I was contacting Turasky’s about catering a Christmas luncheon for my employees, about 20 – 30 people. I called three separate times, and each time, the person who answered did not ask me any questions about my event, but told me they would leave a message for someone to call me and provide a quote. Additionally, I completed their online quote request form, which states they will try to respond within 24 hours. After a week, I had still not received any replies, even though their website states they will respond in 24 hours. The third time I called after nearly a week, the woman on the phone had the audacity to tell me that if I wanted them to cater for me, I would need to keep calling until I was able to reach someone. What business tells their customers they need to take care of themselves? I told her that obviously they don’t want my business, and I am not going to work that hard so I can pay them. She told me someone would call me back that day, but of course, I did not receive any calls. Days later, I receive a one-liner email from the owner, Tony Turasky, stating that they will not cater for groups of less than 50 people. Why do you suppose that no one I spoke to before that could have taken the time to tell me that? Instead, I lost almost 2 weeks of planning time waiting on these people. I found this entire process to be very unprofessional. There was a complete disregard for their potential customers. We will not be back.
