good too but not as good as beef, obvi. Various dishes range from 3 – 4 stars, but service and ease of ordering online is 5 stars without question. Ordering is very easy(We use Eat Street). Delivery is quick and without complication. A great choice for a quick, semi-healthy meal.

Like others have said, this is kinda like the Korean version of Chipotle. I love and adore Chipotle, and I feel the same way about Korean food, so the blend of the two was definitely a winning combination! (I also haven’t had any even remotely Korean-esque food in over a year, so I will admit that I’ve been feeling super deprived too.) I got a medium create-your-own bowl(you can also get it in burrito or taco form!) since it was about 5 pm and I was going to get dinner with a friend at 7(don’t judge me; I was just super hungry!). For $ 6.94, I got a ginormous bowl filled with red cabbage, brown rice, bulgogi, fish cakes, bean sprouts, and daikon carrots with a drizzle of KBG sauce. It was super flavorful and/or magical. I wish I could set up the shop in my own home(y’know, if I had one). Other options include BBQ chicken, spicy pork, corn, spinach, kimchi, japchae, pickled cucumber… and they have all kinds of different sauces too! :] I’m super glad I got to try this place out! :D Service was friendly and super quick! You can get water in a cup at the front, or buy a drink from them or from Vivi’s Bubble Tea off to the side!(They had a tiramisu milk tea that I was definitely eyeing, and they also sell macarons if you want dessert!)

Very friendly and helpful service. A little overwhelming at first if you don’t know what you’re doing but they have their favorites to help out with. The girls behind the counter are helpful in explaining the different toppings. We ordered a kbg style, a noodle bowl and a I want kbg bowl. We also got three free veggie mandoos for checking in. Deelish. I have to say I prefer the bulgogi meat and spicy pork to the chicken. There’s a bobba tea place in the same spot. That’s a great combo. I got the bubble milk green tea, the lychee peachy tea with pieces of peach and a chocolate milk tea. All very good. I wish there was one in my town.

Ugh. I am so frustrated because I was only in New Brunswick for the week, and I won’t be able to experience again the gloriousness that is KBG Korean BBQ& Grill for the longest time :’( That being said, KBG offers their own customizable Korean culinary experience, complete with banchan(Korean side dishes), Korean proteins, and tasty sauces in your choice of tacos, a burrito, or a bowl. The shop space itself is small(and shared with a Vivi Bubble Tea — perfect sweet ending to your savory meal by the way), but what it lacks in space KBG makes up for in efficiency. You order from the far end of the assembly line, but before you get there, you can scope out the offerings that are displayed on a TV screen menu. As mentioned, KBG offers up your meal as tacos, a burrito, or a bowl. You get your choice of(1) lettuce,(2) rice,(3) protein,(4) toppings(mostly veggies), and(5) sauce. Yeah, it’s a lot of food, and it is fantastic. Obviously, the business model lends itself to customization, but you can also try one of their«curated» offerings, which is what my boyfriend and I did. We ordered the«I Want KBG» Bowl, which comes with lettuce, kimchi fried rice, all the proteins, and all the toppings. We were hungry — please abstain from judging. The bowl was huge — definitely a great value for $ 8.99 and definitely more than enough food for two people to share. I was a big fan of the spicy pork(we got double pork since they were out of chicken), and the sauce in which it’s bathed that thoroughly infused the entire bowl of food. The banchan veggie toppings tasted fresh and crisp, and offered a nice tart, refreshing crunch in every bite. If I had to change one thing, I would’ve gone for the«Super KBG» sauce, which is spicier than the regular KBG sauce(their take on gochujang sauce, I think). Service was quick and the staff were very helpful to us novices. I noticed that the large bowl option seemed to be a better value than the regular for those who care about that. KBG also offers Korean fried chicken, katsu, and some other a la carte options. An innovative, delicious value of a meal. Definitely recommend!

Great place to stop in for lunch! Quick, easy, and delicious. This place is chipotle style but for Korean BBQ. They blend Korean and Mexican which is slightly weird, I didn’t mix match the 2, but hey, whatever you like. I got the spicy rice with the spicy pork(because I love spicy obvs) and the 3 veggies I got were Kim Chi, bean sprouts, and some other noodle type vegetable. Then on top I got the spicy sauce. This place was a great new place to try for lunch and it was inexpensive too. I got the medium size bowl and it came up to $ 6.50something. They have multiple options as well. I also got a taro bubble tea and was not a fan. It didn’t taste fresh so prob won’t get the bubble tea from there anymore. But def stop in here and try it out! It’s worth it:) I can’t wait to go back(very soon) and try the other appetizers and dishes they have when I go out for lunch at work.

I totally underestimated this place based one my first impressions, but was pleasantly surprised. The rice bowls were great(and a secret not listed on the menu is that you could request jab chae instead of rice) and came out promptly — good for those with hungry stomachs. The bubble tea were ok — but the roasted tea had a strong tea flavor which I really appreciated. The fried chicken was covered in more sauce and had a sweeter taste than what I’m used to at BonChon, but fair quality for the price. Mandoos were delicious, but I think checking in now only gets your the vegetarian ones(I did not get beef ones as other people did). Service was nice except for the older gentleman who looks perpetually grouchy in the back.

