by far my favorite sandwich place– I usually call my order in and just swing by to grab it. things are always quick and my sandwich is AWESOME every time– turkey is my go to but I also like roast beef or just a plain cheese. the only reason I gave this place a 4 is because there is a gentleman who works here regularly and his attitude is never very good– to customers or co workers. luckily the sandwiches are great

The sandwiches are outstanding and I am a huge fan of the muffalata-style bread. PROTIP: Order online at and get it delivered! :)

I give it two stars bc the sandwich was worth that. Not a fan of owner whom seems to not care about her customers. Did not take AMEX, to which she was unapologetic. I’ll take my business to the Jimmy Johns down the road. Shame, I really loved this place in college(original location).

I wouldn’t say that I am a hard to please customer or given to fits of annoyance or aggravation, but this place is rough. I walk in and am greeted at the counter by a teenager who was cordial enough though not friendly. I ask if «the sensation» sandwich is the same as «the salvation» at Alvin Ords. He just stares at me and eventually says he doesn’t know. I then ask if this place is in fact owned by the same people of Alvin Ords… he doesn’t know. I order the sandwich anyhow hoping for the best and wait for my take out order. Not long after, a guy brings me a bag and I head out the door. Before the door closes I hear«HEY! That’s not yours!» from a lady behind the counter. Now that everyone in the restaurant thinks I’ve stolen something, I head back in and am told to hand over the bag to another customer. No apology, no explanation, just me super embarrassed and uncomfortable. The food? Not nearly as good as the San Marcos location. The bread was so crunchy I scraped the roof of my mouth. Get it together Ords!

The food was good. Maybe not as good as Alvin Ord’s but I’d go back. The customer service was good. Based on previous reviews I was worried but the staff was nice and our three sandwiches and a soup came out in less than 5 minutes.

Sandwiches were okay. Nothing to write home about. Bread left paper wrapper greasy. Brownies were too greasy and undercooked to eat. Used a Groupon and still had to pay almost $ 2 additional for what should have been included. Will not buy the Groupon deal again nor eat at this place.

Great atmosphere. Great food. Great service. And they now deliver, and they don’t take super long either. Everything I’ve tried is good. Their bread is fresh.

Great sandwiches. Always good and similar to the original Alvin Ord’s in San Marcos. Call in and take out available and work great. Use the back door for easier parking too. I also can’t tell why it only has 3.5 stars, it’s way better than that.

Not so sure why the Ords has 3 stars… I absolutely love the Ords! They’re sandwiches are filling, yummy, and a great variety! You go far with your dollar and sure to see something you will like here. They have chips galore! I love the sea salt kettle cooked chips oh and the choice of bread would have to be garlic cheese.

All I can say is yum. Garlic cheese bread. Warm sandwiches. We have tried chicken salad, BBQ, but turkey bacon ranch is probably our fav. They deliver which is awesome and we also like to call in our order. We have never been disappointed.

Love the food and eat here once a week. However, the cashier was extremely nervous(probably her first day) and another employee continued to berate her for being slow on the register. I’ll have to say Alvin Ords and The Ords went to totally different customer satisfaction classes.

Great sandwiches, However customer service is SOBAD! Credit Card Beware!!! Please note that the Ords writes down your credit card information on a piece of paper. If you have your food delivered just note you are taking a risk as The Ords gives the ENTIRECREDITCARDINFORMATION to the delivery person– Hope and pray that employee does not steal it or worse drop that piece of paper. I have been getting sandwiches from here for a while but after speaking with the owner who is completely careless of YOUR credit card information, I will NO longer purchase from this small business again.

This place is waaaay better than Alvin Ord’s. The chicken salad sandwich is amazing and the owner has served it to me personally every time I’ve gone there. The atmosphere is great with the children’s art hanging on the walls. I don’t know why other reviewers said the people looked pissed off. They have always been friendly to me with great customer service. I can’t say enough good things about the food here. It’s healthy and the portion sizes are just right. The fresh bread is what makes their sandwiches different than other sandwich shops. Love, love, love it!

Very very close to Alvin Ord’s in San Marcos. When we went in the customer service was fine. However we were the only ones in there at the time. Dived into the Salvation… err. Sensation with French bread. Texture and size were about the same. The one real difference is the sandwich you get here is not as ‘greasy’ as the one you would get in San Marcos. That being said there might be a difference in the types of meat/cheeses used thus accounting for the slight taste difference.

The sandwiches are usually decent, but I am aghast at how slow the service was. I waited 30 minutes for ONE sandwich tonight. That’s just ridiculous.
