This campground in the Tillamook State Forest is well secluded, although you are almost always in sight of your neighbors. It is a few steps from the Nehalem River and there is a trail along the river. It is a mix of RV /Trailer back-in spots and tent sites, each with a picnic table and fire ring. The toilets are chemical and the water is supplied by well water with an antique pump. I had enough water so I didn’t try it. No showers. There is a permanent camp host to answer questions and sell firewood. The entire site is nestled in old growth firs and most spots are well shaded. In summer the camp fills up on Weekends, and by Friday afternoon is likely to be full, and the camping is first-come first-serve. We had a wonderful time and all the campers were quiet and respectful, mostly families with kids. A great place to camp out and unwind. See their website for details on fees.
