Golden croissant have always done a great job on making our cakes! The past few cakes we’ve ordered from here were delicious and beautiful. I’ve also tried other items on the menu such as kolaches, strawberry Danish(my favorite), cookies(pecan cheesecake is the best), and sandwiches/croissants. They also deliver/cater depending on the occasion and how much you order. There are so much more on the menu that I’d love to try! The owner and staff are also very helpful and friendly, I will be making more trips here(:

I would like to preface by saying that I love croissants. I find every flaky morsel to be wonderful. However, for whatever reason I have spent the past nine years of my time in this area not knowing what this restaurant had to offer. Luckily, I happened in here the other day. Let me tell you, my life had never had purpose until a tasted the wonderment that is the ham and cheese croissant. You may wonder how a simple croissant sand which could possibly be so good. I must admit, I don’t know. I can only assume that angels bless each croissant as they are created by the masters behind the counter. If you have a soul, you will love this place.

Absolutely the best croissant I’ve ever had. I grew up here, and every time both me and my brother come home for a visit, this is usually the first stop on our way in and the last stop as I’m leaving. The croissants are light and fluffy, and the cookies are fantastic. Their breakfast croissants are delicious, too. My favorite is the cinnamon one. Lunch is very reasonably priced for as good as they are.

It’s a cute little place. After reading reviews on Unilocal my gf and I wanted to try this place next time we were in town. I had the chicken almond and my gf had the tuna croissant. Overall it was eh. I was expecting the croissant to be flakey, buttery and soft but it was stale and seems old. We bought some cookies to eat later on and it was okay but nothing to come back for. The staff were nice.

Forgot to mention they have delicious cakes. We just had a strawberry cake with strawberry slices in the filling. Delicious and priced ridiculously cheap. Give them a try.

I remember going here for pastries with my mom when I was a kid, though I think it’s changed owners since then. It’s still just deliciously sinful as I remember. The shrimp sandwich is my lunch favorite… it’s perfect on toasty French bread. Their bacon, egg, and cheese croissants are a quick, yummy breakfast. When I’m indulging a little, any of the pastries are perfect to satisfy my sweet tooth, but my favorite is still the éclair. One the best local businesses in Mid-County!

This bakery is limited in what it offers, but what they do serve is exquisite. The croissants are buttery and flaky. I recommend the cherry or fruit/cream cheese combinations. For savory, try a breakfast croissant or the chicken salad. The atmosphere is very relaxed, perfect for catching up with old friends. Recently they also added a frozen yogurt bar that younger guests would find fun.

I honestly don’t want to go three stars here, but I’m gonna give them the benefit of the doubt and just say my bad experience is uncommon… don’t get me wrong there were definitely some things about this place I liked… the price was great and the croissants were good… but everything else was borderline awful… the frozen yogurt was disgusting and the muffins seemed to have been sitting up a fortnight… like a fucking brick… the cookies were okay but I was so bitter about the muffins and froyo that I didn’t even want to eat them… I’ll return if I’m not paying.

The Golden Croissant is by far the best«quick» breakfast in Nederland and probably the Golden Triangle. No, its not a sit down restaurant but compare it to say Donut Palace or any breakfast place with a drive through and you have a winner. I was first impressed with the prices, which are without a doubt reasonable. You can get more food, made with quality ingredients, that’s twice as good, than you can at McDonalds for the same price. I actually would advise them to raise prices cause I’d pay it. Anyway, the food is delightful, very clean tasting and very fulfilling. Any of the sandwiches, as well as the cream cheese croissant are excellent. I can’t attest for lunch as I’ve never had it but will soon for sure. Another highpoint was the laid back, no rush, talkative staff that made exploring the menu and ordering very pleasant. Though the one negative of this place was the interior. By no means is it bad or disgusting, but I found it very cluttered and a tad messy. Let’s be fair though, it was just before the end of the breakfast rush so I doubt they had time to clean in between orders. Overall The Golden Croissant is a great place for breakfast if you don’t want to sit down. I’d highly recommend anything on the menu and the prices are extremely fair. You really can’t go wrong here, in fact I just decided I’m stopping here for breakfast in the morning.

French bread. Fissured, crispy crust. The heart is splendid, rich wheat and yeast flavor, light as a cloud but, substantial as a cloud burst. I drive in from Beaumont a couple times a month to buy as many mini-loaves as they will permit. The bread freezes fine and some we freeze slathered with herbed garlic butter. Not a speck goes to waste. What remains goes into a Zip-Lock as bread crumbs for coatings.

I can’t believe this place doesn’t have more reviews, maybe Nederland just doesn’t realize how lucky they are to have a place like this. I’d highly recommend Golden Croissant for either breakfast or lunch. Their kolaches, pastries, and especially their croissant breakfast sandwiches are amazing. Their lunch items are really good as well, but I usually only eat there for breakfast. The prices are very reasonable as well.

The Golden Croissant is highly recommended if you’re looking for either a flavorful breakfast or light lunch in the Nederland area. Of particular note are the almond croissants which are robust, flaky, and natural tasting. The Golden Croissant tends to be more subtle than say Rao’s, which in my experience makes me feel near diabetic at times. Also recommend is the French bread which more than holds its own against some the best Houston has to offer.

Working on a construction site there is a lot of give and take and sometimes you owe people favors. Get your mind out of the gutter! Favors like a box of kolaches. Another co-worker brought in a box of kolaches from here one day and after eating several, I knew when it was my turn to buy the goods, Golden Croissant would be the place to go. The opened at 6:00 am sharp already for business. I was slightly worried that I would have to wait for the kolaches to finish baking, but that wasn’t the case. I ordered a dozen kolaches and a dozen ham & cheese rolls. Upon first inspection they are huge! No mini kolaches here, they take an entire hand to hold. Secondly, they weight a ton. A combination of the pound of butter and a pound of ingredients must account for all of their bulk. I nearly needed a backpack to carry 2 dozen to my car. I wasn’t exactly sure how much they would cost until the end, but a simple gesture of appreciation like this is priceless. While some may have gawked at the price of $ 2.30 per kolache, they were worth it.
