I just read 1 of the google reviews and some guy Arthur used «pricey» and «3 $» in the same sentence. Ha ha cheap bastard. Anyway, I’ve loved the hot dogs from here for as long as I remember … And I could afford them with my money earned as a papergirl so their not «pricey» lol

For a quick and cheap lunch, this is the place to go. When Abner hankers a dog, this is where we go. He likes the linguica dog. Since I’m not into hot dogs that much, I usually get something else… like the chicken salad sandwich or a stuffed quahog.

Fantastic hot dogs! Business is located right next door to a funeral company but when you’re their you don’t even notice. $ 5 can completely satisfy you and your friend at Gary’s Best they have picnic tables out back which aren’t the worst but certainly not the best but hey you’re at a hot dog stand enjoy the experience!

Best local hot dog place in the city. Friendly staff, great outdoor tables. Great price. Favorites include: works w/celery salt, cheese dpg, chili dog, or combo cheese and chili. Plus they have coffee milk! Cash only.

I had the hankerin’ for a chili dog, so I asked my son-in-law where’s there a good place. He said Gary’s Best Hot Dogs, so I did. Igot a chili dog with straight onions, and then saw some stuffed quahogs out of the corner of my eye, so I ordered one of those too.
The dog was great & brought me back in time to all the dog shacks I used to go to in New Bedford. My chili dog was great, and I should have gotten too cause they were so good. And the stuffed quahog was a spicy one, It wasn’t that spicy though, but man, was it flavorful, especially with a couple slabs of butter melting on top of it.
If you want a great dog or tasty stuffed quahog, and you’re on Ashley Blvd., stop at Gary’s Best Hot Dogs.

This place is great hot dog joint. We were in the area from RI and decided to give it a try. It is not a RI Hot Wiener, but that is okay. You can get it dressed up to look like one if you like. So, you do have the ability to make your own and add all of the various toppings that you like. They were cheap as well. So they deal in volume and there was a line when we got there and one when we left.
If I am back in the area, I will find my way back.

I went there the other day and got 4 hot dogs with the works (mustard, relish, onions, and celery salt) for $ 3.60! You can’t beat the price and the super fast service! also one time i got a hot dog at 9am so they are open early!

I often find myself walking the dog right past gary’s best, and all of a sudden i am hungry. I think its like 80 cents for a hot dog with the works. There is always plenty of seating outside, but some of the picnic tables were not well designed. The proportions are all wrong. And I think they should of used a better substrate on the ground, the dog is not a fan of the wood chips. But hey, they are hot dogs and they are cheap, as they should be.

I used to live a block away from here, and sadly, I’ve only been like two or three times.
It’s like three bucks for a hot dog (with anthing on it) and another dollar fo a soda.
Go if you want something, but you can’t find anything chep!

Simple, cheap, and satisfying.
Seriously, $ 3 and some change for 3 hotdogs and a can of soda? Awesome. Will keep going when I’m in the area.
