I came here for breakfast thinking that I could order some delicious silogs but I was wrong. It’s basically the same as Tita’s Kitchenette(toro-toro) just more spacious and more clean-appearing. You still get the same good-tasting Filipino dishes for a low price. I think at night there is karaōke, entertainment, and such but I have not experienced that. So, if you want a good silog, go to Zarlito’s Family Restaurant!

My family and I ordered the #1, #3 and #4 Platter that provided enough food for 11 people! Service was good from the Caucasian guy. I forgot his name but he stated he also goes by «Hey You!» Lol. Food was fresh and water was refilled. The Karaōke was a bit annoying in my opinion. The downfall is that when my family and I walked in we waited for 5 minutes until a lady asked if we’re looking for someone. Um no? But we are looking for a table. Also, we were all finished and still haven’t gotten our bill until my aunt walked backed and said our server was busy texting. Overall, I would come back whenever I’m in town.

Talking about decent, good quality Filipino home cooked food. This place tops them all anywhere between West Covina, Los Angeles and National City. Affordable! Large portion on any combos and to-go sizes. Best Sisig, Calamari, Kare-kare, Lumpiang Shanghai, Lechon kawali and almost anything on the menu. You will never be disappointed. I recommend to dine-in while in San Diego area on any of the two locations Tita’s Kitchen and Tita’s II Restaurant.

I was visiting my friends in San Diego and suddenly my friend and I was craving for Filipino food and we came here. It was great, even though we came last minute we managed to get something good. We got the pernil and dinugaun. I was very hesitant with the dinugaun because it did not look appealing at all but it was recommended to us by the lady serving us. We had it and it was amazing. and til this day we have been craving it. Loved everything about this place and how a couple dollars can pack such a big punch because we were stuffed just after 1 order of pernil, dinugaun and rice. I cant wait and come back!

I went to Tita’s for the first time yesterday and will never return. The overall experience was outright dreadful: the service was terrible, the food wasn’t much better, the atmosphere was loud and obnoxious, and the billing borderline unethical. Avoid this place! Food: I ordered the calamari which was literally dripping in grease and overcooked to the point it was turning black. After tasting this appetizer, I decided not to test my luck with the rest of the menu; however, I did order a margarita which ended up being pre-mixed and lackluster. Atmosphere: Sunday night was supposed to be karaōke night which is why we went there. When we arrived, karaōke was up and running but it pretty much ran on autopilot. People would start singing and then quit halfway though the song leaving the rest of us to listen to the vocals-less music. This is the only place I’ve ever been to where the songs just keep playing after the singer quits. A short time later, karaōke was turned off for a «special performance» from local«hip hop» artists. I wont be disrespectful to those artists; however, it was way to loud and not something for a family restaurant. Service: Terrible. If someone asks for ranch with their appetizer, give it to them. If you have to charge extra, then tell them it will be an additional fee. Instead of that, the waitress complained about how ranch is more expensive than the vinegar so she would have to check with the kitchen. After suffering through half of our appetizer, the waitress finally brings the ranch over and acts like she is doing us a favor. Also, there is no good reason except for laziness that a restaurant can’t split a check. All the other major restaurants have figured out how to do that. Billing: There really should be a sign clearly posted and the servers should explain that everyone is charged a 15% «service charge.» I see this as an unethical practice aimed at tricking people into double tipping. Lets face it: the service here is not all that great. I was forced to tip 15% when the service didn’t deserve it. If I was management, I would want the servers income tied to their performance. That is the whole point of tipping. Bottom line: Tita’s will continue to lag behind other restaurants until management adapts a customer-centric strategy and ditches the profit-centric approach.

The service is so bad here… It’s a Filipino restaurant in Southeast San Diego so what do you expect? Don’t expect 5 star customer service because it clearly isn’t here. For the people singing karaōke; Titas should honestly make the singers stand in the center stage so they can actually finish the song. We’re here on a Sunday night at 9PM and they had a «hip hop» group perform tonight so we couldn’t sing karaōke(the only reason I come here). The microphone is always so loud whenever someone speaks/sings you go temporarily deaf. The loud microphone throws off everyone’s dinner because you’re constantly trying to speak over the loud volume throughout the restaurant. It took a while to finally flag down a waitress for some service. Food is decent but service is terrible.

