How long does it take to make a Greek bowl? The food is not worth the horrendous wait. The customer service is horrible, they just don’t care. I won’t be going back. I should have listened to others and avoided this place.

Super easy breezy with a bit of wait… I love the rice bowls and the juice bar. Very funky but it works well.

The best vegetarian food in all Nevada city! Also they have by far, the best smoothies in the county! If you look it up, make sure to check it out, Fudenjuice!!!

Everything I’ve ever had here is great and they are so nice. Love the Stomach Smoother smoothie; always tasty and it keeps well for an extra day in the fridge. The Greek bowl is soooo tasty as is the Greek wrap. I get the mini wrap and it’s plenty. Cool inside during the summer; nice on the covered porch and dog friendly.

Well, I’m between a 4 and 5 stars on this — it is not gourmet by any means, but honestly, for under $ 10 you will get a really good, fresh, wholesome meal. You can find gluten free, vegan, etc here — and even for those who aren’t so into that lifestyle, the food is good. And there is plenty of it! The place is not fancy — looks like an old trailer, but the food is good. And they serve a lot of it — you won’t go away hungry. I got the Darryl — a combo of couscous, falafel, and green salad, smothered in Green Goddess dressing — a little too heavy on the dressing, but easy enough to push some of it aside. And it was great! Again, not fine dining, if you are expecting fancy, go somewhere else. But for a healthy, wholesome, quick meal to go, this is a great find!

I love Fudenjuce! Super healthy food at a reasonable price. The wraps are huge, more food than I want to eat in one sitting, so I usually get the mini-wrap, which is big enough for lunch. Service can be slow, so if you see a line be prepared to wait, it’s worth it.

I love this place it’s organic and has so many great vegetarian/vegan options. If you want simple & warm on a winter day I think the Kitchari & delicious Chai are best. The smoothies & juices have lots of variety. I would eat here any day so many great healthy options if that’s your flow!

Pretty tasty vegetarian food, though it is kinda pricey. They serve a nice side salad with the sandwiches with that Green Goddess dressing… YUM The Smoothies are definitely a reason to visit. Some times they get slammed and lunch can take a long time, so plan accordingly.

Excellent earth friendly food! I recently decided to turn vegetarian, and happened upon this place. My very non vegetarian family in a supportive bid joined me here. The kid who’s used to in-n-out’s reluctantly got the soy burger. The husband went for a spinach tortilla Cali wrap. I got the loaded falafel and hummus middle eastern wrap. We also ordered juices — the lime and lemon, beet and ginger, carrot and orange. Everything was simply fantastic! So fresh, tasty, my mouth was bursting with a garden of flavors. Husband was mostly satisfied but he’s not a complainer. I tried his wrap, and felt it needed some salt, but again, it was fresh and flavorful too. We had a slice of the banana bread and I can’t believe that it was vegan?! So yummy! The biggest hallelujah was Ofcourse, when the son wiped off the burger. He even muttered that he enjoyed it and didn’t need to harm an animal. Proud parent, here! Thank you, fudenjuce. Your recipes made our stomach full and our heart sing! I hope you go completely commercial and get a 100 branches so one can open close to us in the South Bay. But I have a feeling these guys are content in their cosy corner and we will be visiting them soon!

I have driven by this place many a times. Well I finally stopped to give it a try and I’m very glad I did. I ordered the Mexicana and a Razzle my Dazzle shake. The shake came out first in a giant glass mug and it was amazing! My Mexicana on a spinach wrap was to die for and don’t even get me started on their green goddess dressing. I’m curious if they sell that by the bottle because I would so buy that. Overall, I’m definately up for a return visit. I have my eye on the southwestern next time around!

Fudenjuce! Get it? Say it slow. No, slower. Food and juice! BAH! Once you get past the entertainment the name provides(hours in my case) you rest your eyes on the exterior of the restaurant. Nope. Not my kind of place. Looks pretty beat and not well kept. I certainly wouldn’t think twice about stopping if I were driving by. HOWEVER, my girl said it was good and she has an impeccable record. Let’s give this place a shot, shall we? We dismount from the bicycles and are immediately subjugated to an unpleasant smell from one of the patrons ordering outside. There are some strange clientele. Do not be dissuaded though, it’s part of the experience. Approaching the outside order window we scramble to decide what we want from the extensive menu of organic dishes, juices, and smoothies. I cave under the pressure and order what my girl suggested; Middle Eastern burrito with Green Goddess tahini dressing, falafels, and hummus. As well as a Green Monster smoothie which includes all sorts of delicious fruits. I take a sip of the smoothie… mmmmm! I gnaw on the burrito… hnnggggg! This place is legitimate. Fudenjuce may not look like much but the food that comes out of it is really fresh and really delicious. So good I wanted to go back the next day despite staying nowhere near it. At first I was put off by the appearance and odd smelling clientele but it’s a dichotomy of the unpleasant first impression and the lasting deliciousiosity of the food that just makes you appreciate the food that much more. After all, what really matters about restaurants besides how good the food is?