If you come for the bowls, you get to munch on it within 3min you walk in the door — fast service! No minimum for credit card. If you are new to this spot, order the ‘i want kbg bowl’, which is a huge bowl with everything in it. The hot tofu soup was excellent, however it take some 15−20min wait. Oh, be sure to ask for the super kbg source, a very hot yet finely balanced concoction.

Great price for what you get: Korean-style Chipotle! What could be better? First time there, I got 3 free beef mandoos for checking in(your choice between beef/veggie/chicken). My main order was a bowl with kimchi rice, bulgogi/spicy pork, lettuce/corn/bean sprouts/cilantro, topped with sour cream & sweet & spicy sauce. Only complaint is that she put way too much sour cream & cause in my bowl, making it too creamy/soupy by the time I was halfway through. I couldn’t finish it because of that. Next time I’d just ask for minimal sauce and hold off on the sour cream. The food honestly doesn’t even need it.

Fast, cheap, and tasty! If you ever want some delicious and flavorful Korean food with a twist, you must check this place out! The first time I’ve been here was about three years ago, and it wasn’t too memorable. I gave this place another try last week when my Rutgers friend told me that she’s never had Korean food before! I suggested this place and My Way, but we ended up choosing here, because we thought this place was more laid back and chill! Plus, ViVi bubble tea is right here! Many say that this is like a Koren-style Chipotle, and I can’t agree more! You can first choose a form: burrito, bowl, tacos; then a rice: kimchi, brown, white; a protein: pork, bulgogi, tofu; and veggies! My friend and I both chose the bowl, and we had lots of fun creating our own delicious bowls with flavorful and seasoned meats and veggies! It’s like a PARTY in a bowl! There was literally everything that you could imagine all at once! Plus, this is very affordable and quick and pretty healthy!

Between 3 and 4 stars, but I’m going for 3 because of the overall experience. This is a little restaurant(very little) right off Rutgers’ College Ave campus and right next to the New Brunswick train station. The general idea is a Chipotle-style Korean fast food place, like many have mentioned. It’s a unique concept to the NJ area but I’ve seen it done in Atlanta many times, better. I came here with a friend today. It was a Saturday so pretty slow, but I was still surprised there was only one girl making the food(assembly line style, like at Chipotle). We had to wait a bit because she was answering the phone and, with only her at the counter, she couldn’t serve as at the same time. She was nice enough, but also weirdly impatient with us. I asked for the Unilocal check-in special 3 free mandoos, and she sighed like it was a big hassle. I ordered a medium sized bowl and my friend ordered a large size. Although there’s only a 1.50 difference, the medium size gets much less food. My friend received 2 scoops of lettuce, rice, protein and each of his 5 toppings while I only received 1 scoop of everything and only 3 toppings. It was enough to fill me up but the large size bowl is definitely a better deal. As for the food… it was pretty good in it’s entirety, but the separate ingredients were meh. I liked the kimchi rice a lot, but my tofu and toppings looked and tasted like they weren’t fresh. My bowl had a lot of flavor and I loved the super KBG sauce(technically spicy, but more sweet in my opinion), but I was disappointed by the soggy looking ingredients. Definitely a lot of sodium too, but I guess that gives the food better taste. I’m still glad I tried this place though. There are a ton of places in Atlanta, where I go to school, that do the Korean-Mexican fusion fast food thing, so I’ve always wanted to see what the hype is about. I probably won’t come back again though. Considering the price and quality, I would rather go to a traditional Korean restaurant or Chipotle.

The high rating among other Unilocalers really got me and my boyfriend excited to try a new place. Unfortunately, this failed to live up to the ratings and star quality. Maybe it works for some people, but we are not one of those people. The food isn’t terrible. It has a lot of flavor and for the price, you get a decent amount of food. Like everyone else says it’s Chipotle style Korean food, the concept is there but the execution lacked. If you’re a vegetarian don’t order the noodle soup, it’s beef broth — not vegetarian! I ordered the tofu kimchi rice bowl with picked cucumbers, corn, and bean sprouts. Lots of flavor, pretty good flavor but made me feel a little crappy after eating. My boyfriend enjoyed the tacos, but again not so great after. It claims quality-certified meats but it didn’t really look like it. The vegetable dumplings were greasy, the sauce way too salty, luckily we used our Unilocal check-in for that. The bubble tea? Milk tea green tea was delicious. The atmosphere isn’t super refreshing and seemed a little dingy to me. I was disappointed in the fact that the girl making our food had her hair just down and not pulled back in a pony tail. It seems a little unsanitary to have hair dangling over food that way. We’re happy we gave it a shot, but we probably won’t try it again with so many other good restaurants around the area.
