Can’t say I’ll be rushing back anytime soon. We were the only customers there on lunchtime. The food was very slow to come out. My friend ordered the almost nacho like pizza and said it wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either. I had chowder… awful. No clams weird broth tasted more like I unflavorful potato soup. However, the stuffies I ordered were really good and the waitress was friendly place also looked clean.

The hubby and I decided to try Mikey B’s for dinner. I had been there previously with the kiddies. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. One even remembered me from my previous visit and stopped to say hi. Really made me feel welcome. The décor is very nice. Relaxing and soothing. The seafood is incredibly fresh. And delicious. We started with calamari, which was excellent. Fresh and cooked perfectly. I had a lobster dish and he had broiled scallops. Both were ocean fresh and delicious. We will be back.

Absolutely the worst dining experience!!! The soda had no carbonation and tasted like city water. The pizza was made on some thin tortilla looking material and tasted like I imagine cardboard would taste. The deep fried scallops were almost raw and the French fries were soft.

Charming décor but there was a strange smell present. The free chips and salsa… chips were stale and smelled like they were bagged chips that they threw in the fryalator. We ordered clam chowder and the clam and scallop fritters(clam cakes with scallops) for appetizers. Chowder was very thick and definitely cut with a lot of cream but not the worst I’ve had. The clam/scallop cakes were really tough, kind of like over microwaved bread. I ordered the double pizza(literally two bar pizza’s on top of each other) and my boyfriend ordered fish and chips. Pizza was incredibly greasy and the cheese was tough and rubbery, almost like it was fat free cheese. I would not order it again. My boyfriend’s fish and chips was presented poorly, on a small glass salad plate. It seemed to be frozen fish portions. He could have gotten a free refill on the fish but he declined, he just wasn’t happy with it. I would not be opposed to going back but I definitely would not suggest going there. It had an element of uncleanliness, with the strange smell, sticky nasty menus and the occasional fruit fly hovering about.

The food was fresh and excellent, our waitress was very attentive. Four of us split a few apps and desserts. The mozzarella sticks were delicious, I think they were homemade. Chourico puffs and Crispy fried calamari were delicious as well. Lobster Dewey dinner entrée was delectable. I got the Portuguese pops and sweet potato fries as sides which were very good too. The Apple Orchard Martini was yummy, it tasted like a jolly rancher! I took down the recipe since it’s my new favorite drink! Oh and the fried ice cream and brownie with ice cream and maple sauce were so good. The only thing I didn’t love was the bacon wrapped scallops, I think it was just the sauce they had it in that I wasn’t a fan of. But overall everything was excellent and fresh! I love that they are on . I really like saving money and having a great meal! I would go more often if I lived a little closer.

Got to try this place again. Everything was awesome! I know it has had problems in the past but the owners we having some management issues. They do have it right now! The atmosphere is delightful … The waitstaff know their job… The bartenders are excellent… & I can’t say enough about the food. When you arrive they give you free of charge some homemade salsa & chips. Made by the Chef Alberto who is from Guatemala. Alberto & most of the other chefs are also from the owners previous restaurant in Fairhaven, MA. It was called«The Huttleston House Restaurant & Bar» that was fine dining & was opened for 35 years before it was sold & the owners decided to get more involved in Mikey B’s… I have had the seafood which I think is best in the city. The hamburgers I know are great. You have to try the Mike’s Favorite Chicken Sandwich… the kids love the menu. Real homemade chicken tenders. & great pizza… my favorite is the pulled pork or the scallop plate or the fisherman’s plater but I love it all. They do a great«to go» business ask any firefighter from the north end. Also are putting in a «to go» window & delivery service in the next few weeks… Can’t wait for that. I know my friends at St. Luke’s Hospital are excited about that! Good eating makes for happier Nursery & Doctors. The staff at Mikey B’s can help you plan anything from a girl’s night out to a baby shower. I have seen wedding receptions there & after funerals. I know they do off premise catering. That was one of the things that made Huttleston House Restaurant so successful so it is no wonder that they are still doing it. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed. Check out their web site. Beautiful photos.

This place has been a hit or miss for me several times. Every time i go back im reminded of why its the last place i think of for a quick bite. In the past the beer has been warm and the seafood just mediocre. I often wonder why doesnt everyone talk about the«all you can eat fish n chips» or the other seafood deals. Well its because they cannot do seafood right at all. Last night my daughter & i went in starving it was almost 9 pm. We were greeted oddly, with so many apologies it felt they were covering up for something right from the start. I just asked for fish & chips because i was hungry & figured it would be quick. It all came out promptly, the chowder was ok, i got one chewy piece of clam in my cup. Fish came out quick it was probably because it was undercooked. It seemed like a frozen piece of fish that was battered and fried too quickly. I returned it & the circus began. My appetite was gone after chewing on raw fish i just wanted to go home. My daughters burger was great, ive had good food there before, nothing to rave about, just food. The poor waitress said it was her first day, more apologies it was just too much after a very long day. They lay it all on so thick and we felt humiliated the way the bartender yelled out goodbye loud enough they heard her across the street. The entrance way needs redesigning. I think it could be a popular spot with some reorganization. They seem to be trying to hard but in the wrong way.

Awesome food and drinks. Staff is super friendly and always gives 5 star service! The burgers are out of this world! The kitchen staff are always coming up with new and inventive burger specials and they hit it out of the park every time! I have also been to a couple of the their catered functions and WOW they do not disappoint! Try them. You wont be disappointed that you did!

