Turbo Transmission

I found this place through my old work, and the guys have always been very nice to me! I had my tranny rebuilt and they have made sure to take great care of me since! I’ve had to bring it back in twice due to the check engine light coming on and both times the guys only had my car for a few days and explained to me exactly what had happened (first time was a defective part from the factory, second time was something similar). I highly recommend this company! They are right off of the freeway too so it’s pretty simple to find.

My friend’s car left her stranded on the side of the road where the 125 ends and we called them and they came and towed her car within an hour! Great customer service!

I took my mom’s car into this shop after getting a vague tip about this shop from an aquaintance and looking at Unilocal reviews and not truly knowing what to expect. I don’t know much about cars, and I think that transmission problems are especially confusing to a non-​expert. I brought in an expensive car with a trans that is known to be problematic. I could have sworn that it had a problem. Turbo could have agreed with me and said that it had a problem and charged me several thousand dollars and I would have been none the wiser. But, they couldnt find anything wrong and admitted as such, and gave me the car back at no charge (I paid them a few bucks anyway). Super thumbs up to these guys!!! I think it’s always proof of someone’s honesty when they can take you, and do not. So, I am passing on the good karma to them with this review…

These guys did a great job on my superduty and charged me alot less than other transmission places. I am extremely satisfied and would recommend turbo transmissions to anyone.

Transmission in «limp-​home mode.» All I needed was a new computer, cause my old one was faulting on the transmission side. They picked one up at the junk yard for $ 25 and charged me $ 128 for it. I was also told that I needed transmission upgrades and a new neutral safety switch. $ 896 and two weeks later I finally got my car back completely frustrated without a vehicle for that long and with many unnecessary repairs.
The computer was the only thing that was bad… I had bought the wrong computer at ecology myself cause of the wrong serial number. Had I bought the right serial number, I would have saved myself $ 864…

These guys rebuilt the transmission on my Ford Explorer at a fraction of the price of everywhere else, and offered a 14,000 mile warranty. Thanks to Crazy Jeff for the tip on this place. These guys do everything right and they fixed what Ford should have done in the first palce on the Explorer’s transmission. They had everything done in three days which is awesome.
One thing: After getting the Explorer back we had a couple problems with it, but they were great and honored the warranty with no questions. Furthermore, they will stay late in order to make sure you are able to get there to pick up your car or drop it off. These folks really care about their customers and it shows.

I have an Audi A4 Quatro 1.8 Turbo manual transmission from 2003. I did some heavy research on all my options and rebuilding my own transmission seemed like the ideal choice. The price from Turbo Transmission was definitely fair, backed with a 6 month warranty, and the rebuild took about a week. They even stood by my original quote after the miscommunication on my car specs.
However, my transmission did pop out of first gear and I did end up returning it a month or so later. They repaired it for free with no questions asked. Though, I was out of a car for 2 weeks. Apparently, the replacement part was back ordered from Audi. A rental would have been nice but I guess I can only expect that from a dealer who wanted to charge me several k more for a new one. Idunno, I guess 5 stars would have been guaranteed if I got a rental. All things considered, I’m pretty satisfy. Thanks!