Came here for dinner & service was slow & non attentive. Waitresses were up singing at the booth more often than actually doing their job! We came in on a Friday around 730& it took more than 30 mins for us to get 2 orders of silog & mahi mahi(which was SOBLAND!) I’m pretty sure they were just trying to get us to stay til 9pm so that they could charge us $ 5 cover for the band. When we finally got the bill they charged us a $ 7 service charge, BISHWHERE! Our server never even checked on us, asked if we wanted water, NADA. When we went to the manager to ask about this«service» charge, she said we were required by law to pay it & that the best she could do was offer is halo halo or coupons for the next time we would come back… no thanks!

Just got out of there. Waited 15 minutes to order. All I wanted was a halo halo special. I couldn’t get the waitress to talk to me and the lady behind the counter wouldn’t take my order saying it was the waitress’ job. I hope the owner reads this and fires them.

Getting together with some buddies on a Friday night. I searched around for places that served Filipino cuisine but also served beer. I was surprised that a lot of places did not. Which is a shame. Filipino food and alcohol are a perfect match. Tita’s however did serve beer and wine. So We decided to meet there. Not knowing anything else about the restaurant but that they served beer and Filipino food. I guess at the time that was good enough for me. Well, what a pleasant surprise. When I parked my car. It took me a while. The parking lot was full. I could hear a band playing dance music inside the restaurant. Going inside the place was packed. People eating, people dancing, people laughing, servers going here and there. The place was just chaotic but everyone seemed to be having fun. Side note– after 9PM No Kids Allowed. Just adults. The restaurant actually turns into a dance night club. Reminded me of a wedding reception, lol. They played the Electric Slide minus the Chicken Dance. The food is the real reason we went there. All my friends love Filipino food. Being Filipino myself and being born and raised eating it. I looked forward to eating some good authentic dishes. I just have to say Tita’s food is real good. Almost reminds me of my dad’s house. Kuri kuri, pork adobo, pancit palabok, bistek tagalog, the list went on. Our table was full of plates of food, white rice and a pitcher of Coors light. They have Bud, Bud Light, Coors Light and Miller Light on tap. Unfortunately, no craft beer but you need a palate cleansing beer when you are eating food with different textures and taste. The whole time either the band or the restaurant itself played dance tunes while people danced away. For four guys, we did our best to eat all the food we ordered. After we sat there and then the karaōke started. They must of had the Karaōke All-Stars there because they had some people with some amazing voices. Totally caught me off guard but was entertained watching. I was expecting Manny Pacquiao to pop out and start singing at anytime. The place overall is a great spot. It is a restaurant/nightclub/karaōke bar minus the bar. They serve beer and wine. Parking is free but if you come later. Parking can be a challenge. The food is great. They serve the food family style. The price to dine is reasonable. Great for big parties. I can’t wait to come back.

The food is good but i was a little upset Because people get rowdy when thy start drinking is what I was told. The food was good and the guy was nice about it but I’m taking 2 stars off because Filipinos are known to have huge families with babes. I came all the way from North county to say we couldn’t be seated cause i had a toddler after 9. I felt so sad ! 14 and up only for liability purpose I understand I just wish maybe you guys can have a bar section and a place for all … Thanks for responding the food is so good I’ll add more stars

This place is your typical filipino sit down restaurant. It’s not the fanciest, but it’s definitely not the dirtiest. We usually order a bilao which comes in many options, you can get a grilled foods bilao, seafood bilao, mixed bilao or a fried bilao. All bilaos range from $ 28 – 40 and can feed 4 – 5 people and come with steamed rice.

My boyfriend and I came here around 530 and didn’t know that after 5 they have dine in. We came in and didn’t get greeted and had no idea what to do since the steam table was closed. We were standing there for awhile waiting for one of the workers to help us but we had to ask them what was going on. And they still didn’t welcome us here. They finally told us it was dine in after 5 and that we can seat ourselves. We ordered the pork sisig, bistek and Titas platter. Every thing was really good. The upside about the dine in is that the food comes out super fresh! Other than the okay customer service here their food was on point!