Love the cleaver name — Fudenjuce! It makes me want to keep saying it over and over with a fake German accent! Fudenjuce is a little hippie shack that serves organic, healthy vegetarian fare in Nevada City. We decided to try out Fudenjuce after spending a day at nearby farm sanctuary, Animal Place. We came on a sunny day and the weather was perfect for sitting outside; which is the only option at Fudenjuce. You order at the window and have a seat on their outdoor patio with a beautiful painted mural of a landscape with vegetables next it. I adored the cute hippie-like atmosphere. The menu was pretty overwhelming as they had so many smoothies and juices to choose from along with wraps, salads, bowls, bagels and sandwiches. The items can easily be made vegan by omitting the dairy that is added to it. I decided to order one of the specials on the board which was BBQ sweet potato tacos(without cheese) and the #8 smoothie which I believe had papaya, mango and ginger(without yogurt). The tacos came out on a crispy tortilla; kinda reminded me of a tostada. The tacos were pretty good and I also liked the side salad with green goddess dressing that came with it. My smoothie was also pretty tasty; doesn’t even need yogurt! If I’m ever out in the Nevada City area again I would love to come back and try some more of their healthy and delicious food.

I know what you’re thinking… what a funny-looking name! Fudenjuce is actually pronounced«food-and-juice», but in whichever totally silly accent you’d like to say it in. My version sounds Dutch or Germanic, like some blonde woman twirling around a mountain singing about the hills being alive with the sound of music. This is a cute little hippie shack of good eats and drinks. The smoothie list alone is enough to completely salivate over. I am a nerd for the organic juices, and the prices here are so incredibly reasonable. I got a huge 16 oz. pressed juice for five bux and some change. They even serve it in a beer mug, a stein. That little touch really elevated the quality of my experience, and will always bring a smile to my face. I’m not a total teetotaler, but I am trying to curb my boozing, so this place is a great way to make smart dietary decisions while still feeling like a badass. I ordered the Pestacos(pesto tacos), sans cheese making them vegan, and a Ginger Rogers juice(apple, beet, ginger, lime). The juice was so refreshing and delicious. The tacos were served on a deceptively crispy shell with loads of creamy vegan pesto, yummmm! I loved the Green Goddess dressing served next to the salad, as well. It’s just a crying shame that Fudenjuice is two hours from where I live(pouty face). If you are in the neighborhood, I highly recommend their food. They serve up healthy delights that will make you feel happy and glowing.

Odd name, delicious results! If you are ever in the Nevada City/Grass Valley area you MUST detour to try Fudenjuce. Seriously incredible foods, epic proportions, huge menu variety, and fun atmosphere– even though it’s all based out of a shake-like ordering window. Vegetarian based food but packs a huge punch of filling and flavorful ingredients. The wraps are incredible– MUSTORDER: Middle Eastern Burrito; filled with organic couscous, fresh tomatoes, black olives, baby spinach, Green Goddess tahini dressing, organic falafels, and TONS of hummus. Make sure to order with the Green Goddess dressing and hummus! Anything on their menu is great– the smoothies are killer– and tons of them. Coffee– pretty decent. Salads– fun and yummy! I try to drive up here for a wrap every time I’m in the area– and that means going out of my way by 1.5 hours– but totally worth it!

This was my favorite place to pick up a bite to eat back when I was a mail carrier for the lovely Nevada City. Please ignore the fact it looks like a literal Snack Shack, like you might find up N. Bloomfield there. The smoothies(ALL of them), and the Greek style wrap were my favs. It’s definitely worth the occasional trip up the hill from Sacramento. That’s how bad my cravings get sometimes. Vegan, Vegetarian, and organic options aplenty, with friendly, efficient service. Take it to go, or sit outside in the shade. A+ !

I’ve been hiking and visiting the Yuba River, Grass Valley, and Nevada City for years. Never knew about this place. We found it on Unilocal and decided to try it out. It’s in a location that I would never guessed. Thanks Unilocalers! When we got here I was surprised. It’s a whole in the ground. I almost was going to leave and eat in town. Don’t let the small shack deceive you. They put all the investment and effort into the food. They serve some of the best organic vegetarian options I have ever had. In particular the Vegan soups and wraps. This is easily the best healthy food place in the area. They also keep the place pretty clean. Don’t let first impressions lead you into town for worse options. Give them a try and let me know what you think!

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate having Fudenjuce just down the street from my work and home. I turn to their freshly prepared drinks and dishes when I have had a long day at work and don’t have the energy to make a healthy meal for myself. Juices: try the immune enhancer for a real quick boost. I feel it working its magic right away. Oh how I love the way the parsley stands out. Rice bowls: You can’t beat the Happy Fun. Bits of fresh tomatoes and spinach… yummy A whole meal in itself. Shakes/smoothies: I have a hard time pinning down a favorite but I do believe a green monster can help brighten any day. Wraps: Morning Glory mini wrap, is a good sized meal for me. Packed full of egg, cheddar and spinach. And it even comes with a side salad with their to die for green goddess dressing. Mmm! I go for the full size when I’m sharing with a friend. The great thing about fudenjuce is how friendly the staff is. I wish more places had a staff as fun and talented as this one. I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience. I can easily give them five stars for taking care of my needs and providing some of the best food options in Nevada County. I just can’t get enough!
