The nachos are to die for! The service is always great and staff couldn’t be any nicer. The Atmosphere is laid back, plenty of tvs for sporting events ! Can’t go wrong here!

This place has ruined burgers for me. I work in New Berlin but commute 65 miles from home. I went to the Ale House for a business lunch once and tried the Southwest burger and waffle fries. I was instantly hooked. Not only does the food have excellent presentation,(looking like art) it is the very best burger I’ve ever tried. I’ve had it 8 times this month and then… I ate at Red Robin yesterday. Damn you Ale House! Damn you! I’ll never be able to enjoy a burger from somewhere else now because of you!

This location has essentially 2 main sections — the restaurant/bar area, and the bowling alley. I’ve been bowling here for the last few months and ventured to both sides of the house. Several colleagues have played volleyball outside as well on one of the 5 or 6 sand courts. The bowling alley features 28 lanes and a bar with severs and runners on this side. If you’re looking for a larger selection of beer, go over to the bar/restaurant side where they have around 30 taps and a bunch of bottles. This side reminds me of Damens with large projection screens, lots of TVs for sporting events, and quick service. The food is hit or miss when it comes to the apps, wraps, and burgers. There is a huge selection on the menu so make sure to ask them when you have a question. Overall, the staff is very friendly yet can get overwhelmed sometimes. Definitely a great place to check out for bowling or a sporting event yet I would stick more to drinks or a light app.

What has propelled NBAH past most sports bars the last few years is it’s Monster BLT, a figurative ton of bacon for under $ 10. In recent past it has featured a Dagwoodian pile of crispy bacon!!! Last week’s version was 1 penny under 10, and likely weighed the same at service, but wasn’t cooked as much(so perhaps 2 pcs less), and was splayed out wide ala The Flying Spaghetti Monster. So while more namesake monsterlike, I do prefer the stacked version I could barely get into my mouth. Still, it is great! Friday’s Beer Battered Cod’s darker color scares some people, but they’re not using Lite, so it’s a good flavorful thing. Eat with 7th days, Mormons, or Muslims and you’ll see the normal batter cod that won’t scare your eyes. Both seem to always come out with extra crispy crust, and flaky insides. The coleslaw and tartar sauce likely are from a Sysco vat, yet they chose the right vats, and have enough throughput so the shredded and chopped bits are always crunchy, and the creamy parts are dialed into their complimentary bliss point. I’m also a fan of their Thursday soup vat of Cajun Chicken Corn Gumbo, creamy spicy. Sandwiched between industrial parks, NBAH uses bowling, volleyball, and the perhaps the world’s best daytime bartender to try and give customers reasons to come day/yearlong. Longtime fixture Brad(looks like an ex-marine, often in shorts) perhaps has been there since in was Kuglitsch’s, and has the best mixture of attentiveness, speed, and unobtrusive gregariousness in the business. So always good for sports, and it’s the best weekday beer included single person lunch in the New Berlin area for me. Lot’s of TV’s, fast friendly service, and lot’s of bacon.

This is close to home for me. I’ve been here around 5 times. I’m giving it an extra ½ star on location since it’s close to my home. I’ve been here mostly for private events. There always seems to be something going on and there is always a nice crowd. The place is enormous but the atmosphere is inviting and very relaxed. I’ve felt completely comfortable walking in alone. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a large & unique shaped bar in the front surrounded by many tables & televisions to accommodate any size group. I imagine it would be a perfect place to get a group together to watch a sporting event. The Bowling Alley in the back seems more spacious than most.(I have not bowled here so I can’t review the lanes.) I’ve only eaten pizza(fair) and had domestic bottled beer(cold) so I’m not knowledgable on the menu either. This place is not known for it’s food… If I had to compare it to another it would be Club Paragon. I give the edge to New Berlin Ale House because they’ve successfully made this enormous place more inviting and relaxed.

New Berlin Ale House isn’t a place you walk into with high expectations, it’s connected to a bowling alley. But I would definitely put it a cut above the average town bar/restaurant. We had a group of 6 which was easy to handle with their large tables. The sampler platter was awesome, it was perfect to share with friends. I also had the bbq cheeseburger, which was good. Unfortunately, the service was pretty slow, I think they were a bit understaffed. But our waiter was nice and trying his best. So not a foodie place, but if you want some pretty good standard fare(and perhaps a round or two of bowling), this isn’t a bad choice.

Just ate here about two hours ago, both my friend and I got sick almost before we got home! I had the turkey Swiss avocado burger with fries and my friend had the mushroom burger and fries. We both started getting stomach cramps on the ride home and got bad diahrrea within 15 minutes of getting home. Something obviously wasn’t right there in their cooking. Won’t go here again!

