Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union

I have an account with RBFCU and extremely and completely satisfied with banking here. I’m writing this review based upon my last visit. I went with a friend that had to go in and bank with a teller. I sat near the entrance during the wait. Minutes later, ‘Mr. G’ sat near me and he was a hoot. He mentioned that he was at the Credit Union to straighten out accounts since his wife of 50 years has passed away the week before. He showed me their original marriage certificate.
He mentioned that they would have celebrated their 51^st anniversary, He was teary eyed while sharing stories about the Love of his Life. After a few minutes, a rep came over and was ready to offer ‘Mr. G’ assistance. We shook hands and I offered my condolences once again. The rep treated him with such caring empathy — The exact treatment I would want, would it be me or someone I know.
I believed that all banks and credit unions were alike… but after that visit, I know that’s not true. Thank you RBFCU for your excellent customer service. Cheers*** :)

While I’ll give them high marks for being pleasant and trying to do a good job, I have 2 big beefs with them. Their website is one of the poorest I’ve ever seen for a financial institution, maybe it was done by the same company that did Obamacare. Second, their electronic bill paying has, over the last year, resulted in 5 late payments for bills that were posted at least 3 – 7 days before their due date. They reversed the charges, but it never should’ve happened in the first place and is a waste of my time to resolve. Apparently, they send a lot of bills out by mail instead of doing it electronically. About 10 years behind the technology… I’m looking for another bank that doesn’t use ePay, if they exist.

I’m in shock! I had a car loan with Randolph Brooks that I paid off 3 years ago. Never a late payment. My credit is great. I called to refinance an existing loan that I have with VW and they said I was declined. You would think that being a prior customer with Randoph, they would approve me instantly! Horrible service by gentleman on the phone as well.

Saturday banking until 4pm! The extended hours for this bank pursuaded me to use this bank for my daughter’s 1^st account for a minor. They did not give me any problem in opening an account. Chase bank told me we couldn’t open an account for a minor unless they had a state ID, (the high school ID wouldn’t work)., birth certificate, blahblahblah! I have never had bad experience here

Love the large, clean restrooms, and they have lots of loan officer rooms like 10. I have only been a member of the credit union for six months, and I do find them more personable and helpful than the big chain banks. The only pet peeve I have with them is you cannot make a deposit through their atm, which Bank of America does.
