Nothing at this place stands out as great. The staff seemed friendly enough. None of the food seemed fresh from the kitchen as it was served to us kinda warm. Our fajitas weren’t sizzling but instead sitting in a oil bath. After we left we remembered that they forgot to give us items with our kids meal. This was a road side stop for us on our way further south so maybe they have better days. We wouldn’t stop here again.

We visited here from Houston. Stayed one night. The lady at the hotel we stayed said we should try. Food was good, service was good, and staff was friendly and attentive. Update from yesterday’s post. DONOTEAT here!!! I had stomach virus all night. This was the only thing I ate.

I took my wife and her family here today and was quite impressed by the large portions of food on our plates. The taste was authentic and our drinks never got low. The green sauce they brought out with our chips was awesome. I will definitely come back.

Fast clean fresh and friendly. Salsa needs improvement. Liked the green salsa but found out at the end of the meal that it has milk. Ugh. I’m allergic. Who puts milk in salsa?

Passing through looking for a good local place to eat so checked Unilocal and found this place. Even though it’s right on the frontage road with easy of /on, probably wouldn’t have stopped in without the reviews as it didn’t look like anyone was there from the front and it was after 8pm. We saw they were open and gave it a shot due to the Unilocal reviews and glad we did. When we went inside it looked bigger than outside and there were at least 20 – 30 people inside eating! Waitress was friendly, food was good, service was quick enough to get back on the road and prices were typical $ 7-$ 11 for most plates. We ordered white queso(they have white & yellow cheese and waitress said white was best), the A1 Amigo Juan’s platter w beef & chicken fajitas, chicken fajita nachos, cheese enchilada plate. The salsa was a bit different than typical and more of a purée in texture but had good flavor. The frijoles w the A1 plate were real good Everything was tasty. Only complaint was no soap in the men’s restroom but it was clean and since it was 45 min before closing probably just ran out from a long day rather than being neglected and mis-managed. I’d stop again if passing through.

Easy access of Interstate 30. Friendly service, clean and lively. Food came amazingly fast. Reason it’s not five star: chips were not warm and a bit stale. Not the best Mexican food I’ve ever had but good enough that I’ll come back and unwound recommend it.

Ill give Amigo Juan’s Five stars, Reason being they treat you like one of the family as soon as you walk throe the door. Believe it or not they do remember you and your tastes. Unlike some other restaurants we frequent. As soon as we enter the door they already have our drinks at the table and are ready to take our order, with a polite hello and how have you been doing. If you want to be served in a fun and family oriented atmosphere. If your out of town, or live near by Amigo Juan’s is the place to go…“Peace”

For a restaurant in a town like New Boston(small East Texas town) this place is exceptional! Pros: Service: fast and friendly; extremely fast! Food: decent quality and well priced Alcohol: only place in town that serves hooch; the Long Island ice tea(8 $) was hard to finish(in a happy intoxicated way:) Atmosphere: clean and neat design Cons: Salty: carne asada with shrimp That’s it! And my food could’ve been an experiential occurance. Would recommend to anyone passing through.

Amazing food, amazing service, fast and it was weird to see Mexican restaurant but no Spanish ppl there not even servers, wait staff, not even costumers but loved their food. I ordered mojito but the waitress said they don’t have mint, I changed my mind and had a margaritas, ufff that was one of heck margarita I ever had. It’s hiding between DQ& Pizza Hut but I bet this restaurant do more business then all those.
