New Braunfels Optical Shoppe

We moved to New Braunfels from Austin last year and I wasn’t sure we would find an optician who would click with us. Have you ever meet a small business owner and it feels like they are a long-​time friend? Meeting Linda at the New Braunfels Optical Shoppe felt like that. She greeted us warmly and introduced my kids to Mr. Luna, the shop’s kitty cat. Anna, my 14-​year old daughter, has multiple special needs, and she’s been wearing glasses since she was a baby. With a large selection of unique and beautiful frames, I was very impressed by how quickly she assessed my daughter’s face and picked the perfect frame. Anna’s glasses are so cute and they were ready in record time. I can’t wait to get an updated prescription for myself now!

A friend recommended coming to the optical haus. I was pleasantly surprised of the selection of frames. they were not your normal run-​of-​the-​mill frames, which is what I was looking for. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to go to a larger city to get what I was looking for. Linda was so accommodating and eager to please me. I came back later and ordered a pair of sunglasses that I love. I now consider Linda Quaid a friend.

I love this place. I know that sounds weird to say about an eyeglass shop but when the customer service is so great, it feels good. In a day where big retailers are pushing out the little guys this shop stands alone. Linda (the owner) has gone above and beyond for me, now on numerous occasions. First repairing a very expensive pair of sunglasses for me, that numerous chain and small shops alike, told me where not repairable for under $ 150 dollars if at all. A little back ground, all they needed were new polarized lenses. I found Linda, and she said she had no problem cutting new lenses for me, at a very competitive price. It seems that the other retailers where simply to lazy to get my business. When customer service is this friendly and the staff is knowledgeable and genuinely interested in what they are selling you, you take notice. On my more recent shopping experience here, Linda ordered in a pair of frames for me which we decided I would like, simply for me to try on. There was no push to buy them. After months of thinking about it, I called her up and asked if she could order them in a different shade, once again with no push to buy, she happily ordered them and called me to let me know they arrived, and I purchased them. Had I decided against the purchase, I think Linda would have still been just as friendly and warm towards me as a customer, she really care’s for what she does, and it is very refreshing. I will continue to go here for my optical needs and will happily refer all friends and family to shop here before trying the other guys!
