An experience that is hard to describe and only one can truly feel the power of peace in the nature when you stay at the vineyard. The Glamping(glamours camping) experience was beyond words. You make your arrangements with the owner Barb and she also will greet you, provide excellent tips throughout wine tasting and show you the land. The Glamping tents host a bed, furniture inside and outside the tent, a warm electric blanket and a heater. The tents zip open and close and offer a great view of the vines. Throughout your stay you can order food through barb and it’s beyond amazing. The estate has a variety of cute areas to sit and have a glass of wine while enjoying the scenic view. Glamping is an experience that needs to be reserved in advance and is well worth every minute!

SVE is a beautiful venue and it just keeps getting better year by year. Great selection of both Nebraska and other wines at all price points. The food is prepared by their in house Chef Sarah. Wood fired pizzas, cheese and often a special. The bungalows are clean and very charming. Bungalows all furnished with real beds and antique furniture. I have been to several events in the hall and it is a great party or wedding site

I had my bridal shower in the new hall they have built and it was absolutely beautiful, whether you use the indoors or the patio surrounding the hall. The owners are wonderful, accommodating and there to make your day special. Guests who rent space have access to a full size commercial kitchen and bar. It’s a beautiful place to hang out and guests are very impressed with this hidden gem. Definitely worth a visit!

SVE is located in some beautiful country. We had our wedding there this year. Our wedding was beautiful because my husband and I had an amazing amount of support and quick thinking family members, as well as our own motivation to have a largely DIY wedding. If this is your style, this might be a good fit for you to hold an event with them. Some of my personal tips for being successful with this venue: Ensure your contract is solid and in writing before a deposit is paid and make sure you know in advance about all the extra charges, as there are some involved(such as renting water glasses from them, parking attendant, etc.) If you’re on a set budget make sure and be open about that. They might try and work with you. Set up and clean up were not included in the rental fee, which is currently at $ 2500. You could pay extra for their staff to do it for you. What was included for us were some special arrangements to use their kitchen, a ceremony area(that we also had to set up ourselves to avoid extra charges), and use of the banquet hall. We also got linens included. I would not recommend use of their linens, bring in your own if at all possible. Ours were left in the corner of the banquet hall wrinkled and had bugs and stains on them, which thankfully my family members were able to cover up with decorations. SVE has a discount relationship with a reputable vendor in Omaha, so please consider using them. The vineyard itself will remain open for business, which was very clearly communicated to us and is totally understandable– consider bringing your own signage to delineate where your event is happening to prevent interruptions by their staff directing customers. All guests of SVE were respectful and friendly to us and our wedding party. They do have an in house system for music for those who don’t want to bring a DJ or band– it was non-functional the night of our wedding. Thankfully we had speakers and laptops from the ceremony so we got those down for the reception. The staff was not able to help us solve the music problem. The family that owns the vineyard have several domestic animals that live there, because the vineyard is also their home. You’ll want to discuss your willingness to have them around your event/children and address any potential safety issues with that. They were open to talking to us about that, which was really nice of them– unfortunately a child at our ceremony ended up getting bit by one of the dogs. Not a serious injury, just startling for her. Check and make sure you know their event schedule for the day following yours– a wedding was scheduled to begin less than 12 hours after we were told we needed to be out of the facility which made for a little bit of a time crunch for us/our helpers, but just required some good coordination on our parts to get it done. You will need a lot of willing friends and family to help you! Additionally, arrange payment for the bar bill(If this will be part of your event) ahead of time and make sure it is itemized and presented before you authorize any charges or any charges are made on your behalf. I used email to communicate everything about the event with Mrs. Slattery so that I could easily refer back to the agreements about the day. Good practice for event planning anyway. Like I said, the vineyard is really built in a beautiful location and our pictures turned out gorgeous! Feel free to contact me for vendors in the area that will travel to SVE if that’s where you end up for your event!

This seemed like a nice place. But they had some dumb rules. Like for 1, during events they don’t do wine tastings apparently. But you’d never know that from their website. I repeat. They had no tastings going on in their tasting room. And 2, on a Saturday night they opt to not serve any cheese. This is a vineyard that does not have cheese. Think about that. We had brought our own, and after buying their pizza, cupcakes, and house wine… Essentially every course offered we were asked to put the cheese we brought away. No cheese? Goodbye.

This is the first time I had ever heard the magical words, glamour camping. Give me a tent with a full sized bed, electricity and furniture and I am totally down for some camping! And Slattery Vintage Estates does it WELL. I don’t even know where to start! We got settled into our little tent. There is a room behind them all to use the restroom. There is also a little patio with chairs to sit and read or write. A dresser and a little table. After some time in our bungalow, the Whiperpool, we checked out the rest of the property. Between the main house, where the wine and food are, and the tents, are rows of grapes(no house wine yet, at least not when we were there), lots of places to walk around, beautiful landscaping, a little pond, a cute little dog named Alfred. We went on a night that they had entertainment(so glad we planned it that way), music by Deja Blue, and after a little wine tasting, purchased a glass and a shrimp, alfredo, garlic wood grilled pizza and listened to the music. There were several people their(some who were not staying) enjoying wine and the music and as the night wound down, we made our way back to our little tent. I will say the majority of guests were older or couples but my friend and I still had a good time just hanging out and relaxing. We never really felt out of place. I kind of felt privileged that I got to go to my tent while others had to leave. It was very quiet for the most part. Even when we were in our tent and music was going on. We were far enough away it wasn’t bothersome but not too far away, that we dreaded walking or felt unsafe. The next morning you have the option of enjoying breakfast or not, which you pay for when you book your room. DOTHIS! The in house chef, Sarah, prepared the most wonderful spread. The first round was strawberry yogurt with granola. Second round included a quiche and french toast stuffed with cream cheese and orange marmalade or something. With a fresh flower to boot! And if that wasn’t enough, we were also treated to apple turnovers. The presentation was gorgeous. We sat together with a few other guests and got to know each other. It was fantastic! Man, writing this review makes me want to go back so bad! And I’m since married. This would be a great way to relax with a spouse as well.

We had an enjoyable time staying the night in bungalow # 4. The bed was comfortable enough though a little noisy when moving around. It sure beats sleeping on an air mattress. The bungalows come complete with a lamp, dresser, fan, coffee maker, electrical outlets, a small table, and chairs. On the front porch, there were two adirondack chairs. It’s nice that the tents are raised off the ground so as to avoid any brushes with varmints. The margherita pizza was good but far from the best I’ve ever had. Maybe slightly overpriced at $ 15 but enjoyable nonetheless. We also had the chips and queso and salsa. Both the queso and salsa were good but the chips were from a bag. I’m not the biggest wine fan but my wife and her friend are so they split three bottles from what looked like a fairly impressive list of local wines. I enjoyed the selection of beers on tap. As a result of the liquor license, no outside alcohol is allowed. No worries though as they allow you to purchase bottles of wine or six packs of beer to take back to your bungalow. All-in-all, this is an enjoyable place for a change of pace. I recommend it for anybody that enjoys camping or likes to spend an evening outside.

This is a nice little get away from the bustle and hustle. Very much worth the short drive out to the country side. A fabulous little place for a bottle, snack, and walk in the fields.

This place was packed when we went and greatly understaffed for that amount of business. The wine was good but that tasting portion was very small and didn’t allow you to really taste the wine. They were also out of half of their wine selection. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They also allow children so be prepared for a few screaming little people.

Delicious pizzas, especially liked the hamburger and jalapeño pizza. They offer carry out, so take a moment to explore the grounds and take home a pizza.
