Cute lil park close to the beach. There are always ducks for entertainment! The loop around has different exercise stations for pull ups and such, but I don’t think Ive ever seen someone use them… maybe once… an elderly man working on his calves. The park also has a playground, basketball court, tennis, volleyball, and a picnic area.
I have so many memories as a kid having and attending birthday parties here! I specifically remember a dinosaur theme party when I was going through my prehistoric phase.
The best part is right around the corner is a farmers market on Saturdays! It’s amazing and so important to support local farmers and businesses! I highly recommend the market.

One of the many great parks that can be found in the Jacksonville area. It has activities for the whole family. Jarboe park has three tennis courts, 20 «Fit-​Trail» stations, two playgrounds (one is for toddlers), various types of swings, numerous picnic areas, and even a small basketball court for elementary and middle school aged children. The Southeast corner of this park is the home of the Beaches Green Market and community garden. The market is open on Saturdays from 2 PM to 5 PM. As you can see, this park has pretty much everything a family could want in a park.

I stopped here to investigate the park as a future site to shoot some of my photos at. There’s a pond and a small playground for the kids and a basketball court to use as backdrops, so I may use it someday when the loght is right.

Love the walk around the lake. Take some bread along and feed the ducks.
On Saturday there is a farmers mkt from 2 – 6 I believe. I noticed the are special swings for handicapped children which I thought was wonderful.
It’s not usually too hot here since its near the ocean because I’ve always enjoyed a nice breeze as I walk around the lake.

Jarboe Park is not as outlandish as some parks, but it is clean and comfortable with playground equipment for this kids and a place to sit for the parents. It also has a pond, so bring the heels of your bread loaves to share with the ducks. I don’t think fishing is permitted and I don’t think you would want to. Last week the pond was low and showed its need of rain.
The tennis courts are satisfactory and the basketball court is well kept and has the paint on the court and nets on the goals. Plenty of seating around it too.
The park is located on the corner of 3rd street and Beaches Chapel on Florida Blvd.
