This place was great and out if the way from the other outfitters. I have an appreciation for people who know the river like the back of their hand. Jimbo provided good tips for navigating around some areas tougher to kayak, checked up on us when he was dropping some folks off on a shorter run, and snapped a picture at the end. He made everything easy, while the kayaking was tough, just the way I like it. Take the 3 hour trip, stop off at the Lone Star Floathouse for a burger and a beer, and enjoy the workout. Also, there is a no can ban here. Lastly, he didn’t laugh at me when I saw a «water moccasin» (water snake in truth). Let’s just say I don’t do snakes in the water.

Friendly staff with reasonable prices. When we came in September, it was the only place open. The river was super slow. If we didn’t paddle, we never would have made it back.

When river time hits, comes around – this is my outfitter!!! Not only does Jerry provide durable equipment that can withstand the hottest of Texas summer’s, but their management and staff is always right there to greet me and get me out to the river asap. Jerry’s isn’t as big as other companies, so they’re able to give you great treatment at a cheaper price. I got stranded once and called up from another outfitter and the driver was able to locate me and showed up in five minutes. We had a great time and camping experience. Thanks Jerrys!
