C&G’s Grill and Bar

We visited C&G’s Grill and Bar located at the old Railroad Depot building site in Nebraska City on 11÷3÷2012. Searching for ‘The Depot’ on the web took us to a past owner with an incorrect phone number but we persisted in looking for it. Recently opened, they have a lunch and dinner menu with a basic menu including appetizers, variety of sandwiches accompanied by fries or salad, and dinner entrees including steaks, chicken and seafood (shrimp, crablegs, fried catfish). Menu for children included.
We tried the grilled chicken sandwich and the chicken philly sandwich. Both were served hot and tasted very fresh right off the grill. The fries were exceptional. Coffee was great and served with real half and half for creamer (my preference for creamer). Great service and friendly staff.
The building is very charming and then new proprietors have put a lot of work into making this a pleasant dining experience. The owner is currently awaiting the liquor license final approval and will then have a grand opening. Give it a try! We will be back for a relaxing and great dinner again soon!