This is probably one of the worst places I’ve ever eaten at in my life in fact, the stuff that was going on at this restaurant last night during a birthday party I was attending for a friend was so bad I thought it was being filmed for the Food Network’s «Restaurant Impossible.» Yes folks, it was that bad. Like I said a group of us were there to celebrate a dear friend’s 50th birthday. Got there around 4p and the place was pretty vacant. At first glance it looked clean and had good color to it but the greeting was almost forced upon. Headed into the dining area and sat down and immediately an older waitress with blonde hair seemed frazzled. There were only 5 of us there at this time and off the bat, drink orders were being messed up and she couldn’t keep track. More people showed up and they added another waitress for the party. Appetizer orders weren’t taken for almost an hour even though we requested and when food did come out it wasnt what we ordered. My request of just some bread and butter took almost 30 min to come to the table after request. We finally had to force our dinner orders on her to get them going and they took probably close to 35 min to come out of the kitchen. All told we had a group of 15 of which 1 was an infant and 3 were small children who didnt really require a lot at all so the fact that they were overwhelmed was rather surprising. The second waitress who came in to work our table and was accommodating and friendly. The first big sign of trouble– I asked the second waitress to clarify what came with a dish on the menu and the older waitress came over and yelled«that is my side of the table!!!» as if the other waitress was trying to steal her tips or something. I looked at her and simply explained that I had a question and she was answering it for me. She looked embarrassed and said«Oh» and walked away. This set the tone for a debacle of an evening at this place. Drinks were gross and didnt even taste or look the same as an identical one ordered(please see pictures of what were supposed to be Long Island Ice Tea’s– to this minute we have NO idea what we were actually served!!) and the food was disgusting and very low quality. I ordered the Lobster Fisherman(lobster, butter with a cracker crust on top) and the lobster tasted like sardines so much so I almost got sick. It smelled so bad. I brought it back to the kitchen and refused to eat anything further other than the bread I had finally received of which upon getting ready to leave was handed a bill for $ 4.28 for. Yes, even though I returned my dinner and expressed discontent, they still charged me for the piece of bread… Another person in our party found a huge piece of plastic in her food(see picture posted) and another person in our party after ordering off the«Special Menu $ 16.99 entrees) was charged $ 19.98 instead.(see picture attached) They also took it upon themselves to add a 20% gratuity to each bill and did not allow us, the patrons to tip as we felt necessary. Really bad experience and I do NOT recommend this place at all.

This place is a freaking disaster do not waste your time! I brought relatives here from out of town and I was embarrassed!!! nothing that we ordered was good! and I mean nothing! This is so disappointing because that restaurant has been dormant for so long and When it finally opened up we were so excited because it’s close by, boy oh boy were our hopes misplaced.

Decided to drop in for some appetizers. I got a cup of french onion soup, which was delicious. Perfect. Abner got a cup of chili and he really enjoyed that as well. Don’t bother with the $ 2.99 peel and eat shrimp. Clam fritters were tasty, but I don’t think I even saw a clam in there. We were not completely disappointed. Looks like they added more things to the menu too. I agree with another poster, please have that carpet cleaned!

Ran out of Ginger Ale, ran out of Clam Bellies, Fish & Chips were really greasy, and I had the thinnest Clam Strips ever! The atmosphere inside was great — too bad the food wasn’t.

food is inconsistent at best, rude managers and poor customer service. Charged almost $ 30.00 for 2 fish and chip plates. Received no cole slaw and chowder we ddint even order. The waitress argued and insisted we ordered chowder and no refun was made for the watered down«stuff» they call chowder. They advertise the plates as $ 9.99 but they definitely dont charge that amount. Will never go back… Itz no wonder they are always dead!!!

Avoid at all costs! Went there on a Friday night and the place was almost empty… never a good sign for a restaurant. We ordered some stuffed quahogs($ 5.99), and they were an absolute disgrace; dry, boring, and flavorless. We also ordered«Mikey’s Blue», which is essentially an overcooked, dry version of chicken cordon bleu; terrible. They offer a special where you order an entrée and get a «second helping» for free; DONOTORDERTHIS! The second«helping» is embarrassing and ridiculously small. The place has a nice décor, but the food and service are FAR below typical standards.

Hubby HAD to go here for the all-you-can-eat fish(which I believe they have available every day). We loved the décor – very colorful, bright, clean, open – the tables were adorable(you’ll have to go now, cuz i’m not tellin’ you any more about them!) :) Our waitress was fabulous and the menu was pretty extensive(but we were there for all-you-can-eat, if you recall.) Free pita chips with a couple sauces to start – pretty tasty. Hubby ordered the fish(choice of 2 breading types) and I ordered the chicken kabob – one of four all-you-can-eat chicken dishes also available. The fish was very good, but the chicken was so nasty I couldn’t eat it.(Note: I am NOT a picky person, and I do NOT make a habit of returning dishes!) But I seriously couldn’t stomach this – it’s like they grilled the chicken and then smothered it with a very strong vinegar dressing… I can not stress how strong the vinegar was – my husband even commented on the smell when it came to the table. I must admit the chicken was tender though… so if vinegar is your favorite flavor, by all means, order the chicken kabob. Our waitress graciously exchanged it for the chicken parmesan – a huge bowl of angel hair pasta topped with a huge breaded chicken breast, mozzarella and marinara. I would have given the place a higher rating, but the memory of the vinegar chicken stays with me. Would I go back? Yep:)

Hit or miss… The food is either awesome or terrible depending on the chef for the night. Great range of menu items.
