I’ve been to this place a few time hoping for my experience to improve. The service is not great and it takes for ever to get a beer or a pizza. You’ll spend at least an hour plus just to get either. The bar there is no different. Even if the place has just a few people in it some how it still take a long time to sit down, eat or drink then leave. The pizza is average and a little salty.

Pizza made on demand but taste of that of the big chain restaurants. I would say it’s better than pizza hut but falls short on the fresh taste you may be wanting. Service was pretty good and I enjoyed the live band

This place is conveniently located near the bridge in Navarre Beach so we didn’t have far to drive when we needed a quick bite to eat on vacation. It’s mostly a bar that doubles as restaurant while the sun is up. This is evidenced by the«divey» feel and pool tables that greet you by the front entrance. All that aside, the pizza they serve up is hot, fresh and good. They also serve a wide variety of standard drinks and beers to go with it. We split a large«Top Line» pizza and a large«Meat Lovers» pizza among a party of 7 and still had a few slices to take home with us. They have a nice deck out back, but smoking is permitted in that area, so we chose to sit inside. They were setting up for live entertainment, but we didn’t stay to hear the band because we had children in our party and its a 21+ only venue after 10PM.

Second time here and most likely the last. The pizza is ok for the price. The Muffaletta Holi Boli was salty, doughy and otherwise bland. The beer was cold but the bartender was overwhelmed and uninterested in doing his job well. The music is loud and service is good when the place is not crowded. If crowded, expect a long wait for for everything. We even had to go track down a waitress to pay our bill and was then told that we had to find our waitress because none of the others could cash us out.

We had a party of 9. Food was marginal. Management was very unprofessional. They refused to remake 2 poorly made margaritas and sent the same drinks back to our table. Wow. We will not be back. It’s a shame but people will read this..

Food is decent. Pizza is a bit salty and crust too thick for my taste but not unforgettable. One big knock, when they have live music its toooo freaking loud! Literally can not here myself think. On a plus our waitress Abigail was awesome! It was her first night and she rocked it.

We had my husbands promotion party at Helen back Navarre last night over 30 people, 9 pizzas, many beers and sodas and have very high praise! They were very accommodating and we had amazing service-probably the best ever. Huge thank you to the manager and waitresses for making it an amazing night! Recommend going there for large parties, just be courteous and call ahead to let them prepare.

Below average food. Ok service. Horribly managed. Their place in Ft Walton beach is even worse. The cute name is their best thing.

The worsted service I have ever had in my life!!! My husband had to go get our pizza from the kitchen because our waitress was MIA! The bartender looked straight at our friend and ignored him to service some half dressed girls! The music is so loud you feel like you’re in a night club, not a pizza restaurant! I will never go back and I discourage others from going there on a regular basis!

First time ever to a Hellen Back Again restaurant. We went with a slightly large group of people. It took us 15 mins to be seated, large group, no worries there. When they seated us, the tables were dirty and the seats were sticky. It was unbelievable. Already a bad start. You’d think that they would assign us an experienced waitress. We were sadly mistaken. It took our waitress 40 mins to finally take our order! And after she took out order, it took another 30 mins to get it. I wanted the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. I wanted to make sure they had pepper jack cheese, they said no. So I asked for swiss cheese, again no. I asked what kind of cheese they use, and I was told American. First red flag, how can you offer people a Philly cheese steak sandwich and not use pepper jack or at the very least swiss? So then I went with their nachos. You can’t go wrong with nachos. AGAIN, I was wrong haha. The cheese on the edges were burnt. Granted the flavor was there for a traditional nachos so I can’t complain too much. My wife ordered their boneless buffalo chicken. Hers tool almost 45 mins to come out. When she got it and we looked at it, it looked like a kids meal chicken nuggets dipped in Buffalo sauce. On top of that, the food was painfully cold. We asked for a fresh batch and was told they would make sure it was fresh. We got another batch of the chicken nuggets 15 mins later. we both ate it and knew right away that they just threw it in the microwave becuase in 5 mins they were already cold. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had to endure when it comes to eating at a restaurant

My first time here and I really enjoyed the experience. It was a darker dinning room than I prefer. Staff was friendly and loved the view. Pizza was awesome but my only complaint is they line the pizza pan with sea salt before they cook it. It did make the crust too salty for my taste. I would recommend asking for no salt. I will return next time I come to Florida.

The pizza is so legit right now! First off thanks to Helen back again for sending us a free pizza coupon when we moved into town. That was the bananas! Next the pizza was actually spectacular. Fresh, hot, lots of toppings and garlicky. They had beer and lots of room to sit. We opted to sit outside which unfortunately ends up being where a lot of people go to smoke, but the view of the sound is spectacular. Plus it gave our little guy room to run!

