WOW. After my second extraordinary experience at Tour of NC, I just had to write this review. The first time I went in there, it was in hopes that they’d fix my beach cruiser, and for a reasonable price. Not only was Casey super friendly, but they actually wound up charging me UNDER what the estimate was.
On my second visit, I arrived some 30 minutes before they opened, not knowing they didn’t open ’til 10. Not only did Duane (the super friendly owner) let me in early, but he took amazing care of me, explaining things in a way that was easy for me (a layperson) to understand. He and his kind wife made sage recommendations, got my repair done quickly, and had me on my way pronto.
I’ll be a customer for life. Bravo, Tour of Nevada City!

Took my dirt jumper mountain bike to get some adjustments and parts and had a great experience. Don’t go anywhere else to buy goods or get service on your bicycle. The best customer service for sure… For example there was a customer that had a stroke and needed a helmet for walking… The customer couldn’t get out of the car so the employee was taking them helmets to their car to try on. They made the whole transaction in the parking lot… That’s service!

Thank you for the customer service you provide. And for helping fit helmets for size. It was a nice surprise to get a discount on a replacement helmet after his helmet cracked in an accident.

We just moved here from Florida and we needed to get maintenance for our bikes (Cervelo, Fuji). My husband found this bike shop and I have to say we are extremely happy with the service we received! We picked up our bikes a week later and they remembered our name as we entered the shop! Top notch customer service! Plus my bike was taken care of very well! Super happy! We were informed of group rides on Mondays, I love that info. We will be coming back to purchase clothes etc… I highly recommend this friendly and knowledgeable bike shop!!!

I moved to Nevada City in the late 1970s, and Tour of Nevada City has been my family bike shop all of the years since, outfitting 3 kids and we parents several times over during the years. After a bout of neurosurgery and recovery, I recently was blessed with the opportunity to be fitted for a new Specialized road bike at this welcoming shop. Once again, I entrusted the expert fitting of Duane and the ongoing great sales relationship with Connie, Kurt, and Larry. This shop is a wonderful asset for Nevada County, and an example of why local businesses can provide their community a very caring, unique, professional, and trusting service. «Cudos» to all at T of NC, and I cannot more highly recommend this shop to cyclists of all venues for new sales, trustworthy repair, or for answers to the most mundane cycling questions. You are always made to feel welcome at this business where great service is everyday practice.

The crew at Tour Of Nevada City Bicycle shop are GREAT! Always friendly and looking to help the moment you walk through the door, the staff has provided nothing but top notch service for my every visit! I swear I purposely break things so I can have an excuse to swing by the shop. Highly recommend!

Tour of Nevada City is amazing. Recently went in to purchase 2 new bikes for my husband and I, the staff spent plenty of time to explain our options and help us pick out the perfect bikes. When our bikes arrived we each were custom fitted to our bikes to make sure that the bike was adjusted just perfect for us. Great experience.

I have been here multiple times and always leave feeling like someone has gone the extra mile to help. There is a reason why Nevada City is so incredible, and it’s not just beauty and uniqueness you find here, it’s people like them that make all the difference in the world! Stop here if you want to go to a really awesome, little gold-​mine of a bike shop. My husband gets all of his maintenance done here and never once has there been a delay. It’s always quick and they make sure to have your bike back pronto. They have been very helpful when it comes to special orders, including returning a pair of shoes 3 times determined to help get the perfect ones! Instead of hating us for being a big nuisance, they called us to set up an appointment with the shoe rep to get things right. Not service you find often unless you are paying to be a priority. Also, I must mention the awesome cycling shoes I scored there for 50%off! That truly made my day! They will assist you finding people/​person to ride with or maybe just some good local advice if needed. There are kids toys in a basket which is something I appreciate very much incase I need to buy myself some extra time. Parking is directly in front of the large glass windows of the building so it’s safe to leave your bike on the top and get what you need no sweat. But do use caution when backing out, traffic can be sudden and hard to see.

I was looking for a way to ship my bike cheaply for a move, and these folks kindly helped me out with a bike box gratis and found the wrench I needed in no time at all. Friendly, knowledgeable people here.

I went in here to get a flat tire fixed on my lunch break and they were incredibly friendly and helpful. In addition to fixing my tire they, gave the bike a quick check up and made some minor adjustments for my height. After all that I got out for only $ 10 and in about 30 minutes.
Will definitely be going here for all my bike needs.

Great staff. Helpful, friendly. One guy even went back at night to get my bike ready for me on time. If not for Dwayne and Connie, there would be no Nevada City Bike Race. Best bike shop in the county.

When in Nevada City area, this is the best bike shop around. They’ll have what you need for both mountain biking or road riding. Check with them and you might be able to catch a strenuous group ride in the summer, or get maps, rent a bike and find your own way.

Great Store. The only place to go to get service, maps, tips, and a free map of fun rides in the area. Keep up the good work!

This is a full-​service bike shop. The owners are hands-​on, and good citizens of the community. I recommend this place without reservation.
