I had been going to a multi-​location electrolysis salon, and as it was my first time to try electrolysis, I really didn’t know what to expect. For starters, it HURT! And I would get little whiteheads afterwards in the treated area. YUCK.
Fortunately, they closed the location that was convenient for me, so I scouted around and found Diane. I learned that electrolysis doesn’t have to be painful — I have NO pain with Diane — and her process is more effective. I have no negative after effects. She is flexible, her pricing fair, and all in all makes it a pleasant experience. I highly recommend her.

I wanted to wait awhile before writing up a review on Diane. Mostly because I wanted to get a good idea on the whole process for you before I wrote anything… but also to get a definite yay or nay. This will be a long review but if your interested… Stay tuned…
My story began about 10 years ago when I was 18 years old. I had just had my one and only child and I had just started going to college, when all of the sudden I started noticing that I had 2 or 3 hairs growing on my chin! I didnt think too much of it… just tweezed them. No biggie. Problem solved… or so i thought! Flash forward 9 years… what started out as 3 little hairs had now multiplied times 20 (literally) and had spread to both sides of my chin!!*%&$@!! I was still tweezing but now I was doing it every single day! Seriously! I was obsessed!
Finally after weeks and months and years of plucking tweezing picking and scratching I finally realized I was not getting anywhere! The hair was getting worse and I was not doing anything to PERMANENTLY get rid of the liitle damn hairs! And so the research began…
Diane Christopherson and electrolysis are my light at the end of the tunnel!!! I like permanant when it came to the hair on my chin being gone. I liked that she had a small private business, was close to my house, had flexible hours and knew a little something about killing hair follicles).Actually alot! She was honest with me and answered all of the questions I had. She also told me the good news and the bad news. The good news was I could get rid of my hairs! YAY! Bad news… that because I had been tweezing for so long I had unfortunatly strengthened the hairs root system and because my root system was so strong it would take me a longer time and more treatments to see results…(Tip: Go in right away if you notice hair that you do not want there. The sooner you go in the better!) and cheaper.$$$
Today… I have been going to see Diane for quite awhile now. At first I had to go in every 7 days to zapp the whiskers. As time went on my appts kept getting farther and farther apart. Now I can make it about 3 weeks before I have to make an appt. My hairs are really starting to get thin again and I have noticed some hairs not coming back. Hooray! SOOOO if you are thinking of getting electrolysis. do some research save up some $ and call Diane!!!) Patience wont hurt either. oops almost forgot… it doesnt hurt that bad. you can handle it.

I have been going to Diane Christofferson for more than a year now, and I’m really pleased with her work. I have seen a dramatic improvement in the treated areas, and I only have to see her for bi-​weekly maintainence now. Her business is based out of her home-​office in New Brighton, which I didn’t realize until I arrived for my first appointment, but it is nice because there is always parking and lots of privacy. One of the best things about Diane is her pricing, I bought the 60 minute, 20-​session package for $ 800, and that breaks down to $ 40 an hour, which is far less than any electrologist I can find in the Twin Cities. She is always professional, and is extremely flexible on fitting me in at the last minute.
Also, I will say that I have tried laser hair removal, and it didn’t do squat for me. I wish I had started the electrolysis years ago, because it makes my life and beauty routine so much easier. If you are thinking about trying electrolysis, I would highly recommend Diane.
