We came in from nearly 2 hours away for an event. We rented a room at the hotel located across the street from this place. It was during a bad storm so we walked over there, and it was extremely dark in there. We ordered our food at around 6:30, and we didn’t get it until just a little before 8:00. There wasn’t even an apology from anyone on the hour and a half wait. The place was busy, but no one else was ordering hot food except for us. The food was also bad and my burger was disgusting.

This is a very small, local bar. The chicken was excellent, but my husband’s burger was just ok. The waiter was attentive(weeknight, so only 1 person working). There are several other local bars that are much better. They REALLY need to fix their parking lot!

The service here is always bad. I have only been here twice and it is obvious that the regulars get faster service. The only good thing about this place is that it has a convenient location and the food(burgers) arent too bad compared to other places in the area. This is still a last resort place.

A great Northwoods hangout. Frequented by locals, Friar Tucks is a fun place to go. It’s a dive bar but then, who cares. The food is great and the prices very reasonable. The Old Fashioned is one of the best. Thursday night steak night is great and very tasty. Really enjoy the fish fry as well. The burgers are amazing! It’s cash only but they do have an ATM. Service is typical for the area and slow however they are much nicer than most other places. Most seating is high tops which can be a challenge for smaller kids. Overall, it’s a fun place with great food and great prices.

After a day of boating, canoing or camping, Friar Tuck’s is the best place to stop for a delicious meal. The broasted chicken will have you dreaming about it every day!