Soooo, I’ve only been to this Tita’s II on Sunday nights. Both nights have been right around the 6−8p time frame. Both nights were a bit on the sparse side of things as far as other patrons go. And Sunday nights, as well as a couple other nights during the week, Tita’s features karaōke night! Anyone is invited to sing but when it’s slow I get the feeling that(maybe) the titular Tita is the default singer… maybe? Unfortunately, though, it seems the volume dial on the magic sing machine might be frozen at perhaps the second to the loudest setting. But here’s a glass-half-full thought: any family having trouble with regular old conversations during a meal need not worry one bit! With all the intense & expressive singing going on, who needs conversations?! The food is not terrible for being Filipino fusion that is made to order – nstead of the usual point-point/cafeteria style, that has been the fashion for serving Filipino food for years. I’ll try n go there during the non-karaōke mealtimes and update this review afterward. Till then, happy eating! Oh.PS: I ordered the chicharon bulaklak as an appetizer on both of my visits. …because I’m a sucker for fried, fatty, complex tastes n textures. And because I didn’t know anywhere else that would have had that particular appetizer.

Absolutely terrible customer service. We were over charged with hidden fees. We were charged a service charge, $ 10.50 but the server KIM. If we had known there’s additional fees we wouldn’t have stayed. They asked if we had a reservation even though the place didn’t have a lot of people. $ 3 a person cover fee! The sinigang has no taste! All around bad service. Called to complain the morning people, couldn’t even explain the night menu. The supposed manager also has poor English and people skills all together SAVEYOURSELFTHETROUBLEDONTEATHERE. They should be out of business!

Just got ripped off. Wanted to share it with you. Wish we would have read the previous review about the cover and service charge. We were never aware of it until the check came, and the waitress hovered over us until I signed the credit card and stupidly double tipped her. I wondered why it was so expensive and later figured it out. It’s really a shame they have to resort to underhanded tactics to make their profit. Please post a sign at the door letting customers know you plan to rip them off. Also how can you include the cover charge when tallying the service charge? That is probably fraudulent. The sisig had too much sauce and the binagoongan didn’t have enough. I plan to warn the manangs

My family and I threw a surprise birthday party for my mom at the restaurant and the service and food were excellent! We had around 50 guests and went with the 5 main dish buffet that included soft drinks for around $ 20/person. The management and staff were very nice and accommodating. They allowed us to arrange and decorate before our event and were quick to replenish the meals and drinks when it ran low. We had a wonderful experience with Tita’s II and the meals did not let us down.

The owners of this establishment are greedy. In all honesty I would not have gone here if I had known of the required 15% gratuity charge if you dine during the weekend. On top of that, you also have to pay the band cover charge even if you are there only to dine. Mind you, this is a restaurant, not a club… it’s not even a bar. I tried to explain to our server that it was illegal to charge a required gratuity but obviously she didn’t care… read here for more info: . Don’t waste your time, there are many other Filipino restaurants in the area who will not rip you off. btw, this restaurant is in the hood… they really have no standing to be charging the«gratuity» fee since it’s not that classy of a place — the sewage hole in the parking lot was uncovered as we walked past it… and after reading some of the previous reviews, they obviously have a sewage problem that remains unresolved.

Lunch and Dinner are two different menus so I’m hoping people don’t get confused. During the lunch hours you may select from the prepared dishes. I’ve had the sinigang baboy, lechon kawali, beef steak etc. For dinner I’ve tried numerous dishes and my favorite would be the sisig, lechon kawali, sinigang and lumpia(BESTLUMPIAINSD). Unfortunately I’m not a fan of the calamari. It tasted too fishy for me(but that’s me I don’t like fishy food.) Great portions but of course not as big as the original Tita’s. To me this is quality filipino food. Customer service is excellent and consistent. I only remember one of the servers’ name«Elena» who is awesome! I can see that they strive for excellent service and that’s a number one priority for me. Props to the young lady too during the day. I wish I got her name but she’s so sweet and always smiling at me. She took the time to explain to me what the dishes were since I’m the worst filipino in SD.(Especially I don’t speak the language and I look confused when they speak to me) Check out the weekly entertainment with live Bands during the weekend and Karaōke during the week. Great place for a group gathering. My friend used to come here years ago when it was still under another establishment but his take on the whole renovation«WOW they did good in here.» To summarize my experience: 4 ½ Stars. I’ve been to a lot of filipino restaurants in SD and this restaurant is by far the best service.