It’s a nice venue but when we called ahead about reserving a lane some kid answered the phone and cussed us out. When we got there and mentioned our experience on the phone the guys on the counter tried to blow us off but it was obvious that they knew what had happened.

I like New Berlin Ale House, I do. The thing is I like them for their activities, not so much their food. They have trivia, bowling, volleyball leagues, lots of TVs, games like shuffleboard and darts, etc. Their food is… okay. Bar food. I’ve eaten here more times than I’d like and everything is just ok. They have the standard fried apps, wraps, burgers, pizza, things like that. The best thing I’ve eaten here was probably the BBQ chicken pizza. I come for the Tuesday night trivia, not for the food. I just need to make sure I eat before coming here and focus on coming to the New Berlin Ale House for the drinks and entertainment.

I was here only once. Based on my experience– Cons: Dim lit and little old place. Only two people serving(fretting) at a busy bar. Pros: Large and spacious. Easy to get an appointment. We ordered buffalo hot wings and no regrets. Wouldn’t recommend if you are throwing a party or something. Best & cheap place for a descent hangout($ 1 on monday nights)

Descriptive phrase: spacious but friendly suburban pub. The New Berlin Ale House is a large space off the corner of Mooreland and Cleveland in New Berlin that houses a bar, restaurant, bowling alley, party space, and outdoor sand volleyball courts. It does all this without feeling too corporate. I’ve been here a few times for drinks after work, as well as once for dinner and once for an event. Their event space is dated but large, and the food was pretty good for the mass-amounts they had to make. Their restaurant features standard pub fare, and it’s passable though not great. The bar itself is fairly large, and wraps around to allow for plenty of seating. Prices are average and so is the beer selection; however, TVs are plentiful and it could be a fun place to hang out for a game. The wings at the bar are actually pretty tasty. New Berlin Ale House is an okay stop for a happy hour drink on my way home.

We recently had our wedding here and I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. After the wedding, I had heard from friends and family members that our planner, Mary Jo, had yelled at my Grandmother. I wouldn’t believe it except for that fact that I heard this from numerous people! Lastly, our reception had moved to the bar after midnight. Management working that was extremely rude and unprofessional with my husband and our guests. Stay away from this place!

Horrible service. Cold greasy fish and didn’t receive part of my meal. Super bummed because I was excited to try this place. Definitely will not be back.

Love the beer selection at the bar and there isn’t a bad seat in the house(when you can find one) to watch the games on their big screens. The menu has a little bit of something for everyone.

This is a cool place to watch a game, with lots of space, and lots of TV’s. They even reserve select tables during big games, which can be very helpful if you’re going with a group of people! Food is pretty good too!

I went to the ale house for a co-worker’s birthday. They had a section reserved, which also apparently included our own wait staff. The space itself is huge, with a lot of TV’s and projectors etc. If you are going to watch a sporting event here, not a bad choice. The service was a bit on the slow side and the waitress had very little knowledge of what are typically common drinks and cocktails. The food was ok at best, nothing seemed home made or fresh. Very much a «drop in the deep fryer» kind of joint. They did have double jack and cokes for $ 4.50 when I was there, that rocked. There is a bowling alley attached which is cool, if you are into that sort of thing of course.

So, I went with a friend to this«diversity team building» something or other for her job, and we had a really good time. Good pizza, the waitress was very attentive with the drinks for everyone, and I thought this was the nicest bowling alley I have ever been in. The floors were waxed and the bowling balls just glide down the lanes like water. Really nice place.

Helped a friend celebrate her 30th birthday here last night. It was my first visit to the ale house portion. I have bowled here once before, and they have good prices for bowling, by the way. Anyway, Saturday night is karaōke night. I’m not a fan, but I was with some fun people, so I put up with it. One guy was actually worthy of the early rounds of American Idol. He nailed the three songs he sang. The beer list here is decent and they seem to always have great drink specials. I will likely visit again.

Went here last week for a work outing. There were probably 100 people bowling from 3−5pm on a Wednesday. The people working there were very nice especially considering we were given vouchers for free beer so I doubt people were tipping very well. We had a bunch of pizzas and was entirely expecting crappy, bowling alley pizza, but it was actually really good! It’s not often that I drive to New Berlin for bowling, but I wouldn’t hesitate to go back if I was in the area.

Like Scott L, dined for a late Saturday lunch in August, but it was quiet there. Very happily surprised! Excellent service and high quality bar, pub food! The place is open and clean and a big change from the former Kuglitsch’s!(sp?) We will definitely be back! Love the thin and crisp homemade potato chips!