We had a horrible experience here. Football everywhere, which was nice. Poor beer selection – few imports or microbrews. It took us 45 minutes to get nachos(that were were soggy and cold) and a sandwich(that was missing bacon). The waitress was nice at least. We will not come back here at our next Navarre trip. Save yourself some aggravation and find another sports bar nearby.

The food was descent but the drinks were really good and we had the most fun waitress«Nikki» that kept us entertained and provided good service. If you go, ask for her and tell her to entertain you, she will and you will have fun.

Helen Back Again(HBA) is a basic pizza/beer/nachos sports bar/restaurant. I’ve been to HBA in Navarre a number of times over the years. Plenty of TVs in the building; a good place to watch football on Saturdays and Sundays. From my experience, management is willing to promptly put on a game you want to watch on a nearby TV; something that is not true for a lot of places I’ve been to. The food is fairly basic; nothing to write home about. It’s generally good, but is, shall we say?, uninspired. The pizzas come in two sizes: 9″ and 16″ — nothing in between. The house nachos come in half-order and full-order sizes; the half-order should be enough for two people. Beer specials are usually of the Bud Light variety. Quality of service depends a lot on which waitress you get and how crowded is the restaurant. However, the service is generally good. I would consider HBA to be «family friendly,» but it’s more similar to Hooters(though the waitress are covered a little more) than it is to Cracker Barrel. It’s popular with the local military and 20-somethings. All in all, if you’re in the Navarre area I would recommend a visit to HBA.

I was in town on vacation with the wife and stopped in for a bite. It’s a sports bar atmosphere with several TVs on at the same time playing ESPN. The pizza was great. Full bar available.

Wanted something to nosh on before going to Pensacola. A lot of the places we wanted to try were either closed(Monday’s) or the register wasn’t working. Since Helen Back Again was on our way, decided to stop here. There were only a few patrons so we were able to get our order in right away. Decided on the boneless buffalo wings and a half order of nachos. The nachos were very tasty, but the boneless buffalo wings were just ok. They do offer military specials throughout the week, so might try them out another day. Plenty of parking.

First impression… LOUD. DJ keeps things rockin’. Second impression… cool place, mixture of ages. Third visual impression… Lots of TV(maybe 15 of them — all tuned to a variety of sports stations and live games.). Fourth visual … Love the College Team Banners hanging from the ceiling. Quick, bubbly, server. Brough drinks in very short order. Food: just fine: …Buffalo Wings(boneless) are really glorified Chicken nuggets… not crisp, but cooked through. Very nice sauce with a bit of heat(pretty standard… by most standards). …Vegetarian pizza smothered with veggies of all sorts(check their menu to see what they put on it). Crust could have been crisper, but I neglected to ask for well-done. Flavors were full and fresh. Several items on in-house menu that are not represented on website… so plan to have more of a choice when you dine here. All-in-all…good, high-energy, solid bar/restaurant with attentive staff and respectable prices for a beach bar.

This is review 666 and the theme of «Helen Back(Again)» couldn’t be more appropriate. Who is Helen? I can only think of Helen of Troy, Helen Keller, and some Helens named after their grandmothers who wanted to change their names. And why is she«back?» Did she leave the Redneck Riviera for a while and have a change of heart? Then it dawned on me — it’s a play on «hell and back again.» Face palm. It’s nice to hear that a person can actually leave hell! Though this is the kind of place I wouldn’t want to visit based on a cursory look, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Hungry and having crossed the Navarre Beach Bridge over the Santa Rosa Sound, I made a quick dash to a Dollar Tree and then looked for a seafood place. I checked out some places and they were spendy and/or too fried and regional. So, I saw this funky avocado colored building, with tacky wannabee Greek appendages, at which the parking lot was full. That was a good sign. And it looked back at the Navarre Beach Bridge and Santa Rosa Sound. That was a really good sign. This place is anything but shoehorned. It is large, noisy, and it breathes quite well. As for the atmosphere, it is, first and foremost, a sports bar. There are huge TV screens everywhere you look. There are huge flags of all the local universities hanging downward from the ceiling, given that this is the South and football reigns supreme. I was looking at the flags and, since the Gulf Coast is smack in the middle of all these, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, ‘Bama, Auburn, «Olé Miss,» and Louisiana State were represented. Unless I didn’t see it, Georgia Tech was not up there. Well, that’s a brain trust and not really a sports-oriented school. But why the hell was Boise State up there? Let’s get to the food. I didn’t know the lay of the land. So I went with«the Italian» — salami, pepperoni, capicola, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and vinaigrette dressing on a large hoagie roll. It came out quickly and it was large and tasty. Also, it was only $ 7.95. To that, I added a bottomless soft drink. The service was good. This place is «Dude and Dudette Central» in terms of the employees, with a lot of locals, of all ages, who come in here in groups, many of whom order pizza and beer. In short, this is an amped up version of the End Zone in Chico, CA, but in a bigger place and with more noise, a superb location, and a «beachier» and more regional atmosphere. I could eat here again. No problem.
