This is exactly what downtown New Albany has needed; a comfortable neighborhood bar/restaurant with great food and friendly people. The outdoor space is amazing with a huge patio and sand volleyball courts. Inside, the staff were eager to tell us about the new menu, recommending specific appetizers and entrees. We tried the fried mashed potato balls and they were so good that our table of three ended up eating three orders of them. I tried the chorizo burger and it was a little too spicy for me. Those who like heat would probably love it. The restaurant is also Unilocal friendly, offering a check in offer and a deal. One of the staff even saw me take a picture of my burger and reminded me to check in for my offer. This is definitely one of my new favorites.

Excellent service and great food. Lamb burger was recommended by the bartender and it did not disappoint! Very good drink selection too!

I’ve been wanting to check this spot out since it changed to Fieldhaus. I live in New Albany and eat out by myself a lot so local and affordable are both at the top of my list. Literally two miles from my house. That’s pretty local. I wanted something a little on the lighter side so I got the Chicken Mole Tacos. Before tip it was under $ 10…that’s waaaay affordable. Let’s talk about these tacos… chicken, mole, ghost pepper jack cheese, beans, pico, habanero lime aioli, pickled onions. Light but still filling enough I could’ve eaten only one. I only interacted with my server but he was super friendly and gave me some suggestions of things he liked on the menu, even talked up the descriptions beyond how they were on the menu. Definitely a keeper for any restaurant. All in all I was impressed and will definitely be back.

Absolutely the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. It was our first visit to the local restaurant and it was amazing! I got the fish tacos, my husband had the chicken and waffles. We also split the beer cheese and pretzels appetizer. All extremely great and so affordable. Four fish tacos for just $ 9! Awesome! Also, the Coconut Stout was out of this world. Great service, love the atmosphere and décor. Great little place to play pool, darts, and yes I’m a volleyball player so the courts out back are an added perk. We will definitely return and recommend it. Anxious to return when it’s not so hot and sit outside.

Walked in an hour before they closed and sat down at the bar. I sat for 10 min while the apparent bartender played pool, he did walk by me a couple of times and looked at me with his phone to his ear. I left, won’t be back.

Friendly staff, good beer selection, and best of all, delectable food. I was in the area for a business trip and wanted to try some local beer. Friendly server gave us ample samples and I decided to go with Kentuky’s own Falls City Common beer. I highly recommend the beer and hickory smoked wings!

There have been many updates to the former JR’S pub. The food was great and so was the service. The tomato soup however was a little sweet. The environment however was great!

Everything was closed around our hotel. This place, too, was clearly shutting down. But they invited us in anyway – with a hearty«What you drinking?» I don’t know what kind of Twilight Zone mojo rolls around New Albany, but Fieldhaus seemed to rise out of the mist. If you find yourself in one of NA’s budget hotels, you’re going to need a stiff drink. This is the place.

Stopped in for a quick bite after a long day and stayed past quick. A home-grown draft list of Indiana breweries kept me on my barstool. I’m a stout girl(pun intended) and Bell’s Kalamazoo hit the spot. My girly dinner was the kale(fantastic) and ahi tuna wrap but my macho boyfriend ordered up a Philly cheesesteak and onion rings. We liked it all! Wish I didn’t need to lose 15 pounds or I’d stay and eat some more. I’ll wash it all down with a FC Hipster Repellent and call it a day, but I’ll be back.

So delicious. So friendly. Great food, music and craft beer. This place is a fantastic addition to the evolving downtown scene of New Albany. Bravo!
